I think we gotta face it games may never be as good as they were 10 years ago. If we do end up being good its gonna be 10 years from now. The hero gadget gameplay I'm over it they need to keep that on valorant. At least battlefield pushed the player count to 64v64 and I assume that will be the staple large scale that they will stick with so I'm excited for the next game. Everyone was hype for this game but it looks shit IMO and maybe competitive games could be cool to watch but I don't see this game sticking. People growing up that wanted to be game designers are now designing our games for a quick cash grab. I don't see any passion anymore
I felt like that last night, seemed exactly like the last time I played, and I can't put my finger on it but the aiming feels oddly jerky and not smooth. I was excited because they talk about all these changes they've made and then you play it and it feels exactly the same.
The art direction for this game is so poor as well. Every other room is just a mish mash of styles with no coherent or overarching theme for the maps themselves. Just makes the game look ugly and doesn't help with visibility either. Even something like Shatterline (or as you said Gundam Evolution) fares much better in that regard.
The maps are solid with good cover and ranked is 4v4. You were given everything as well in the play test. The game is solid and fun to play it might not be a main game for a lot of people but will be a game people come back to to play often
Ultimately everyone is tired of the cod,bf,halo, etc and just want something that can be the next big thing. This game more then likely just won’t be out
I got bored playing xdefiant, like you say its pretty much a more unbalanced cod with abilities with a less smooth gameplay and other issues. But saying that even cod died a long time ago for me. Still waiting on a decent shooter to arrive on console. Granted some attempts have been made with some games but then die because devs change overall gameplay after release to cater to cod players. Hope Valorant on console does well seeing as the console version is being tested a lot for release.
Bf2042 for me has been a 9/10 since early-mid 2022. Its easily the most slept on pvp fps on the entire market. It was ass cheeks at launch I had it day 1....biggest comeback ive ever seen pulled off by a game that was already beaten down and had an almost non existent playerbase at one point. Im actually really sick and tired of the hate for that game
Yes there was desync issues . They have implemented new netcode build from scratch that's why this server test session for to test it on large scale it was obvious it will have issues like this . At least ppl who understand what it mean having system build from scratch stresstested first time on large scale
I mean Xdefiant is from Ubisoft... that company hasn't known how to do ANYTHING even coming within lightyears of original for well over a decade. It's almost an entire prerequisite to be a Ubisoft game that you do absolutely nothing that at least 10 other things haven't done before.
I main THE FINALS still. The game is far more unique than XDefiant on top of having solid developers that are consistently addressing issues with the game. But compare that to XDefiant where they had nearly a YEAR to fix desync and still haven't done so. Ubisoft's lack of passion is obvious. XDefiant's playerbase will crumble exceedingly faster than THE FINALS, even though it's by an AAA developer who gain more publicity than an indie developer like Embark of THE FINALS.
@Mai-hk9he the sprinting forward is not fast at all. Yes the movement is fast as I played with high sensitivity but when your are goin from a walk to a sprint there isn't much difference I think they should fix that
Played it for 4 or 5 hours last night and dealt with the exact same issues you brought up. It just feels so wonky. It's not fluid enough and correct me if I'm wrong, but it sure feels like they increased TTK on some weapons. M4 being one of them. IDK. Then, you go watch people playing it on PS5 and it looks like the game is running amazingly and their characters are moving at Apex speed or faster. I'm sick and tired of investing time and money into PC gaming, upgrading parts, building new PC's etc., to turn around and watch a god damn console be more optimized. It's a slap in the face to the gamers that are on the very platform that they use to create these freaking games. It's getting old AF.
