Biggest two reasons I un-installed are the cheaters and the horrible netcode.
I'm really not down with spending my time being shot around corners by people who only ever land headshots.
The only problems I have with the game is the fact I’m still getting killed when I’m 5 steps around a corner and the fact that you can have a full team of the same faction😂literally went against a team full of dedsec in ctf last night and ALL OF THEM WERE USING SPIDERBOTS and 2 games later I go against a 5 stack of echelons running intel suit. Stupid ass constant wall hacks
They need to limit each faction to 2 per side.
I think snipers prove the netcode issues, no way so many ppl can shoot through flinch and just 1shot you before you hit your 5th shot on them to take them out...

I stopped playing XDefiant for awhile because it gave me new age COD PTSD lol. I’ll probably go back and play when some of the issues are fixed.

Of course the game gonna be slow these 2-3 months. however I don't see it as dead in my area. always matching with so many different players. if I see any of the same 11 players 2 matches in a row that is rare.

If you look at Steam trends it’s been on the decline every week it’s been out and you can imagine it’s the same for PS and Xbox. All the casuals left this game and it’s only played by people like you the die hards. I quit this week to play College Football 25 and won’t be back as not much has improved since launch. It’s a good game but once BO6 drops it will be the nail in the coffin for this game. Circle back in early November this year to prove me wrong haha.
The Matrix Neo bunny hopping flying in all directions and the one shot Rambo kill with sniper rifles while bunny hopping as well is killing this game and its going down quickly like the Titanic..
Pretty soon only bunnies are left and at this rate not much game is left for season 2..

I got so bored fast. I know many ppl say there is no sbmm and there is variation in rounds but for me every round was the same. It’s complete sweat fest every round and it got bored fast. For me there is no difference between this and cod regarding matchmaking.

My biggest issue is the net code or hit registration or whatever. 19 Ms ping on my end, but I STAY getting clapped a good 3 steps around the corner.
And yes, that air strafe stuff is so annoying and nonsensical.
I can do all the b hop and movement stuff but I don't want to. I just want a boots on ground experience
The nerds that mid-air change direction beam you without missing a shot are definitely in this game. They are cheating, for sure. With bad net code already, the bunny-hopping nerds disrupt the hit registration even more. Give me a lobby with no jumping allowed.

I played XDefiant when it came out. It was underwhelming and had a bunch of issues too. So, that's where XDefiant ends for me. CoD is also broken right now, or al.ost always. I have not played it in weeks, either.
I'm playing Destiny 2 right now and I'm having a blast. Gaming could still be fun, if you just move on from bad ones.
When they did that bunny hop nerf and it did nothing i dropped the game, Its so unfun to play against it. These losers will play like this only in pubs cause they are too scared of ranked.
Thank you so much my friend. You have pretty much described my experience in a nut shell. Older gammer here, all the way back to 007 Golden Eye. XDefiant is my first FPS that I can even stand. Not going into my COD experience but. I like X. Bunny hopping should be outlawed, and anyone who thinks otherwise is not into reality. Can you imagine if a group of real soldiers were hopping around corners like they do. 😂☠️. I wish my hit reg would count the entire arc as they hop in but alas it dose not. So I get killed for not playing like a Mario bro.
I finally tried it out a few days ago. First 3 hours were great, stomping and whatnot, 30-40 kills per match. Then two more hours of it, the game algorithm changed completely. Barely going positive anymore and it just reminded me of COD sweats. I really did try to give it a chance but I was getting stomped hard that I just got turned off by it man. 😅
Here in Australia , Matchmaking taking forever for me atleast , Playing "The finals" these days and its so fun , highly recommended dude
Game devs these days will see this and think, "this is why we need SBMM" instead of actually balance the game well. Sad days. I find myself playing more and more single player games the older I get.

Combat arms was better than this sure hackers here and there but you have insane sniper sway and took skill too use unlike this game
bunny hop needs another nerf because no fight goes 4 jumps. need add small sway at 2 and than more of sway at 3 hops.

Yes we need a kill feed and a theatre mode. There’s times I think I experienced cheating but I can’t be certain and kill cams and theatre mode could confirm it also it could be used to help police the cheaters. Hey I have this clip from my last match look into it XDefiant if we could somehow report what we saw on kill feed
They're still cronos cheaters I noticed there might be other cheats that revolve around AI in a separate computer but they're not as common on console Cross play off
You can't have a one shot weapon in a game with this high time to kill!!
What they should do, is :
1 buff ads for sniper
2 buff movment with sniper
3 buff reload with sniper
4 Nerf damage so body shot do max 75 damage with the 50 cal
head shot and neck should be one shot
There you are, you now need skill! And you get rewarded for skill!
I'm still playing XDefiant on the daily, but the bunny hopping is still out of control. They need to nerf it again to where you start seeing a penalty after the second jump and it gets progressively worse the more you spam it.

