Before she died due to being crashed by a moving stage platform, I got married on stage at one of her concerts to my boyfriend back in 87, her tragic death happened in 1993. Rest in peace to the legendary Ariana Grande 1969-1993
Nah the cocaine story was a cover up to hide the fact that she discovered time travel, zoomed over to 2013 and debuted under the name "Ariana Grande". Got a modern hair style then she's been at it ever since. Mark my words, she will pop up again in 2055.
Feels like it were yesterday I was sitting in my bedroom with my hair curlers in watching her perform this at the AMAs back in 1985. The cassingle was in my Walkman for weeks! The real queen of the '80s
I will never forget that interview in Indonesia where princess Diana said this was her favourite song. I played it for weeks after she died in that crash, gave me chills when poor Ariana died in the same way less than ten years later. Rip to my two heroes x
0:00-0:21 This has been done phenomenally, the absolute recognizable 80s sound has been put down here. Even though this was not recorded in the 80's itself, I get lost in nostalgia when I hear this instrumental piece.
The electric piano sounds very much like a Yamaha DX7 which is pretty much synonymous with 80's R&B/pop, it was used on almost everything. That and the heavily chorused and compressed Fender Stratocaster single coil rhythm guitar clean tone.
Man this one takes me back, it took me ages to find this song, I first heard it down in vice city at club malibu, I was in the middle of a lap dance and by time i got to the jukebox the song ended. Great night.
Before Mariah Carey, there was a legendary diva Ariana Grande, Mariah openly admits having a huge collection of Ariana Grande's vinyls and posters, and a limited edition keychain with Ariana's name that she bought in 1987
@@soup8160 I remember how much a lot of people saying Mariah is the new Ariana. There can't be another Ariana. She's the one and only. Mariah can't even touch her on her prime.
bluegauloises_xo I agree, and the one thing I wish in this world right now is for the 80's to make a comeback, what a great magical time, I would love to see it in film as well, there's so many great 80's movies, there's a lot to love about that decade.

Ariana Venti Born June 6th, 1956 to Edward and Joan Venti in Boca Raton, Florida. Edward, a graphic designer, and Joan a CEO raised Ariana with full support of her dreams and talents. At 8 years old, she started her passion of music by singing in local Catholic churches. In 1978, a recruiter at Republic Records was visiting local choir arrangement to find a pick out talents for the next big hit. Ariana, being 22 at the time, was still singing for her local church. The recruiter found her to be a "needle in a haystack" of all the local talent nearby, and chose her because of her singing abilities. She later signed on to the record. Her first start of her career was acting on a sitcom titled, "Victorious and Friends" which focused primarily on singing and dancing. She had a good run of 5 years on that show, before it got cancelled during its 7th season. After the show, Ariana wanted to focus more on her solo singing. Still signed on to the record, she wanted to make music on her own for the first time. Her first album, "Record Player Memories", made in 1981 received moderate success throughout the US. But, this was just the beginning, as her whole career was about to begin heavy recognition. In 1982, she released a new album titled, "Dangerous." This album featured such hits as, "Into You" and "Love Me Harder (ft. The Weekend). It received immense success internationally, and stayed as Billboard #1 Hits for over 12 weeks! As her success grew, so did her fan base, and soon, she was playing sold out shows across the world. In 1984, she came out with her second album, "Thank You, but No." This label had such classic hits as, "Focus", "Thank You, but No", and "Pour the Rain on Me! (ft. Lady Gaga). This came to be one of her most successful albums, and gained recognition internationally again as well. Even Princess Diana congratulated Ariana on her success, becoming friends with her in the process. At this time, Venti was 26, young, and ready to mingle. She started a relationship with famous singer Prince in the same year, and got engaged six months later. In 1985 is when her career really started to take off. She had so much influence in pop culture, that even new words and terms were based after her, like, "That's so venti!" or, "You're really being an Ariana right now." She was interviewed on many late night shows, appeared in her famous "Venti or Nothing" commercials for MTV, and became role models to all teen girls out there. On October 3rd, 1985. Venti, Prince, Michael Jackson, Madonna, George Michaels, and Freddy Mercury all partied at a VIP booth at the famous Club 54 in New York City. They were all reported leaving the club by the Paparazzi. Prince was visibly drunk, and stumbling out, and Ariana was holding on to M.J.'s arm. It turns out that Ariana had an affair with Michael that night. The next morning, tabloids spread like wildfire. Prince visibly outed Venti on national live TV, but nobody cared to listen. Prince and Ariana later broke up, and she stayed happily with MJ. In 1986, Madonna hooked up with Prince, and Ariana was visibly upset. It got to the point where they both started to criticize their looks, music, and general appearances. It had became clear that the two were rivals. They both were so popular at the time, that pop culture sides were starting to form, and people chose sides. Many fans attacked each other at the sight of rival singers. The Ariana-Madonna feud ended up costing 5 injuries and 2 deaths overall. Venti later publicly apologized on national television. Also in 1986 Venti would write what would become her last album titled, "It's Me, Fear Me." This album received such hits as "Many Rings" and "Time to Break Free!" Again, receiving wild recognition all over the world, these songs became the top hit singles for 1986. Yet, little did people know that this pop icon just produced her last album, and a generation of fandom for a popular singer would come to a tragic halt. On March 25th, 1987 at 9:30 am, Venti was walking out of the recording studio after she recorded a rough draft for her next supposed album, "More Rings." A 1986 Audi Quattro struck Ariana at 87 miles per hour, killing her instantly. Hollywood witnesses recalled the scene as a, "blood bath." Paramedics arrived, and rushed Ariana to the hospital. She was suffering from a brain hemorrhage and severe blood loss. But, it was too late, as she was pronounced dead on the scene at 9:42am. Her funeral was held in Los Angeles on April 2nd, 1987. Friends and family descibed it as a, "horrible day for music and pop culture." It was a public funeral, but not broadcast. Yet still, thousands of people came to spectate. Michael Jackson put on a memorial funeral for her a few days later that was broadcast on most major channels. Jackson was reported crying in the middle of it. He later spoke to reported saying, "I will miss her, it will be hard to go on, but I'll keep on trying." Many fans grieved the death of Ariana, and many descibed it as a "sad day for music in general." Later, riots and protests broke out in Los Angeles near where the funeral took place. Many fans were reported burning pictures of Madonna and trashing her clothing lines and advertisements. Police later tried to investigate the suspect of this crime, as they believed it to be intentional. Madonna and Prince were obvious suspects. In 1988, Madonna and Prince's mansion estate was legally raided with a warrant, and classified papers for a hitman were put in place. Many witnesses described the people in the car as, a stocky, tall, bald white male; and a skinny, short; darker male with frizzy black hair. It turns out that Prince, and a then-Soviet hitman under the anonym Sergei Armenotov were involved, and were both sentenced with 1st degree murder and 25 years maximum. Madonna was charged with assistance in crime, but was later bailed with $1 million and a 60 day probation period. Venti's legacy still lives on with her daughter Ariana Grande, who was born in 1978 with her then husband, Abel Makkonen Grande (known under his indie stage name "The Weekend"). They later divorced in 1984, giving both parents 50/50 custody. Ariana today is a well-recognized singer and writes her own songs and even does covers of her mom's work. Ariana Venti sure did leave a mark on the music industry. And though it may be short, it was a worldwide-known one for sure. Edit: I had no idea this comment would go so far, and all of your comments made me happy so thank you! 😁 The thing that inspired me to make this was a comment talking about how nobody in the comments picked a set year she died, so I decided to set the lore straight, and here it is!
my mom likes to tell me the story of how she was crying in the bathroom at a club in the 80s, and miss grande wiped her tears and said “girl, forget yo man, let’s get perms”
Yoooo remember when Ariana, Michael Jackson, and Freddie Mercury were making a song together and Ariana said “you can’t say hee hee in this song” to Michael, and then Michael decided not to be in the song after. Damn the good ol times.
Eve Cruz Well there’s more to the story..... Rest in Yuh
I remember dancing with my girlfriend to this song at the school dance in 1985. Good times!!!

