- The Augustinians are members of the Order of Saint Augustine, a community of brothers and priests present in over 40 countries around the world.
The Augustinian charism is common life, living together in “one mind and one heart intent upon God.”
Community, friendship and hospitality are at the heart of the Augustinian way of life.
God could be best discovered in the company of friends, and that is how the Augustinians have chosen to serve God.
In their communities and places of ministries, the Augustinians seek to foster St. Augustine’s ideal of uniting people in the communion of mind and heart for the glory of God and the service of God’s people.
In their witness of the common life, the Augustinians journey together in search of the truth that is God, hold all things in common, and support one another as brothers and friends united in charity.
Among those they serve, the Augustinians try to create what they seek in their own houses: a community of love and respect, where the presence of God can be recognized in each member.
In Australia, the Augustinians serve in various ministries in North Queensland, Brisbane, Melbourne and Sydney. Our ministries include parishes, schools, Indigenous Connections, and ministry to Youth and Young Adults. They also have missions in Korea and Vietnam.
If you feel God is calling you to religious life, we invite you to join in our service to God and His Church as consecrated religious brothers and priests. Connect with us at osa.org.au or email us at vocations@osa.org.au

What is that herb they are burning? And why?
It might be white sage, and if so is a symbol of purification.
Augustine on Mary: 'Mary was more blessed in accepting faith in Christ than in conceiving the flesh of Christ.' His interest in Mary was Christ centred.
Augustine on predestination: God's foreknowledge of those who, through God's grace, would be saved. These people have been elected and destined for salvation. God actively chooses certain individuals to be the recipients of His grace, confers it on them in a way that altogether overpowers their own will to sin, and leaves them utterly transformed to live the life of blessedness.

For the reverend, you are not a Chrietian because of the Pope. It does not matter who is the Pope and whether you like him or not. You are Christian because of Jesus Christ.
If you pay a priest to little for leading a service in your house, he will never come back! Priesthood is just a job, like plumber, or secretary.
a lot of Augustinians was martyred for the faith in africa, china and japan, plumber and secretary normally wont do that.
First of all, priests would take and receive any blessings from other people rightfully and just.
Second of all, a service in a house like a blessing is only once, you can't bless your house twice that's why they won't come back, and third, don't compare priests and their vocation to professions like plumbers, you are talking non-sense from your prejudice.
You call yourselves Augustinians, but you weren't founded by Augustine of Hippo. If you had been, you would not be in the Roman Catholic papal institution. You would reject salvation by grace and works but only by God's grace through faith, because you would understand the meaning of grace which is incompatible with works. You would accept the truth of God's word that justification is by faith not of works and you would believe in the doctrine of divine election, that God is the one who chooses whom He will save, how, when and where. Augustine understood the Biblical truth that human beings are incapable of seeking God because of their spiritual depravity and that no one can be saved unless God seeks them out first and converts them to His truth in accordance with the Scriptures, without twisting and distorting and manipulating their true intended meaning. Augustine understood redemption by the cross of Christ and he would have rejected the false doctrine of purgatory which was invented several centuries after his death.
Amen 🙏
Augustine was not a Calvinist 🤔😂
@@nathanaronsohn8665 Neither was Calvin. What they had in common was the belief that the true gospel of salvation comes from Christ in accordance with the Scriptures, without twisting and distorting its intended meaning.
neither the Jesuits, Redemptorists, SVD, Crosiers, Paulines was founded by Jesus and Paul
