    I love that you care enough to add the mulch back in the hedge, it's a treat for them. You are a wonderful gardener and I have never thought what you do s stupid, you're brilliant in my eyes. Now that waste at the back is such a shame, any way you could get the job of doing your magic to it. What a huge mess they have made. LOL probably not your idea of fun but it might teach their gardener how he should be doing it.

    Fully agree with the mulching of clippings, since seeing it in your videos i have started doing it and it helps hugely on time and effort. Previously was hauling bulk bags away and burning waste or taking it to the tip but its time consuming and ineffective. At the moment i mulch it into the box as my leaf blower is pathetic and wont blow the mulch out of the grass. So an upgrade to the blower is most certainly the next thing on my equipment list!

    I think you should of used a tarp, then picked up all the branches and twigs with some tweezers, put the clippings into sandwich bags and blown any bits away with a hairdryer. That pile of leaves and branches will be there in decades. The Oregon blade is on my to buy list. I just don't know when I'm going to use it!

  • @maryblaylock6545

    At first I didn't think the hedge needed much of a trim but when you walked through the arch it was obvious.
    In our local paper in an article by Bonnie Bloddghet she regretted telling us to use a tarp to put trimmings and leaves on and using your mulching mower on it. She had heard of this method and hadn't tried it before she put it in her column. Boy did she regret that! She tried it herself after having published that column and ruined a tarp, frayed her nerves, made a mess of the mower ,made a mess of her lawn, and the mulch that she had planned on using on her trees and gardens had to be bundled up for the trash because of all the minut pieces of plastic in it. It was rather a depressing experience.

    Thats not a compost heap, thats a dump! Wish folk would turn their heaps once in a while and re use the organic material. I hate seeing piles of mushy stinking grass not decomposing in the corner of a garden, rather than be so lazy, properly mulch it and at least leave the nutrient on the lawn where they can be re- used. Why is it most of my hedges have a rockery next to them?

    • @LHLgardenservices
      @LHLgardenservices  4 роки тому

      Yep I agree....its just a dump...so frustrating it could be a great source of compost AND look good at the same time 👍
