*BOOKS MENTIONED IN THIS VIDEO ARE YA & ARE FOR AGES 13+ | THE INTENDED AUDIENCE FOR THIS VIDEO IS 13+
0:06 "AKA the books that I'll buy right away and let sit on my shelf before I even touch them" **very relatable**
I feel so attackd! very relatable heh
so relatable
The "at least I end up reading them" is how I justify my extreme book buying habits 😭
“I’m on a book buying ban…”
Jesse made me a liar.
‘Vespertine’ by Margaret Rogerson just dropped too, so we should all go get that.
Yes, excited about Daughter of the Deep, BUT WHEN ARE YOU GOING TO READ THE HEROES OF OLYMPUS, JESSE???
I haven’t even read a Sanderson book yet I’m that behind 😂 I’d like to try the Mistborn series at some point though.
I'm also so excited for the Rick Riordan book!!
ARISTOTLE AND DANTE COMES OUT TMRR!
Get HYPED
There are so many fantastic books coming out this fall!❤️
We've got the "Aristotle and Dante discover the secrets of the universe" sequel, we've got the "Aurora burning" sequel aka the ending of the trilogy, we've got "Our violent delights" sequel...
...and here's me. On my first year of uni. Panicking. Having no freakin' time to read what I wanna read! HELP.
Barbie just vomited all over Believe Me😂😂😂
I def want Jade Fire Gold in the UK cover but idk if i want the Illumicrate version or just buy it off Blackwells😅😅😅
I don't need another sad™ book and yet I just added You've reached Sam to my goodreads TBR...why do we do this to ourselves?
I am so excited for You've Reached Sam!!! That book has been on my to be bought list for a loooong time!!! I'm so excited for it!!!
'miniscule traces of romance' is such a funny phrase and also so accurate for chloe's book, looking forward to our violent ends too for sure. hadn't heard of some of these so i'm excited to keep an eye out for them!
“I’m sorry Rick, can you say that again?” 😂😂😂
no thoughts, just that the Ari and Dante sequel comes out this week
I LOVE this book combo!! Fantasy, thrillers and Romance Books? Now I have ALL the recs😌🤌🏼
i'm super curious about the book "all of us villains" that's been described as the hunger games with magic 👀 im sooooo excited for it, i hope its good
I absolutely agree with you about the expansion of the Shatter Me Series. The first three books are some of my favorite books of all time, but the last three feel so disjointed and strange and unnecessary.
Juliet loses all her character development, Kenji becomes a caricature of himself, and even Warner is slightly altered (though I still love him and that’s why I kept reading, honestly).
Even the plot became sort of like a soap opera and less like a serious coming of age apocalyptic romance novel. I mean, secret twins? hidden identities? Juliet and Warner being in love previously? I mean, really? I don’t know. It just was not good at all. I do love these characters though, so I will be reading the new novella, despite how far the series has fallen in my eyes.
I get this is Tahereh Mafi’s most popular work, and she probably doesn’t want to let go of it, but sometimes you have to or you risk destroying the story all together. I think it ended amazingly in book three and the rest of what she wrote comes across like fan fiction.
Thanks for posting, Jesse!!! You’re the best!!!
When Night Breaks (the sequel to Where Dreams Descend) by Janella Angeles, Jade Fire Gold, Little Thieves by Margaret Owen, Vespertine by Margaret Rogerson, Kingdom of the Cursed(the sequel to Kingdom of the Wicked) by Kerri Maniscalco, Cytonic, Dreams Lie Beneath by Rebecca Ross, Gilded by Marissa Meyer…
Your videos are soo amazing!! I read through sooo many books (last year I literally read 120 books! 📚) So, you give some great books that I can look into since I need them! Lol 💝💯
Jesse vibing in flannel with fall books! I love it 😎♥️
I definitely agree with you about the Shatter Me series. I just own the original trilogy 😅
The keeper of the night is so high on my anticipated list it sounds amazing!! You've reached sam sounds so promising to me too and the cover is gorgeous so it is on my wishlist :)
your videos always make me smile :)). I've been watching for about three years and you always bring me so much joy
First I hated reading but after I discoved your channel I read books all night
Thank you so much
Okay you just created a new “I must order immediately” book list for me! I must beat that book shortage. I was just looking this morning online for some new spooky books to read. Thanks Jesse. 👻💀🎃😈
omg these sound so interesting definitely adding some of these to my tbr
ouuu i didn't know about daughter of the deep :o
the spirit engineer is totally going on my tbr lol
you've reached sam sounds so good but so sad aw:(
believe me looks sooo pretty, I need to read the previous book first lol
The books that I buy and will not read them for atleast a year!!!😂😂 I can relate!!
Oooh definitely adding Ferryman to my tbr list! Sounds soo interesting!
Me, planning my next 50 or so reads, in the middle of Realm Breaker, with like 2 or 3 books on hold in the library.
You've Reached Sam is definitely a release that I have been looking forward to. I was lucky enough to get an ARC and it is for sure a journey through sadness. I legit laid on the floor for about 10 minutes after reading it, just thinking about the novel and sobbing.
You’ve Reached Sam looks so good!!!
I can't go into a store without coming out with a bag of books. 🤣
I CLICKED SO FAST
i love the comfy fall vibes
So hyped for Our Violent Endsssss!🧡
I love Fall and I love reading in Fall. My 2 most anticipated books for this year were Empire of the Vampire by Jay Kristoff and The Last Graduate by Noami Novik. I thought both were excellent. I'm also looking forward to the 6th Red Rising book, the 9th Expanse book & Alecto the Ninth? (If that's still the 3rd Gideon The Ninth title) sometime in the future.
