- It’s been a while since I’ve worked a service in a busy kitchen. Last weekend, I went back to my old stomping ground at ST. ALi in Melbourne, Australia to see how long I could last back on the pass. Thanks to the everyone at ST. ALi for letting me get in the way during a hectic weekend breakfast shift. Cheers to the baristas who kept me caffeinated.
Love longer format videos! The longer the better of showing restaurant cooking. To many channels do home food. Not enough channels doing restaurant style food!! Love your channel!
As a chef myself, it’s great to see a true representation of a real kitchen environment during service. Big props
Love this. Reminds me of when Anthony Bourdain spent a day at his old haunts. Awesome to see chef really get down with those skills.
As a former chef, I kind of miss the rush of service, 26 years in the industry was good enough for me. Now I enjoy cooking for the most ruthless critics, my two young daughters 😅 covid lockdowns was the short-circuit I needed to get off that merry-go-round. I realised i missed out on alot of my family time especially when my girls were young. I'm now able to explore baking sourdough, making puff pastry, pies 🥧 And just plain experimenting. Good luck on your journey, Chef Andy 👨🍳
love the longer videos and also love seeing pro cooks at the pass. such an insanely hard profession, as a humble home cook i'd probably be wheezing or dead by the end of a service. amazing work chef!
I have to say, even though im out of the kitchen these days, i still miss that rush of service, i mean, i dont miss it so much to ever go back, but its nice to watch a video or three of chefs doing their thing, its truely unique to work at speed but with intention and perfection.
I really enjoy watching your videos. I'm learning about preparing foods from other areas of the world. Thanks 💜💜💜
The noise of the ticket machine still gives me serious anxiety attacks. haha.
I really like your videos because I can really see the tremendous amount of work you have done all these years and what really means being a cook. No holidays, extreme hard work, pressure all the time. I'm sincerely in awe. So much for those wannabe youtube chefs cooking from mother's basement. They wouldn't last an hour in a professional kitchen. Much Love from Italy
Been to St. Ali many times over the years and know how much volume it does. This was ambitious to say the least - good stuff! Loving the Melbourne content
Love your videos. Your passion shows through!
Thank you for showing off the amazing culinary delights in Melbourne. I think it’s the food capital of Australia. Great video!
I loved this video. This type of content Is amazing. I found you on tiktok but I love the longer form videos. Especially traveling around etc. As someone who just started as a chef I love your style and calmness
The way you made those eggs actually blew my mind!! Well done, chef!
Your content is top tier please don’t stop Andy. Fantastic video love how you appreciate the hard work that no one else understands is hard work. Awesome stuff man
Love the change of pace and everything with this video and your channel in general. Stoked for you
As a former chef myself, props to you. But the sound of the ticket machine still sends a shiver down my spine. 🤣
Love the videos Andy. Really gets the desire back.
I’m so glad I’ve subscribed. This content is amazing!
And this is why you should appreciate your chefs ❤