See I have the same view for different reasons... Objectives - It's just... overwatch... like almost all of it's modes are watered down versions of Overwatch missions. But atleast Overwatch knows that you can't force 2 escort missions back to back on a casual playlist... they save that for competitive so that non-ranked games don't become tedious slog fests. Heroes - It's one of the most lack luster rosters for the 'hero shooter' genre... and I don't even meen in choices. I like the factions thematically and on paper the concepts are cool... however... HOWEVER in practice they're pretty bland and there are some that are just out of the box unbalanced and they've known about it for the last couple play tests and did NOTHING... yet some how they are the most responsive dev team in the FPS genre according to some... Mechanics - It's just a CoD clone outside of the objectives and factions. I understand not every title needs to innovate... but... the genre has been stagnant for about 10 years now which is why it gets so much backlash. Being CoD isn't good anymore... you need to be better... or atleast different. SBMM - Now I do not like the SBMM that has existed post Cold War (I never played cause I stopped playing CoD after BO3 but I keep up with gaming news). The current CoD SBMM is a PROBLEM. But removing it is also a problem. SBMM on it's own isn't bad... despite what some people want you to think. Having a STRICT sbmm is the problem... BO2 and MW2 struck a nice balance and even the Welcome Playlist in xDef struck a nice balance... but once I got off that SBMM playlist I stopped having fun... not because I started getting stomped... I would go negative but because CoD kiddos don't understand objectives I would get 1000+ ob score and win most of my matches I had something like a 4.0 win rate with a 2.0 k/d when I uninstalled this game... no the lack of SBMM drains me... I have to constantly compete with super sweats and I have to try my a** off in a game that until this point was fun and casual... once the Welcome Playlist went away... it got boring. Every match was full of echelon. Every match was 4-5 chuckle f@@ks running around not doing the objective and farming kills. SBMM in this game made it fun for actual casual players... the removal of it turned it into a boring slog. Since uninstalling the game I have returned to Valorant and had SO MUCH more fun with a unique objective based gamemode (Though having only 1 mode is... tedious...), I enjoy the actual diversity in kits despite only having 5 or 6 different types of abilities (Smokes, blinds, heals, traversal, turrets). MY ONLY complaint about Valorant is a little looser of an SBMM... too many of my games do I stomp and then all the sudden get inept children on my team vs an Immortal derank and it's just a garunteed loss because the SBMM forced it upon me. Even the game I enjoy more is not without issues but Valorant and even Overwatch are better examples of the game that xDefiant is trying to be.
This game is actually fun. I dropped a video on UA-cam and it felt fresh playing it. Attachments on guns are nice, most game modes are fun and mechanics are pretty fluid for a beta. Take time to appreciate games and look at the potential. You don’t know if they will implement different changes or not when it drops. That might be why they took a year to postpone it. The finals in my opinion was such a bad game and died out so fast. I truly feel like people will play this game. We’ll see though.
This game is meant to be played as a casual game. The unbalanced things make it fun, why do you think a lot more people complain about the newer games?
So, we are condemned to be slaves to Call of Duty forever!? Everything that comes along, Free to Play or Premium, dies eventually if not DOA, but Call of Duty remains popular and king regardless of how bad it has become. I refuse to pay 70$ a year to Activision for the same crap plus seasons. There has to be a future COD killer somewhere.
I just realized this guy creates bf2042 content. Absolutely, no point in listening to your opinion bro. 2042 is the biggest let down ever out of every game in the franchise and you grind it. Crawl back to your little damp crevice you call your set up.
Cuz 2042 is goated. You know I bet my bank that you have never even fuckin played 2042 yet know how good or bad it is. Am I somewhere in the ball park?
Hit detection goes a little rogue sometimes and spawns are a little janky. Overall its a fun game to play, the abilities and ultras feel good except phantom ultra. Its an original arcade shooter with great gunplay and movement. I feel like 85% of the people that say this game is just bad are crying because they're too used to COD and expect this game to kill COD. Ive had the more fun on this game in a weekend than the last 3 years of COD.
XDefiant is a copy of The finals. XDefiant should’ve just reversed back to the roots of what made cod not this Arcady like game that EVERY game is becoming today.
I just don’t why games like these get hype up then as time goes on. The games don’t get attention anymore. It’s like a waste of money and time to make multiplayer online games that won’t skyrocket from other well known games
Shot a guy 2 times "at least" from 10 meters with sniper without hitmarker😂 Multiple times… And other times killing people that i shouldn’t be killing at all😂
If you expected anything other than mediocre trash from Ubisoft, you must have been living under a rock. Thank god for solo titles and pve co-op games.
You're obviously missing the point of the game. It's SUPPOSED to be a throw back to arcade style shooters. It's for the fans of that style. Don't like it? Go play the trash sh!tshow CoD has become fkin' whiner.
Just visualize it with me for a second: buying skins in this game. Like it’s just so painfully generic I couldn’t imagine someone even thinking most of it would look cool. This won’t be sustainable unfortunately
They've made so many changes that it doesn't feel balanced at all. The hit reg is awful. The one-shot sniper meta is already old. The damage drop-off over distance for some weapon classes is a bit ridiculous, IMO. And character abilities just ruin games for me bc it's cheap, plain and simple. That invisible shit is annoying when entire teams run it. The game won't succeed. Calling it now.
It feels like this game has no identity of it's own, it's just a mishmash of every Ubisoft franchise, they have borrowed characters and environments from other Ubisoft games but made it look more goofy than the games they're based on. Why are the rebels from Far Cry 6 fighting spies from Splinter Cell? The art style and setting just ends up looking like a confused ugly mess in my opinion. They should have put this game in it's own universe with it's own unique world and characters. Also hero FPS games with abilities are just awful in my opinion.
