This remix is so good that The Weeknd himself retweeted this back then. And it's featured on Drake's OVO Sound Radio. Congrats Saint Laurent!

I thought Drake and Weekend weren’t cool
@@Aiasem both weeknd and weekend are cool
Do you remember what OVO episode it was on?
The Weekdys is a such a great singer. So glad his son The Weeknd did a cover of this song.

@Lee Gou where did you hear that? I read in an old article from around 2013/2014 (maybe older) that he came up with the name when one of his friends said something along the lines of 'you're here one day then gone by the weekend' or something like that and the saying stuck with him. The father story sounds more interesting though.
@Lee Gou oh right lol, I must've skipped over the end before commenting, such an epic fail on my behalf... i was tired though, leave me alone 😂
Weeknd actually just recently performed this live at this years Super Bowl.
That’s f’ing awesome lol...weekdays and his son the weekend lol

RIP the weekend, him and rick james used to have the wildest parties in LA. Poor guy succumbed to cocaine overdose at ricks house, but his music still lives on.

this is why kanye & k.dot dont want no more parties in LA
Seriously the Weeknd had an amazing 14 year music career, this song was such a hit back in 1986 everywhere this was being played in the radio, before he had some hits but yet would be overshadowed by many big artists at the time. Once this came out many people were now seeing the true potentional that this man always had. I remembered my father would always have this played in his brand new Monte Carlo. I'm glad that I was able to grow up with his music but I was heartbroken when he announced that he was diagnosed with AIDS back in 1992 even when he had the disease he still was showing his best and produced music that became hits while also advocating of the awareness of the disease. Just showed that nothing could stop him from doing what he loved.
R.I.P Weeknd 1960-1995 , gone at such a young age.
You got the death date wrong it’s was 2000 not 1995
The multiverse is real, So glad to be able to travel through it

Yall be hilarious with these timelimes
Of Whom you're talking bout y'all ??
When mj said "the kid is not my son" he was lying...
billie jean WAS his lover smh
It all comes together
Makes sense now
He was foreshadowing of course Billie Jean coming out in '82? Tesfaye was born in the 90's

this original song already had an 80s feel to it but I love this
This is more 80s than the original
This is an 80s orgasm not an 80s feel.
Exactly, that's what I thought when I first heard the original.
@@samthesmartfella no it's not. This is more 80s R&B and the original is more 80s Pop/Dance.
@@sabrina9249 but this sounds like it was produced in the 80s while the original was 80s-inspired
We definitely need an "In Your Eyes" or "Blinding Lights" 80's remake, please!

The whole album is a homage to the 80's
Maybe they more meant a 80 s style music video
Y'all don't need to comment the same thing they saw it the first time
@@oliviaevalyn4394 it's already 80s
The Weeknd really heard this and said dude imma make a whole 80s themed album
I remember back in 1993 i went to a Tevin Campbell concert with my GF at Madison Square Garden, and just when it seemed like the concert was over, Tevin said to hold on, cause he had a surprise for everyone.
Apparently, the weeknd came back stage to hang and surprise Tevin, and when Tevin found out, he pulled the Weeknd onstage with him and they performed this song together live!
It was such a wild event and so unexpected i havnt been able to find any uploads of it online, but if anyone can find and upload that performance, I'd be so grateful, cause it really made that night special.
The original version already was an 80’s remix.
onegoldcell this is a remix of a remix
The offical video was recorded with a 70's betacam.
i know but this version is a lot more smoother
Really. Let me know the source
80s squared
Could be a Michael Jackson Song
The original version could've been it as well
like a human nature
No no no..Michael's songs were smooth with an orchestra background sound, this just has a slowed down and hit a keyboard tempo button sound.I love the Weekend and Michael. This just doesn't sound right.
I think The WeekNd did it great
Don't play my king like that.
That old style of RnB just hits different 🔥🪬

To think MJ turned this down. He thought it wouldn't work on the BAD album.
Sounds more like Thriller to me
I mean...he did alright without this song don't ya think?
Such a shame,it suits his musical style though
MJ has plenty of songs that sound just like this, but better(since he was the pioneer for this type of music along with earth wind fire).