Absolutely!!!👍👍👍👌👌👌
100% agree with you!!
Wym this is the original song
I mean....you're not wrong
nahh, theyre pretty much the same in quality, only thing i dislike from the original is that deep voice thing that pops up in the background
This is more my vibe than the other version! I can imagine this being a massive hit 40 years ago
Jeez the 80’s wish I was in high school still, I remember when her and Whitney Huston performed on stage together? Rest in piece Ariana.
Yeah, those were the good old days, it feels like it was yesterday when they preformed on stage together, the nostalgia is killing me.
I know. Cocaine is a silent killer. RIP Ariana 😪
@@Idy.llic_starr as a lamb I'm surprised no one agrrssively objected this statement XD
Rip Ariana

This version is just legitimately better than the OG. I like the OG but this is so, so good.
I will never forget that interview in Indonesia where princess Diana said this was her favourite song. I played it for weeks after she died in that crash, gave me chills when poor Ariana died in the same way less than ten years later. Rip to my two heroes x
Yes. This is why you should never try to have a concert on a cliff. She cound'nt even make it because of one wrong turn. R.I.P. 1965-2005
dude my mom watches the interview and i recalled her telling me all about the details eagerly! ah, how time flies...
Ahahahahahahaahaha
Now this is going too far.....lmao
Oooo that time🤔... "kompas" said Ariana was drunk that time...

I remember hearing this for the first time at the roller rink in 1980.

Wish I was born earlier but at least we have the chance to listen to her
I used to dance to this while crying, I was 15 , now I´m 15, time goes fast.
The lack of time passes, so fast, how I wish it was zero years ago.
wow i think we should have reunion, its been yesterday since we last watch her perform on a stage!
@@SPQRTempus and gated reverb! So very 80s pop.
I think it’s better than the original 🤷
Man this one takes me back, it took me ages to find this song, I first heard it down in vice city at club malibu, I was in the middle of a lap dance and by time i got to the jukebox the song ended. Great night.

bluegauloises_xo I agree, and the one thing I wish in this world right now is for the 80's to make a comeback, what a great magical time, I would love to see it in film as well, there's so many great 80's movies, there's a lot to love about that decade.

Ariana Venti
Born June 6th, 1956 to Edward and Joan Venti in Boca Raton, Florida.
He later spoke to reported saying, "I will miss her, it will be hard to go on, but I'll keep on trying."
Many fans grieved the death of Ariana, and many descibed it as a "sad day for music in general." Later, riots and protests broke out in Los Angeles near where the funeral took place.