Easiest way to nerf Bunny hopping is to make it so you can't jump and ads at the same time. You can still hip fire but no ads.
@@skeletor2994 that would be too jarring IMO. Going in and out of ADS as you jump would be breaking the spirit of moving. I think if you feel the sway effects sooner it'll have the same effect.

@@skeletor2994 everyone's got their play preferences so there's no right or wrong there. I'm trying to embrace this game for what it is... A day paced arcade shooter with fast movements. I just think it's still a little too over the top on the airborne side.

You are 100% correct the bunny hopping air strafing and quick scoping NERDZZZZ are eventually going to kill this game. They should elinate air strafing and put a half a second cooldown on the jump button.

I still play, but I don't play seriously anymore. My FPS doesn't go above 60 and it crashes all the time.
I have to play at a horrible setting with 2\3 of the window. I don't know what happened to my game after the last patch.
Idk if it was just me but during their introduction playlist I was actually having fun and it said sbmm was activated but anyways after I hit 25 holy hell what a sweat pit! There has to be some kind of sbmm eomm but their not gonna admit it. Anyways thankfully it's free to play only positive in my opinion
The bunny hopping sniper is insane. Last night I went against one that had the Tac 50 he would do the side jump crap. You’re right this doesn’t feel like boots on the ground and I think you’re also right that they’re using elite style controllers like Scuff to give themselves advantage over people using factory controllers like myself. It does feel like there’s advanced movement that shouldn’t be in the game.

I’ve been getting hate for keeping it 100 about this game since day 1 homie. Despite what anybody thinks about the game, seeing this game do well is good for all of us though. Just look at what we’ve been going through with cod for years 😂
Getting killed around corners also whenever I’m playing ranked sometimes the teams won’t even be balanced also they still need to do something about the spider bot I get you can shoot down but it feels like it’s still not enough also they need to fix the sniping that shit is still kinda OP hopefully they patch and resolve a lot of these problems
Btw today makes the game two months old, and it’s been on decline for 6 weeks. Let that thought settle in your mind.
It’s just that boring lol… There is nothing in the game that incentivizes you to play everyday. Lackluster battlepass rewards, lack of camos you can earn, etc. It’s basically a grind to level up weapons. That’s it.. I stopped playing close to a month ago.
Plus, me personally, the Gunplay/gameplay itself doesn’t grab and HOLD my attention much if at all. Like others have said, it feels like some clone or copy of every other FTP FPS I’ve played in past years.

I only played the game for a month after launch and haven't went back. It felt like CoD lite. I went in for a fresh experience, but it was more of the same with the bunny hopping, the sniping and getting killed around corners despite a wired connection. Now I'm hearing cheaters are ruining the game? Gaming is becoming more of a chore than a enjoyable hobby.
Have you tried playing Hell let Loose? It’s the only multiplayer game I genuinely enjoy now. Such a fun game. I will say tho the gameplay is completely different compared to cod and xdefiant. But there’s no bs movement in the game.
That's me with Insurgency Sandstorm, I put both CoD and XDefiant down and started playing that and haven't looked back. Started having fun again lol.

@@ogGILMOURRR it actually is on game pass. I prefer playing with a ps5 controller. It’s on sale rn on ps5 but it also is available on game pass. Definitely worth a try. It’s a nice change of pace. I know you said you don’t like campy gameplay but trusttt me this game has won me over. I use to only play cod when it came out pvp games. Eventually I got really into the last of us multiplayer but I played it so much I got burnt out lol. But hell let loose definitely fills that void of multiplayer fps game that I have. Only times I’ll play cod nowadays is when my friends are on and we’ll play search and destroy. Other than that I don’t touch cod. Hell let loose I’ll hop on whenever without a squad
I blame the 3 years of the advance moment cods for bunny hopping. Can't believe I'm about to say this, but i miss drop shots.
The Rebirth cronus users go from bunny hopping to drop shot to auto strafe in almost every gunfight. Couple that with a team of 4 all doing it and the game is unbearable. And those are the closet cheaters.
@Glock_Lesn4r true. There are 2 types of cheaters. There are obvious cheaters with aim bot that locks on people heads across the map that just made the account. Normally, these people just suck at the game or dont care. Then there are the ones that are good at the game but still cheat but are good at hiding it.
As a person who was ran off the game, I knew these problems from the start but the fanboys would just call you a cod fanboy for calling it out 💀

