  • In this video I take you step by step on blocking for this light.
    once you get the blocking down then you can do these lights with your eyes closed.
    start to finish for this left handed holster and it looks pretty damn good.
    enjoy

      I figured showing a holster being cut and sanded can be boring and just adds a ton of time to the video. So trying new things

    Gotta say, your tips and advice is beyond anyone else, no one tells of the 5 layers and that last tip on the site dowel over hang is tops. Been bending kydex for my own stuff and getting great definition thanks to "heat the foam" and a copy of your press. I kept getting foam stuck on the kydex but a light coat of gun oil on it solves that totally. Thanks for all your efforts! Will be visiting some buyers this weekend. Keep the hustle.

      It's pretty straight forward. Figure out the size and shape you need and hit it with a dremel or any metal blade

    What is this wizardry? Haha! Nice video editing. What type of pencils do you use and where do you get them? Are those fabric pencils? I've been making a ton of holsters for Baldr minis and PL minis lately, I love with the blocking how the holster ends up just looking like a square ⬜

      Fabric pencils you are right. Can be found at hobby lobby or Walmart. I just order off Amazon. White works the best

    When adding a dowel for sight channel on molds that do not have that prepping, I am always having problems with it moving after foam press. What could I be doing wrong? I am also sanding the bottom as you do.

    • @FalTacUnlimitedLLC
      @FalTacUnlimitedLLC  3 роки тому

      Tape it extremely tight. And by sanding a slot so the front post sits inside the dowel helps a lot.

    when you make a holster for a gun that already has a Red Dot mounted on the slide, do you remove the dot prior to pressing in the mold or will it be okay under the heat and pressure of the clamp?

    • @FalTacUnlimitedLLC
      @FalTacUnlimitedLLC  Рік тому +1

      Depends on how you want to make the holster. I have done it both ways with keeping the rmr or not.if you're looking to cover the rmr. Keep it on. If your cutting around it. Keep it off

    Random question, why didn't you cut the kydex down to the belt attachment? You left an 1/8 th or so, maybe a quarter inch of material over the belt attachment point instead of cutting it down to the blocking, did that make sense?? Lol Never realized how hard it is to describe these things through text haha

    • @FalTacUnlimitedLLC
      @FalTacUnlimitedLLC  3 роки тому +1

      If you cut at the fomi it is actually weaker. Will crack easier. So I leave some material above the fomi

    • @joshmajor8662

      @@FalTacUnlimitedLLC I completely agree and do the same!! My concern was when you showed the pics at the end you could see the holster was "touching" the pistol above the clip, normally for me that's where I'll get wear marks on the gun If I'm not careful. I'm guessing with the light it should open up the holster just enough it doesn't touch?
