The way I fixed mine after nothing worked I just connected a wired keyboard to the ps4 and went to settings to delete all the memorized controllers then put the controller in pairing mode and just reconnected

Tim Swartz it was just regular wired usb dell keyboard but the thing is with mine it didn’t show the thing about connecting a controller. Maybe to to restart the ps4 completely, hard reset or soft reset, if you haven’t already

I have found a method which requires 2 controllers (Including the controller that won’t connect) with a working controller go on to settings and Bluetooth settings and forget all DualShock controllers expect for the one you are using( the one you are using will have a green dot next to it) and with the other controller hold down the share button and ps button till it starts flashing and then it should show up on the Bluetooth devices then save the controller. I hope this helps

Been having this problem for over a year now , if your ps4 freezes and your controller is blinking white and won’t connect just turn off your ps4 , wait until the ps4 light stops blinking . After that Unplug the power cord from the ps4 , wait 15 seconds then plug it back in . When you have plugged the cord back in the ps4 make sure to connect your controller to the usb charger and wait until the ps4 turns on fully . It’s gonna say press the middle button once it turns on but instead of pressing the middle button make sure you restart your controller by poking the lil open hole in the back of it . After you have completed these steps press the psn button and it should work . It’s crazy how many people have this problem for it being a million dollar company

I had the same problem, plug the controller into something other than the ps4 (e.g a normal charging block) for about 30 seconds then try with the PlayStation again- worked right away for me
This didn't work for me. But something else did ! I never knew, but *holding the PS button + Share button* (without the controller being connected to the ps4) puts it in *pairing mode*. You should then find the controller under *bluetooth devices* in settings. Connected instantly !
And what if you can't go into devices because you are stuck in the password screen or the other screen where it says that ylu pkwered it down wrong and to press ok to continue?
If you are like me 30 minutes ago after playing on mobile through the remote play app you go ahead and try to connect your controller to the PS4 but suddenly there is a blue flashing light and your screen says press PS button but you are and it doesn’t work DO NOT go into safe mode unless you are sure your controller will connect through a wireless connection if not do what I did because safe mode was just another problem I had to get out of. So what you need to do is restart your PS4 by having it on then holding down the power button until the second beep after that don’t press anything it will turn itself back on once you have done that any errors preventing you from getting onto the app will be resolved once this is done open PS4 remote play and go to settings and forget all controllers once done hold down the share and PS button on the controller for 5 seconds then it will show up and through the mobile device register the controller. This works on all platforms. You’re welcome.
I had so much trouble and could never find a video to work. This video was a stepping stone to realizing I had to many devices connect at one point in time and never forgot them all and that’s why mine couldn’t connect and I’m so happy I could cry😭😭😭😭
A tip this works but for some reason this wasn't working and as soon as I changed the wire it worked. So maybe there's a special kind of wire to make your PS4 recognise your controller
I found that the usb cable I tried with first didnt work but when I switched to the official one that came with the ps4, it worked right away. This is after having followed the instructions in the video. Thanks for the tip.

I connected my controller to my phone and after I was done playing on my phone, and tried connecting it back to the ps4 it won’t work. bro go to settings , devices, bluetooth devices then click on the dual shock and hit settings and put “forget device” then turn off ps4, turn back on, go on bluetooth devices and hold down share and home button on the remote until it blinks and it should pop up and connect i had same issue and it fixed now

To anyone who tried all of these options, I went into safe mode (when the ps4 is off held down the power button until it beeps a second time), and my controller was able to connect by cable in this mode. I then selected tue restore default settings options and it didn't delete any saves or games but did the trick

Hi bro! My ps4 controller looks the same as yours. It was working perfectly for me until it started vibrating continuously, after which I reset it and now when I press the ps start button, the controller doesn't turn on and it doesn't even connect to the Ps4, only if I connect it to the cable. And then I reconnect again to Ps via cable but immediately after I remove the cable from the controller, the controller closes and resets itself automatically and I have to reconnect it again. Do you have any advice on how to fix it?

Read: I have tried everything also.. my controller would charge but it would not connect to the PS4. I used to use my phone app and it did worked after going into my account with it then I would just register my controller again and everything would be fine until the next time I turn off my console. However one day not even my app could connect to the PS4 so I was locked out. This is what I did and I hope it works for you guys. It going to sound silly but it worked for me and now it works every time like a brand new controller. I turned on my PS4 while my controller was plugged in into my ps4. I didn’t touch my controller for a good 5 minutes. After those 5 minutes passed I pressed the ps button on my controller and bang!! It started working like new. I’m thinking maybe the PS4 is installing the PS4 automatically but it’s really slow in doin it. THERE is also another way that fixes it. Enter the FafeMode on your PS4 and then press the ps button on your console. Do not throw away your controller.
Right I had a nightmare with mine. Bought two new controllers that wouldn't sink and used the official ps4 usb to charge and nothing. Then I used a random usb I found in the cupboard and boom they turned on!