It’s sad it’s been almost 40 years since we lost him due to his cocaine addiction.
Porque?

I have an old VCR of him performing this at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum to a sold out crowd of 90,000 people with Michael Jackson singing with him. I also recall an old interview where Michael talked about how his version of the song remained a demo, because he felt that the vibe from the song wouldn't fit the Bad album, so he sold the rights to The Weeknd, who was still known as Abel Tesfaye and still lived in Toronto. He got a call from Michael, asking him to record on one of his demos which was this song. It was eventually released in May 1988 and that's what gave him his start in the music industry. It's sad that we lost him in a car accident in 2007, shortly after ending a tour. RIP Abel Tesfaye (1962-2007)
This a curious fact, he born the same year that Justin Bieber did, but we lost him on 2002, music industry will never be the same

The Weeknd was signed to MCA Records prior to releasing his debut album. He got signed by Jheryl Busby in late 1986 and his recording sessions lasted from mid January 1987 to late April 1988. A special edition of the album came in 2000 with 2 extra songs added on.

I remember I was at a school dance. The love of my life showed up late. He ran in the dance room, and our eyes met, we gazed for a moment. The song "Eyes Without A Face" just ended and this song "I Feel It Coming" started. We ran to meet each other, and he embraced me. We kissed for a whole minute, and we slowly rocked together to the music. I was reminded of my past with guys who were jerks, and realized that the best man in the world was holding me and we would be in if for life.
Then I woke up and realized it was a dream. Nothing could compare to that moment so my whole day was trash.

Bro that 80s RnB HIT me HARD, and I wasn't even an 80s kid.
If this remix were an actual release, it probably would've been hot around 1987, or even all the way to 1993. This was the style of R&B then. Strong vibes similar to vintage R. Kelly, Tevin Campbell, Silk... good stuff.
You're right .. this is 90s r&b
Very late 80s RnB, kind of like what Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis were producing back then

I was born in the 90's but to be honest 80's was the best decade of love songs, breakup songs, feeling of longing and all the emotional spectrum that human can feel every now and then. I do like 90's but 80's was on a different level. This is such a brilliant work bringing up a new definition of this music. In fact, I this version more than the original one.
Yesssss! I totally agree with you! 💯
Yeah I agree! 90s is great but the 80s has that amazing tune and it's just amazing! born in '89
80s music was so strong a good majority of 90's pop music sounded 80's anyway.
Ond hundred percent agree with you. The romantic music of that time was incredible.
I fr agree sometimes I just want to be in the 80s and just play in the arcade, go to the mall with friends , listen to the music blasting from the radio. They were def the best😍

Some older people won't be satisfied until songs sound like this again lol
Not this older one,I prefer the one he has out now. This is too slow.I miss a lot from the 80's but the slow songs like this are not one of them..I do miss some Lionel Richie,Ray Parker Jr. Smokey Robinson etc. kind of love songs though.
Some of us "older people" have higher standards for the quality of music we like...
sixstanger00 Pretentious. Older music and newer music appeals to different audiences and generations, it’s nothing to do with “higher standards”, because it’s all preference based. If you like 90’s house or 80’s synth pop then sorry to break it to you, but your standards aren’t any higher than someone who listens to modern pop, because everyone has different standards of what they would consider good music.
you dont have to be old to appreciate old music, I have never liked the music of my generation so... nowadays music suck
@@gayestsexhaver This is demonstrably false. My generation grew up on 80s/90s music, but I also enjoy the music of my parents' generation just as much - 50/60s Rock n Roll. I enjoy 70s disco, 70s/80s rock, but I also enjoy classical, as well as big band from Sinatra.
By your logic, none of that should appeal to me other than 80s/90s music, because it's the music associated with my generation.
Further, your argument suggests that there's no such thing as "bad music," when that simply isn't true. Music is no different than film, television, or books - they must adhere to a basic structure that has stood the test of time and is considered to be the most acceptable to audiences. You can't just throw some beats together in a mixer, voiceover them with an auto-tuned voice and expect people to appreciate your composition as much as something that was carefully and meticulously composed & produced using real instruments, real voice talent, etc.
This generation has tapped back into the 80s. Keep on looking and tapping into cause there is so much great music y'all must bring back.
