They do have classes as well as prepare for the next level of life during, and/or after football. If you're a really good player, you can leave after 3 years in football. Most other sports are one year and done, or straight out of high school to the pros
Everyone made it all about Deion and CU with the high transfer numbers when it was obvious that college recruiting has completely changed with NIL, transfer rules where players don't have to sit, and schools being allowed to pay. In this new world, it doesn't matter how many players transfer from a program because those programs should only be judged with how well they play the next season. All about replacing talent that decides to leave for another program, so schools will need to work harder to pick up players who is looking to leave from where they are at.

Doesn't take much effort to have a "top recruiting class" when geographically you're located in south Florida, the greatest natural resource for high school football talent in the nation. Miami's problem hasn't been recruiting; it's been coaching. It just hasn't been there. That's why a lot of players from that region have chosen other programs such as Bama, UGA, Clemson, UNC, etc....
many kids in high school were able to be freshman playing varsity football, so they come to college like man i need to play now i need 1,000 yd or this many TDs to get NFL scout to look at them.. Well Deion brought in scout to tell his players because of RB Dillion Edwards left because he wants 1000yds despite scouts saying fresher legs are better with great outlook.. Deion did kick the old players off he said he is bring 3 pieces of LV, and then some other dogs the 2nd yr.. so most kids wouldn't have made a difference the one that stayed are back ups or training squad.. I'm proud of JB for finally seeing the light
They're not really losing players. Most of the guys aren't in the two-deep. Let them transfer to another programs where they can play. The days of Alabama and USC stockpiling three-deep in 5-star players is over. That's not a bad thing.
I get wanting a coach to display patience and develop a kid. But let’s examine the coach’s point of view: There is no more patience with these coaches. Programs are in win now mode. Some of these coaches get these jobs fully understanding win now or get gone.
Xfer portal is too chaotic for programs to remain stable. Xfer portal should be for players that are not first team starters and you should be eligible for one xfer per career. Just my suggestions.

The days of the coach being the only person to leave are over....less politics get involved and try to do something to legislate rights.

It's not the school's job to turn players into men, that's something parents are supposed to do. There is so much money a stake. Your guest have a problem with the family coming in as an entity, but that's ok that's why several school will suck and will continue to suck because they just don't get it. A lot of the transfers look like players who weren’t starters anyway. It’s really not a big deal. Backups going to be backups elsewhere. Someone commented “you can’t lose 34 players and expect to win.” This isn’t the NFL’s 53 man roster. College teams have around 90 players on the team. Considering there are only 22 starters out of that 90, losing 34 depth players who may have never touched the field in 4 years isn’t a big deal.