This happened to me because I kept putting it in rest mode. What u need to do is unplug the ps4 cable to completely turn it off, and don’t worry if it says to not do that when u turn it on, nothing will happen. Once you turn it back on just press the ps button on ur controller and it should work
Guy if your controller doesn't work put a timer gor 15 sec and then when it's done connect it to the charging port after that press the ps button and if it doesn't work just open the ps4 and keep the control charged after that press it and it should work enjoy🎉
For me, the only solution that actually worked was deleting all bluetooth dualshock 4 devices that have been sinced through the bluetooth devices settings in playstation while using a secondary working dualshock 4 controller. I had to go to Bluetooth devices using a secondary working dualshock 4 device. Then, I deleted all the connected dualshock 4 controllers, excluding the one being used. After that I held the malfunctioning dualshock 4 controller's ps plus share button (without a USB connection) until it was in sinc mode. Once in sinc mode, I waited until the dualshock 4 controller shows on the bluetooth devices list. Once it was shown on the bluetooh devices list, I used my functioning dualshock 4 controller to enter that enlisted dualshock, and I pressed the options (select button) connected it from there (wirelessly) and voila it worked. So, the whole issue for me was a system syncing error issue rather than a controller reseting issue. This happened due to the fact that the PS4 controller was connected to a different ps4 system, and after switching back to the previous ps4 console. Reseting the ds4 didn't work. Only removing the sinced controller error and resinking it using a secondary controller worked for me. I hope Sony fixes this sincing error issue, especially for those who don't have a secondary ds4 controller. If this solution didn't work, this means that the battery needs replacement. Best of luck 👍

If it just charges and doesn’t pair, change the charger. If you have an Android charger try that one or even a flip phone charger.
I tried using a diff charger and it still never works

Read: I have tried everything also.. my controller would charge but it would not connect to the PS4. I used to use my phone app and it did worked after going into my account with it then I would just register my controller again and everything would be fine until the next time I turn off my console. However one day not even my app could connect to the PS4 so I was locked out. This is what I did and I hope it works for you guys. It going to sound silly but it worked for me and now it works every time like a brand new controller. I turned on my PS4 while my controller was plugged in into my ps4. I didn’t touch my controller for a good 5 minutes. After those 5 minutes passed I pressed the ps button on my controller and bang!! It started working like new. I’m thinking maybe the PS4 is installing the PS4 automatically but it’s really slow in doin it. THERE is also another way that fixes it. Enter the FafeMode on your PS4 and then press the ps button on your console. Do not throw away your controller.

Right I had a nightmare with mine. Bought two new controllers that wouldn't sink and used the official ps4 usb to charge and nothing. Then I used a random usb I found in the cupboard and boom they turned on!

This happened to me because I kept putting it in rest mode. What u need to do is unplug the ps4 cable to completely turn it off, and don’t worry if it says to not do that when u turn it on, nothing will happen. Once you turn it back on just press the ps button on ur controller and it should work

Guy if your controller doesn't work put a timer gor 15 sec and then when it's done connect it to the charging port after that press the ps button and if it doesn't work just open the ps4 and keep the control charged after that press it and it should work enjoy🎉

For me, the only solution that actually worked was deleting all bluetooth dualshock 4 devices that have been sinced through the bluetooth devices settings in playstation while using a secondary working dualshock 4 controller. I had to go to Bluetooth devices using a secondary working dualshock 4 device. Then, I deleted all the connected dualshock 4 controllers, excluding the one being used. After that I held the malfunctioning dualshock 4 controller's ps plus share button (without a USB connection) until it was in sinc mode. Once in sinc mode, I waited until the dualshock 4 controller shows on the bluetooth devices list. Once it was shown on the bluetooh devices list, I used my functioning dualshock 4 controller to enter that enlisted dualshock, and I pressed the options (select button) connected it from there (wirelessly) and voila it worked. So, the whole issue for me was a system syncing error issue rather than a controller reseting issue. This happened due to the fact that the PS4 controller was connected to a different ps4 system, and after switching back to the previous ps4 console. Reseting the ds4 didn't work. Only removing the sinced controller error and resinking it using a secondary controller worked for me. I hope Sony fixes this sincing error issue, especially for those who don't have a secondary ds4 controller.
If this solution didn't work, this means that the battery needs replacement.
