Here in NJ and and the metro area, Al Leiter has done so much for people and even goes to fund raisers for a cause or charity. He is one of the very few who will talk to you one on one and treat you with respect. He does not think He is above anyone else and is very down to earth. One of the nicest guys you will ever meet.

And it made pitching both sides of the plate easier but some people think its not as deceptive to do so, so kids are taught young as lefties to throw from the 1st base side but I only did that against other lefties so I would be throwing from behind them.
Most pitchers are afraid of this: Clayton Kershaw. He paints the outside of the plate and doesn’t really come in. He’s been throwing a slider in a lot more to righties and it’s been effective though. My point is that with a fastball/Cutter Kershaw never likes to come in

I didn't even throw that hard. Maybe hit him with 82. Just got him in the right spot. It sucked. I knew the kid too, and his mom. After that I had trouble pitching inside until a random player told me when trying to pitch inside, "AIM FOR THEIR NUTS. They will always jump out of the way and that's where you want to be inside". It was some of the best advice I had ever gotten as a pitcher.

I think i gave up only a few homers to power hitters, base hits pretty much, a few dubs and trips. I'd have a little trouble pitching to power hitter lefties, I'd jam them in too.

Pitchers need to do something about all these homeruns and a different ball. It felt like in 2017 I was just seeing hitters get their arms extended and smash especially the Dodgers. It seems like a league wide thing that pitchers have to go back in.
Couple reasons for that, mostly on the hitters. Too much equipment (elbow pads, shin guards, chain mail, etc.) and, more importantly, aluminum bats in LL, college, etc. Aluminum bats have a sweet spot closer to the knob, so guys can crowd the plate. Get rid of those, and hit batters will go way down.
high school is too late. you need to do it as soon as you start throwing, and even if you do half the time it's really not worth it because you become so inconsistent.

Every sunday there are games in my hometown culiacan. They are not profesional but man. I just love watching the pitching, batting, the pressure, the tension. No other sport has that.
Mario I'm also a dodger fan and hope they get it done this year. I think it was a mistake extending Robert's as manager, he cost us the series in 17 pulling Hill in game 2, and the lack of moving baserunners last year was inexcusable especially coming from a guy with his history.
I never played either and am personally terrible with throwing or batting, but the many subtle nuances of the game combined with the macro essence and feel of the game is just so unique and magical. I love these in-depth teaching moments because it helps open up casual onlookers to the inner beauty of the game. The passion for the game reminds me of how John Madden would paint the screen full of yellow lines to exuberantly explain to the viewer what happened on a replay. Educating fans in a fun way helps draw more people in!
