Outstanding. So well engineered and levelled and barbershop perfection. The tightness of the harmonies, and the musicality of the vocal arrangement is beautiful. Freddie was a modern-day Mozart without a doubt.
I have shared this link with my Wife many times. I wish she was more computer savvy. If she was computer savvy, she would know how much I love her from another angle. By the link. Ahh well. I will keep trying.
@@kacperkwasniewski9060 Nope. LOML wasn't written for Mary. He was cheating on Mary when the song was written. He was in love with David Minns and John Reid even said that the song was for David. The movie's scenario and real life facts are not the same.
I have a question about the recording process on this. Clearly Freddie's lead is its own recorded track. But the background harmonies: did they A) record each singer separately on their own track, then layer up. Or B) they are all in the same room, one mic, or C) same room, sound dividers, separate mics? I think it is B, primarily because they so locked in both in terms of pitch and meter. Anyone know for sure?
Written by John Deacon about his wife... he's still married to her, have six kids together.
It's even more cute because she was actually his fiance at the time!

Wow John got busy!! 🎉
1:50 simply breathtaking
absolutely stands on it's own acapella. Singers.....this is the benchmark.
Exactly The vocals are even more amazing when you can here it more clearly and amplified without the other instrument overshadowing it.
2:24 ♥️
2:13 best vocal band in the world
@1:33 have to keep rewinding. Listen to how Freddie just slightly bends the word make. God. I can’t cope with how good this is.
Holy shit I never noticed this until you pointed it out thankyou
Karan Rajesh it is not in the regular version. They fade it right as he hits that note for some reason.
It sounds gorgeous. Kind of like mehk not make. I LOVE ITT!! ❤️ I’ll always notice this now
John Ferry he did that phrasing a lot in the live performances of this song

I think its funny that Love Of My Life was written for Freddie's best friend, where My Best Friend was written about John's wife
Love of my live was written for Freddie's then girlfriend Mary Austin, who after they had broken up became his best friend
Roger Taylor wrote I'm In Love With My Car because he was in love with his car
LOML wasn't written for anybody. This was movie's scenario

I think it’s B ✌🏼
The vocals were recorded on separate tapes individually. They were all mixed together, which is a pain to do back then.