same here...i just un-installed the game after season 1 drop. The sniper is broken, and the shotgun is garbage, in addition they nerf the bunny jump, many players are jumping crouching jumping crouching to avoid the penalty. So unfun playing games where everyone almost playing sniper, running around and one hit you while spamming crouch jumping.
This isn’t geeks it’s hackers! They all say you suck.. they are great… it to justify them using hacks.. and wanting to sell them. Game devs just need to install ban them for 6 months.. a few … no a lot of hacker can and will kill the game.

im getting a d1 vibe from this game , release an update and take the game off line to release it and bring it back with 8 broken things and either do several updates which break more things or they take the game off line again to fix it.
and with the poor hit detection etc i wouldnt be surprised if they are doing the same as d1 and using a hybrid system , this means one person hosts the game and everyone connects to them via a server rather than everyone connecting to a server that is hosting the game , this could also explain the random gun fights and ping and other issues that we see in the game and could also explain why its been hard for them to improve the game.

Snipers have like a full second of re-rack time, really long ADS time, really low mobility speed, low ammo count, long reload speed, impossible no scope spread, hard to use close range because of scope FOV and bad ADS movement speed.
How many more disadvantages would you add to "balance" snipers?

What's the point of snipers if they keep nerfing them until they become unusable? That's the only way they will be happy. I use them but I mostly use auto weapons and when ppl snipe and it becomes annoying, I'll switch to my sniper and return the favor😂 but it's still no Cod killer, not even close. I still get that itch for Cod but I refuse to play it.

here something that will piss off the snipers. Sniping in xdefiant takes no skill what so ever. Lot of games to get one shot kill u need to hit headshot but not here u do it with bodyshot and second these sniping bots hide behind phantoms 120 hp and the shield.
Played afew games of this it's okay one shot weapons are annoying and team balancing is punishing.. some people ive faced have some WILD movement and they clearly trying waaaay too hard on a F2p game😂😂..if they add a free for all here I'll be very happy

This game looks / has that same odd artstyle as SSSOOO many others like Apex (rather have had Titanfall lol)… so there’s no way it can’t run on switch (even MK1 and SF5(?) have a different odd art style… yet MK1 released on switch and next gen and nothing else whereas Street Fighter released on everything).
Plus since I’ll never get a splinter cell game anytime soon. And the fact that Ghost Recon stunk, on top of the fact I don’t like ANYTHING about R6 siege, (rather have had Patriots, Siege’s predecessor. Vegas was awesome as well as og games. Then again all Tom Clancy games until PS4 were awesome. Including HAWX. ESP with the crossovers with other franchises. Another reason I loved End War)… I won’t get my fix until I get a next gen console…
lol I’m still play End War and HAWX / HAWX 2 on PS3 bc they killed End War Online (and every other TC Online game, like Ghost Recon Online, Phantoms). And HAWX… whelp HAWX AND Splinter Cell haven’t had a game in like a decade.

only thing i thought about that was bad with the game was that the attachments all being the same on every gun means no guns are going to be better than another gun basically, only thing that matters is base stats. only guns that obviously changed the most are like vector, m249, maybe ak. but like you couldnt really make bad guns good, they were still gun be worse than a good gun with the same attachments. also i already maxed out every gun and once there was nothing to grind, i got bored and dipped.

I enjoy this game and the variety of competition, but I am getting bored. There is not enough to grind, ranked mode is broken, certain significant bugs still exist, the jump spam exploit is still a serious issue, and there is no search and destroy mode yet. I am starting to get the urge to go back and play siege, even though it is in its worst season ever

Originally this commentary was around 16 mins but I chopped a few parts out. I talked about how other than one new map and a few guns, everything in the game is everything we got to play in those closed tests over a year ago. Definitely starving for content over here free to play or not
I think the snipers are honestly balanced, the maps however definitely promote the use of them being wide and open. I always use snipers in fps games but sending death threats is crazy bro.
Just make it so you cant jump spam...you shouldn't be able to hop more than like twice... MW2019 nunny hopping was good but even that was limited. You were a sitting duck after those first 2 hops.

@@ogGILMOURRR if a sniper misses there shot thats a gg, if a normal reg gun shoots first the flinch will cause them to miss a snipe (most of the time)

Y’all always make snipers sound way worse than the actually are for 2 reasons.
1. You don’t wanna see them nerfed, preferably buffed actually. The more easy mode the better.

