I like going back and looking at fundamental videos like this. I've been mixing for ten years, and there are a million ways to skin a cat when it comes to technique. Sometimes you miss simple tips along the way, or forget, or get into bad habits. It's good to refresh.

nice simple approach to eqing, especially for songwriters who are just wanting to get something recorded and nice brush on it (i focus more on songwriting and my instrument and its tuff to also learn the whole art or production)

How do we level vocals if they originally sounds quiet then loud on and off with an empty room sound. This is raw vocals im talking about. Should i compress first and use a sound leveler then EQ? I do everything myself and do a decent job but i need more guidance. Cuz you make everything sound so clean

No. This is the video you need to be learning. Once you understand how to eq you can use any eq plugin.
