The innocent-never heard of that one The holdovers- I thought it was ok. Wasn’t as high as many others. Flower moon-appreciate the film but a little long and westerns are a tough sell for me. A fire-never heard of that one. The killer-wasn’t bad but, didn’t make my top. Beau- I loved this one as well. Theater camp-never saw it. Poor things-loved it. Unfortunately I couldn’t see it until almost Feb as my area didn’t get it till then. Would have made my 2023 list. The boy and the heron-not big on anime Oppenheimer-was a good time Anatomy-definitely well made. Ironclaw-was very good but really depressing for sure. The beasts-never heard of that one. Maestro-I wish I would have enjoyed this one. The eight mountains-never heard of this one either.
The Innocent is a lovely film, I’d recommend it, Afire also was a beautiful German movie. The Beasts is a TAUGHT thriller that I really enjoyed, and The Eight Mountains is a GORGEOUS Italian film that is definitely worth a watch. I also thoroughly enjoyed Beau and Poor Things. It looks like maybe you’ll have to search for a theater that puts on some more international cinema. I have a cinema near me that focuses a lot of independent and international cinema which is mostly where I saw a lot of these. I am not a big anime fan per se, but have you watched any Studio Ghibli films? (Hiyao Miyazaki).
I saw it just recently. It certainly would’ve had a place somewhere on this list of films. It came to my area only around a week ago or so. I may do a review for it, I found it to be a deeply impactful film.