Its modern cod with no sbmm, less content, much less customisation and no real identity. Thats it. Game adds nothing new to the genre at all.
I hate its comparsion to the golden age cod games, its nothing like them. If it came out in that it would have zero players.

Totally well said sir, snipers should get flitch when being shot but they don't, the bunny hopping direction movers are not able to do that on PC or console unless your using a third party hardware/software.
Netcode is still out by a lot, i'm still pumping 4 times more shots than they are killing me with.

if you look at other channels the comments are full of ppl that have left the game due to these reasons and they say they "may" come back in a few months but cod will be out by then so they wont go back to xd and if they do think about it they will probs do a search on the net to see if its better.
the net code has been an issue for over a year now and rubin can tweet what he wants (if you dont like it f off) and when s1 dropped it went backwards ! , atm im using the svd and its random i might get a 1 shot kill or it may take 7 rounds as most of them dont register and as the recoil is that bad you have to use the 10 round mag so after a kill you have to reload and you die mid load.

Well Xdefiant is easily better than COD after 2018 on my RageQuit barometer. I will take the problems with it, knowing most will be sorted. As for graphics I dont care.
Probably should say entire Controller lobby. Sniper is not an issue on PC/mnk lobby. Please try the sniper on PC/mnk lobby.

Honestly what I'm trying to say is the play style is very different between PC and console, I do agree with you that the sniper is OP on console lobby, because looking at the gameplay, most players have boots on the group, they don't hop out of the corner and constant air strafe like PC lobby. If the dev nerf sniper on console, the nerf will apply to PC too. I haven't touch the sniper in awhile after the flinch fix. I constant getting shot and flinch by people jumping out behind cover and prefiring. The netcodes are great for sniper too.
Yeah this game is old, it's new but it's old.
The toxicity of the CoD player-base, the racial slurs, the bigotry, all that hatred caused the franchise to lose players, lose money. I left in 2012, it was pretty bad then, but whatever, I had a mute button, still after a while it became too much. Why are my friends and I playing this game? So we and MANY players stopped. Fast forward to 2019 under quarantine, Activision could go into to hyper EOMM mode to appease more and more players. Oh, but the players are really rude and nasty, and take the game too seriously...hmmmm
EOMM, disbanding lobbies and chat screening was born! Players returned in droves! Shut up in the game or else, also you won't keep facing players that will cause rage quitting, and you won't get STOMPED. Who is to blame? The CoD Community is squarely to blame, we didn't promote anything positive, we were mean and now this is what we are left with. A game we all hate!
This is going to happen to XDefiant, it's already in full-swing, shareholders/Ubisoft want to get paid, otherwise the game will be shut down. Death threats???? for a game!!!!???? WHAT!?? This crap needs to stop! We are humans, we are supposed to care about each other!

I love the movement in this game i play on pc air strafing slide jumping. Ppl bunny hop in halo in cod get used to it, sniping wise if they nerf snipes again they'll actually be unusable

snipers are slower then any other gun in the game. if you miss a shot your dead with a sniper. just say your shit
The problem is the game has a long ttk. It's easier for a sniper to land a 1shot that can go in and out of cover vs someone that has to land multiple shots.
If you miss your shots with any weapon you lose doofus. Stop pretending that missing shots is some sniper exclusive downside that no other weapon class has to deal with.
@@skeletor2994 well considering it has less aim assist then every other r gun in the game makes it considerably harder to line up a shot and the ads of the snipers ARE NOT FASTER THEN THE TTK if you fast reaction time you will never be slammed by a sniper up close and even if you dont have a fast reaction time the strafing while running on xdefiant is pretty good you have every speed and movement advantage over a sniper in xdefiant if you are getting shit on up close by snipers you just aren't good, at range i can see why you can would think they are overpowered because they feel like hit scan but thats besides the point i have only ran into one sniper that is really good up close and he was still pretty easy to take down people like you just hate seeing snipers being in meta the snipers are good no where close to being over powered stop the bullshit sniping up close will almost always take more skill then REG gunning
@kianshields yeah no the snipers in the game take way less skill in xdefiant vs. other guns. I should know because before I got bored of the game, that's what I used. It also doesn't help that the single fire guns fell so much better than any of the autos in the game.

ive not played this game. but i think a massive reload time. with like 2 rounds mags. maybe 3. would nerf it still great but ur reloading most of the time. jump shotting is so effective because it messes with the hit detection.
