Turning shrubs into a hedge on new contract job

- This is a new maintenance contract.. An initial tidy up has been done ( link to video below)
Then this hedge is being created....and I have scarified the lawn now and I'll add that link below also when it's uploaded. Obviously this isn't going to be a hedge straight away....but I like to show the beginning of a job and then show the same job later and enjoy the difference. There’s something incredibly relaxing bout cutting a hedge by hand. No screaming engine no ear muffs and no visor makes the job so much nicer.
Yes mate totally agree...I enjoyed doing this. As you know it's all about time and money so I won't make a habit of it 😅

These are lovely gardens - and soon will be lovelier! Perhaps you could do a video (in the van?) of a trip round Port Sunlight or add a little peek on to another gardening vid. Interesting for those who don’t know the area? We’ll all want to move up there probably! 🏡

I'm with you on the 'Old School Approach' Lee, it saves a lot of raking up to bin the branches immediately. Plus the snips of secs and loppers is more pleasing on the ear than a motor of any kind. Great job boss!

Nothing wrong with "old school" pruning! I do it as much as I can. I find it therapeutic doing it that way 😁

looks good,, any advice on how to get rid off ants in the lawn ?
Cheers 😊ive got ants everywhere...worst I've seen. Been using powder and it seems to be doing the trick
A hedge cutter would have made more mess, and then it takes just as long to tidy it up as it took to cut it by hand. And by hand you had more control.
👍👍..also some were a bit thick so I would have had to swop anyway....I enjoyed this little prune....should look good soon 👌
