We are definitely seeing the results of kids not getting their butt busted like we did. I enjoy the conversation style format

I thank God I had parents and grandparents that taught me how to work to get things in life and gave me a value system to build my life on..God love, respect honesty and always give it your best.

I was raised on a dairy farm, lived every minute of it. We were poor, but always had the best food. We had a big garden. We were taught to work hard and to be honest.

Yes you are right Mike. Everything you said is true. Kids today are not held accountable for anything, which is the biggest problem. Everyone thinks they're entitled about everything. When the kids turn into adults and things don't go the way they want, they can't handle it. Well, you take care Mike.

You've got yourself and the dogs a perfectly imperfect place - this, or something better, is the way to go!

So true...I told my grandchildren just the other day. Children imitate what they see. We knew we had to listen, or else. 😂Todays little ones have it to easy.

Good morning Mike. We were raised to always respect my elders. If our parents had friends visiting the rule was we were never to intrude in adult conversations. If we were disrespectful to our mother or another adult, our father would punish us by using his belt across our backsides. Sometimes I would be grounded. We had curfews. We were not permitted to go to a friends house if my parents did not know their parents. We did not cuss as we would have our mouths washed out with soap. We went to Sunday school, were involved in various clubs and spent a lot of time doing fun things with both our parents. Since the anti smacking law was introduced in our country, I have watched the younger generations after me decline morally and too many children have become entitled and self absorbed. Nowdays both parents have to work too, which sadly means that little time is spent with their families and many kids today are left too much to their own devices.

Hey Mike 👋🏻 Yeah mine did a good job with my brother and I. We never broke the law and both of us became upstanding community members. Both of us became LEO’s. We’re both old now & he retired last year as assistant police chief. We both did okay 👍🏼 Both parents are gone now and we both appreciate how they raised us. 🙂👍🏼

I have said for years, my parents did the best they could with what God gave them. Dad was a barber, mom the oldest of eight, the razor strap was a real thing. I never got a spanking for the same thing twice. Lol

Back in my school days I was taught by the Nuns. They had the black strap and you got one or two hits on the palm of your hand for misbehaving. You learned respect pretty quick. Sad to see how things are today.

Hi Mike my parents raised me right. To respect other people. All my daddy had to do was look at us and we knew we better stop what we're doing. I've had swats in school . Ive had my hand swatted with a ruler. We hsd 6 in my family. My daddy worked hard and we always had enough to eat my momma was a stay at home mom and I'm so thankful. We would be coming home from school and could almost smell supper cooking. I raised mine the same way called it tough love . They turned out great kids and I'm proud of them. Greetings from Northeast Ohio. I did go over and watch your video of a year ago when you met your family at the Mexican restaurant. You and your one brother look like your dad. The brother with the glasses does not. Your mom had her sunglasses on so I couldn’t really what she looked like. So from the video I got that you guys hadn’t been together for seven years. That’s a long time not to see family.

Nothing wrong with a butt tap. I understand the there are those who do abuse children. Though a normal tap or two on the butt is certainly not abuse. In today's life and times, the kids just do and say what they want when they want, and look at all the crime and savagery going on all over. That's just so sad. 😢
