- Uraraka received a nerf and buff in the most recent patch for My Hero Ultra Rumble. Her beta (the spin) was nerfed and her gamma (gravity lift) received a size increase across the board. Today I’m going to be playing the new Uraraka and see how the changes affected her. Enjoy!

I’d say the play style of uraraka has changed. Have to be more flexible and can’t just rely on just her car to win.

@@CharismaticDemon_ngl i kinda love it as a uravity main. It made me develop a fun strat of just staying in the air and yeeting endless cars at enemies to break their guard before i rush in lol. My teammates were so confused when they saw me just infinitely suspended in air XD

On the topic of the video tho, I'm pretty sure Uraraka was the most requested nerf out of everything in the game safe for Todoroki. I think the hit box change is perfect but I'm not sure how I feel about the hit detection change, not sure if that was necessary or not. And the gamma buff is a nice quality of life change which given how you need to use it I think is good.

Yeah I messed around with it on a stream before I just wish we had more freedom with the settings to do solos/ duos and tweak levels and health values

Uraraka is still very strong also with that beta nerf because that move is very good also now after the little nerf, and now you can also count more on your gamma with this buff. Maybe, as i saw on the comments and in the video, now you have to change a little how you play her, specially with beta's change, but i like that everytime they do buffs and nerfs that dont kill a character (even if dabi for me need a little buff and not 50 hp less with only buff the special action😂). Super video Demon, was so funny when that iida wants to die in the storm😂
Yeahhh the Dabi change was unexpected, not to sure why they took the 50 hp they gave him in a previous patch 😭 And I agree Michele Uraraka is definitely still a strong character just gotta use more of her kit now and can’t solo rely on good ole spin 2 win

Hit detection nerf was definitely needed cos before you would lock enemies into the combo before the spinning animation had even started

I'v been trying to get used to the hitbox nerf for a few days now and the lack of verticality is definitely what's throwing me off. Last season, if I was a couple inches above people's heads they'd get hit but I have to be a little closer to the ground now and it's a hard thing to unlearn. Despite that, I still think Ochako's pretty good and I'm glad that at least her gamme got buffed in exchange
Yeah the verticality hitbox is what I felt the most. Was just giving people haircuts 🤣
You notice the delay in start up time less so when you're pressuring someone on wake-up since you're going to start it up early to catch their first non-invulnerable frame anyway. The problem is that now when you're down after a todoroki freeze or mt lady stomp or froppy etc you have nothing you can do back on your wake-up to them, like how that ochako tried but your car beat her out even though she was the one waking up with invincibility. She can just get trapped forever against people that know to abuse it.
The horizontal hitbox is still definitely very noticeable to me as someone who played her soooo much but it's not that bad and definitely usable, the hitbox problem for me is vertical like you noticed. She plays in the air grappling around mostly and you just miss so many things you could have hit before.
Like I said though the gamma buff is good, and I think you could definitely do well with her mobility running around and constantly third partying other fights by gammaing everyone at once, that's just definitely not my playstyle lol
Even though I do think she's one of the weakest characters now (kinda just because literally almost every other character feels extremely good tbh? I struggle to name bad characters in this game anymore) I think it's definitely largely just because I was also SO used to how she was that it hits me the hardest. After I learn a bunch of other characters for a while and I don't have the muscle memory anymore maybe I'll try her out again.
Yeah after playing more matches I noticed her options were worsen on wake up because of the delay 😭 And like you said she’s mainly in the air so the vertical change is really apparent too. I did notice after playing more matches just 3rd partying with the gamma is super easy now with the size and the fact it has a pretty fast cooldown but just like you that playstyle isn’t really for me

Ive jus been trying characters i never used like denki compress dabi and surprisingly i got a win with all of em today atleast i have more characters to use than just bakugou and lida yknow
More characters to play keeps the game fresh 😄 plus compress and Dabi for some nice shadow buffs too this patch

I love the new playstyle myself. The gamma having a wider range makes it so much more sense for Ochaco as a character as you would want the float to be one of her main moves, not car throwing XD

I think the balance changes to her were perfect as the gamma buff encourages more combo play with her over use alpha to get in, spin with car, alpha to get out, if only they did the same for toga or iida

they need to fix going into your inventory it used to be perfect and not laggy but it feels like i gotta press it 2-3 times just for my inventory to pull up…hard to be quick and tactical when you cant drop a small shield for a big shield and so on…

Which combo is better for mt lady?… stomp alpha stomp alpha then stomp? Or just double stomp couple alphas then last stomp for knock down? I see some do the first one but wen I try to do da second one I get messed up pretty bad(sometimes)
I usually just do stomp alpha stomp alpha and then gamma because most try to run away and the gamma will track which at that point you can cancel the gamma into the finally stomp if you want

What do u use to jump i switcht mine to L3 for jump and aim but rolling with L3 is very difficult

I thought i try and pick up uraraka since i never used her I tried her once in a private match 1v1 to see how she worked i noticed off bat you cant really use her like regular attackers her alpha leaves her open too much to being shot at and you camt just mindlessly spin over and over her gamma seems like its the best way to set up both but idk if that's how I just see it

As a Mt. Lady/Momo main I'm glad her beta was nerfed. I love that but, when i do actually play Uravity I gotta change my playstyle to where you don't need to rely on the car and actually do some decent combos like the gamma into Alpha, gamma, beta tht combo is kinda saucy ngl.
Damn that bug sounds rough. And yeah the play style for Uravity definitely has changed but those gamma combos are still satisfying and well damaging

i never got to use Ochako until she got nerfed, tried her and absolutely despise her play style and skills, would rather play Ibara for the rest of my life than touch Ochako again until she gets buffed , like why buff a character just to nerf her a little later…I dont understand the devs in this game…

17:19 the healing effect was being spammed to hell on that dabi possible hacker or he could've been in a call with his ally and they were healing left and right but the delay between the heals were 2 quick so seems less legit
You know there are hp cards that will heal you for a long time if you increase its level right? Cause thats what the dabi was using. You cant hack on console

That camera angle bug cost me a match back when solos was up. I was so mad. I finished 2nd, but I literally just got done 1v1-ing a Kirishima as Ibara (which is not fucking easy) and just had to mop up a Deku who wasn't very good and who I downed earlier but couldn't finish.
tldr: I understand that Iida deeply
Edit: If it was the same glitch as mine then your camera sort of remaps to your movement or left stick. So basically the camera spins every time you walk forward and you end up walking in circles. Super disorientating.

@@CharismaticDemon_ They may not have known about the bug. This is the second time i've seen it ever. So I must not be very common. And they may not know what causes it. I suspect it might have something to do with the execution animations.

Personally I never had problems with this character add I actually found her easy to deal with the most annoying part about her is only how fast she can go but that's isn't a reason to hate on a character 😅
