This is definitely an interesting view of ptsd/past abuse and looking back at your own memories. The button presses of 'was that "cabin"/memory dangerous? Was that situation dangerous?' and second guessing yourself over it all the time... Neat! Like I'm pretty sure the times of when it seemed fine and you pressed the button and it dinged wrong are a 'hey this situation seemed fine, but it turned out you missed something so now it's dangerous' kind of allegory(?) and if it really is on purpose i think they did a neat job portraying that. Using the recent subgenre of spot-the -thing-wrong for this was really clever!