Oh, and even though I read it a long time ago, I'm really loving going thru Neil Gaiman's audiobooks for The Sandman 🖤
Great video and thanks for the recs. 🍁👏
I hope you get to all of them and enjoy them!
I want to read The Lighthouse Witches but am so sad that beautiful cover is not available in either hardback nor paperback. 😭
0:11 At least I do eventually end up reading them ~jessethereader 2021
...I need to use this excuse more often....
YES DEATHNOTE!!!
Hey Hey Hey!! Daughter of the Deep released before 5th october in India !!!
Yayyy I love new videos!!
one of my most anticipated reads is defo what once was mine which is basically the rapunzel disney twisted tale
I've been wanting to read you've reached sam since u mentioned it in your anticipated releases of 2021 (or something like that) video and I'm still impatiently waiting for its release. Why am I so desperate for this book to destroy me? 😭
I've got a rick bias! -we need a t-shirt like this :)))
Always look forward to your videos 💙💙💙💙 Puts me in the reading mood. 🥰
This! jesse is just a whole mood all by himself and we are HERE for it. And his boba, we can't forget the boba! *sip*
@@tysonmitchell9737 ofc! Can't forget the Boba🤣😍 I agree 100%. He is a whole mood.
if you like ya fantasy in japan, try Across the Nightingale Floor, its brillant written and started my love for books.
I cant wait to read the shatter me series.
Dragonblood Ring is the fall release I'm looking forward to reading. Just came out too. It's the second in a series and I remember the first one, Blazewrath Games, being pretty good. It has dragons so enough said.
Ferryman wasn't really my cup of tea but it was still very enjoiable and well written, hope you will like it!
I have a copy of ferryman and it seems so good 👀
Waking up to this is such a delight🤩
Ooo great video as usual.
You're not alone in your Bran San situation. The man writes faster than I read.
Im so excited about half of these but its probably going to be super pricy to get to them where im from
Thanks for reminding me of Daughter of the Deep and Cytonic so I could and my tbr. Good thing for my wallet that I don't really have time to read during college. I guess to the Christmas list they go.
"the lighthouse wicthes" sounds like "some kind of fairytale"
I think I want to read You've reached Sam, even when it will probably be sad... :D
Brand Sand should be more popularized name, it sounds so cool!
Jesse vs mentioning Miss Peregrines home in every single video
Have you read Murakami's works?
I CLICKED SO FAST OMG SO EXCITED
"Thank" you Jesse... My amazon cart is not happy. I repeat - NOT HAPPY... 😂🤣
I’m so excited for Cytonic!
I don’t have major anticipated reads except for “You’ve Reached Sam.” I’m not sure if you’d ever consider recommendations, but I found a really good series by an Indie Author.
1. Nothing’s Ever Lost
2. Near-Life Experience
3. Assembling Ella
All by Emma G. Rose, these books have put a whole new perspective on death for me. They’ve helped me through some serious complicated grief, and It’s really brought a lot of peace into my life. They’re really good and 10/10 recommend. I’ve also been in contact with the author herself and she is an absolutely amazing woman and she is so kind and is so good about being in contact with any of her supporters.
Ummmmm how long have you been having bloopers at the end of your videos?! Have I been missing these this entire time? 😅
haha i do it every now and then! :D
Daughter of the Deep was pushed to 10/26. I cried when I found out.
Hey Jesse , can u do a " thriller recs video"?
"Critical Role: Mighty Nein Origins - Jester LaVorre" is high on my list
Also "Truth of the Divine" by Lindsay Ellis
Also "Kith and Kin" also through Critical Role.
Ooooh yes, also also "Terciel and Elinor" by Garth Nix. We have been NEEDING a new Old Kingdom book.
I’ve pre-ordered Jade Fire Gold and was torn between both covers as well 😂 In the end I chose the US cover. It kinda reminds me of Dororo and Kimetsu no Yaiba
Gilded by Marissa Meyer is high on the wanna buy it list for me
Please do a daughter of the deep video
Hello can i recommend you a book ?
There doesn't need to be so many good books always coming out
Can I even call myself a Sanderfan if I didn't know the third book came out in November? 😵
I need Daughter of the deep and Believe me yes I’m trash for The shatter me series please don’t judge me😭
now listen to me jesse we need a video about books that tackle the topic of death. it will be fun... ( not in a psycho way of course)
Ella/ Juliette and Aaron’s wedding finallly
ahee cant wait to go broke xD
💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
Have you read any manga recently?
It’s really cool more booktubers are giving them a a chance
If you read Son od Neptune you will not like Death aka Thanatos😂😂😂😂
I can't wait until believe me I love the shatter me books I can't wait to see Juliet Warner and kenji's up to
The english books that I buy and try to translate in my language -> not that successful u may think :/
People tell you that you mispronounce "Riordan" because you put the stress on the wrong syllable, not because you pronounce the 'I' long. It's Rior•dan, but you keep saying Ri•or•dan, and stressing the 'O'. Rick says the 'O' as an unstressed syllable, so it is VERY NOTICEABLE when you insist on stressing it. The example he gave on his website was that "Riordan" should rhyme with "fireman". You don't say Fi•OR•man. I hope this helps.
Lol.
Says “riORdan” like 5 times
Checks video
Corrects self to riorDAn and tries to play it off like he was right the whole time.
