I love the physical journey in this book, I connected to all the characters except the villains (which prior to Ruin and Rising I only connected to two), I lived for the interactions between these characters especially the friendships between the girls (actually my favourite scene in the grishaverse is in Ruin and Rising, and it is when the girls are fussing over dresses and Tamar and Nadia shares a kiss because this scene just brings me so much joy because of how much I love these relationships between these girls), it is written the best of the three and overall, it is the one I enjoyed the most. It's been a minute since I been in the Grishaverse and now revisiting with Nikolai(who is not a favorite for me) is a little weird but Im happy to see the other characters like Zoya and Genya and David and possibly Nina.
Ironically, I JUST got back from an out-of-state trip to visit family a couple days ago. And on that trip, we drove over 100 miles to the next city to visit Michaels, Hobby Lobby and Barnes and Noble 🤩📚. I had planned for months to get 3 specific books while I was there, even kept checking the website to make sure they were all in stock. BUT 1 of them went out of stock literally the weekend I arrived, so I was only able to get the other 2 (even though I did browse for a while and didn't find anything I felt worth getting in physical format, since my shelf space is dwindling). I started reading 1, Daughter of Smoke and Bone, on the trip home, with Days of Blood and Starlight to follow. I honestly wouldn't recommend flying at this time because both of my trips by plane were nothing but delays, delays, DELAYS. My connecting flight and last leg of the trip out changed like 3 times while I was in the gate and I didn't arrive until 4 hours past my original arrival time. Then on the way back, a delayed departure meant I was likely to spend a night in another city and not get home until the next day anyway, so I stayed 1 more night and got a completely new itinerary for the next morning. And THAT got delayed by a couple hours as well. The only plane trip that went right was the last one home, and I had a 2-hour layover to read.

Great video as always Jesse. I'm currently reading, "How Moon Fuentez Fell in Love with the Universe" by Raquel Vasquez Gilliland. I've just started reading this book and so far I like it. I just finished reading Second Chance Summer by Morgan Matson yesterday and that book was so good. It hit me in the feels real hard. Looking forward to your next video. :)
If you want to read more fantasy I think you should explore David Eddings! He wrote the Belgariad and Mllorean series, and they are both set in the same world!
I start my Abitur this Thursday, I'm excited and hella nervous at the same time.
Abiturgenossin, eh? Ist mir auch schwer gefallen. Aber das packst du.
Oh. My. God. I am so early 😂. Btw love you and your videos Jesse ❤️
OMG Jesse Im so sorry but I actually liked Fairest more than the other Lunar Chronicle books (Cinder was good tho) BECAUSE it didn't make me feel sorry for Levana but it made me see and understand why and how she was so twisted.
I'm currently reading King of Scars for the first time. It's been a minute since I been in the Grishaverse and now revisiting with Nikolai(who is not a favorite for me) is a little weird but Im happy to see the other characters like Zoya and Genya and David and possibly Nina.
I'm currently at the end of "To Sleep in a Sea of Stars" and about half-way through "The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue".
Jesse, you have true great taste.
watermelon's a fruit that we stan.
Long way down is absolutely top tier I agree I agree
I'm currently reading pretty little liars by Sara Shepard and I'm lovin it❤....
Love you Jesse love you so so much
Ironically, I JUST got back from an out-of-state trip to visit family a couple days ago.
Congratulations on 400K!!! ☺️
3:45 6:32 8:54 17:38 😂
Your videos are great. Please do part 2 with your other shelves.
Low key wanted to hear your critique on the bridge of clay 😂. I love the book thief and I agree that the bridge of clay isn’t on the same level but nevertheless, I enjoyed both despite having a clear favourite 😂
I am currently reading The Book Jukper. Love the concept it's not super grabbing my attention though.
i know this is just for analytics but i’m answering your questions from the beginning of the video anyways.
I’m doing really good. i’m making my room look better and am loving it so far. oh and something interesting: i’ve been seeing 11:11 a lot and my old best friend from elementary school reached out to me. so cool!
glad you’re doing well! also it’s not just for analytics, but i could see why you think that. i genuinely love reading through my comments & seeing how people are doing.
@@jessethereader awe awesome ty
Your bookshelves are so nice with all the books the same height 🥰✨
We should make this the new trend on Booktube
Thank God I saw you uploaded because I was just about to empty and reload the dishwasher.
😂😂😂
The Witchland books are all criminally underrated! Loved the video
I just got news that the college I wanted to get in cancelled their entrance exam...and I didn't really think of a back up and so I Don't know how to feel....I feel panicked but I am trying hard to stay calm. I am just pushing everything inside so I can think of anything... But In reality I just want to cry, break my phone so no one would ask me *what will you do ?* and run away so I will be alone and unbothered 😭
your shirt matched the cover to "Don't read the comments" perfectly!