I played the first test. It felt Mid. People will play it because it's not COD and they desperately want someone to push Activision. But this game isn't it. Mid is putting it nicely. It is a generic hero shooter that does nothing exceptionally well.
The takes in this vid are so weird. For one idk why you're so emotional. Nobody is holding you hostage making you like this. For another your points don't make sense. Positive and negative attachment implications stolen from CoD? Because they're the first game to have mechanics with tradeoffs? XDefiant isn't even supposed to be innovative in that sense. It's meant to be a return to form. The core mechanics are solid and as long as the net code, which I'll admit needs work, gets ironed out then it'll be great for people are sick of the sweaty meta lobbies in CoD
I don’t agree with most of the things you said. Xd needs work yes but correct me if I’m wrong, their first time they have a decent foundation. The game needs to drop and just be constantly improved, at this point. I enjoyed playing but it does need work. Games no longer come out complete it’s a shame but they have a decent foundation on which to build on. I think it’s it’s own unique thing as well.
That’s exactly what I was thinking yesterday. I was like: „why am I even playing this“. It’s truly such a lame game

@@EndersFPS further more, just searched YT and the most recent video on The Finals has 17k views (which is more than most of your average views per vid), from a creator that I never even heard of. Lol.
18k for a game is nothing haha
@@Combat_Wombat_2033seems to have hit a nerve 😅
Looks like all those korean mmofps CoD clones.
I think it's safe to say that the industry is creatively bankrupt at this point, at least in the AAA departament.
Let’s face it, generic sells… and it’s free
shatterline was shit, worse netcode than any fps ever.
Clearly you haven't played BF3 or BF4 LOL
shatterline was dope
Exactly. I'd be reloading after taking a little bit of damage (or so I thought) when peaking a corner on BF3 and 4, then randomly die 10 feet away from the corner in full cover. It was always the guy I "took a little bit of damage" from. Lol
shatterline i remember that game
Felt exactly the same weird crap yesterday while playing ( on PC, mouse + kbd ), hit register, dying around the corners or even behind the covers, if you stand still and shoot, you are dead, if you move and shoot, recoil pattern feels randomized every damn time. While other people are literally laser tagging me. 15 minutes after the launch, one or two players from the enemy team are already having between 40 and 50 kills, like come on, that's not legit. Flamethrower gun is a total nonsense, as well as firing bullets and drones... Game almost identical to the one 6 months ago, and there's way too much things to fix at first, and than balance the game and remove stuff that do not belong to an FPS.
I agree with your recent tweet, Shatterline was better and I, too, am so done with hero shooters. This new generation of hyper-monetized yet low quality releases has to be the worst that has ever happened to gaming.
Being forced to play counters is annoying. If someone runs x and then you must run y or lose hard, this just sucks. It's not good balance to force people into specific skills, gadgets, heroes, whatever.
i'm in the position that i havent had a good fps game in a lone time (COD, apex, battlefield, overwatch ect) I think Xdefiant feels different, Arcady and fun. Even when i lost games i still had a good time. I think i'm lucky i didn't have any issues in any of my games. But yeah i genuinely enjoyed myself. I will say this playtest is my first time playing it.
2024… when people start complaining when games copy the good bits from other games 😂 C’mon man, seriously?
y the only good complain is that the servers are trash and the desync the rest are just dumb af but i guess he needs some content
Good bits?
The desync is horrible. The abilities all have the same cooldowns which is stupid as all hell. The attachments across the platforms is damn near just copy and pasted. The audio is shit. The weapons all have hitscan, which does not belong in a game based around its gunplay.
Where in the actual fuck are the good bits at outside of no sbmm? Where is it? This game has no identity and doesnt do the "good bits" even remotely well
@@outoforder6600 we want hitscan in this game everything else would be shit and the audio is one of the best i ever had 9/10 shooters have worse mby its a you problem and not the game
if you want a realistic game with not hitscan play something else
@shusakudake I will. And I do. And no, the audio is shit. I play ALOT of shooters and xDs audio is pretty damn close to the bottom. If you want to see actual good audio go play a game like Hunt showdown, PUBG, shit even ironsight has better audio which is also a f2p game made by a company faarrr smaller than ubisoft
Hitscan does not belong in games where gunplay is the main focus. It just doesn't. It takes away a large part of the actual skill gap in gunfights, and makes guns feel lifeless. Just like they do in XD. This game is not that good. It's just not. It's boring and lifeless. It trys to be a cod clone and a hero shooter at the same time and it doesn't do either of those things well.
@@outoforder6600 i played csgo valorant and last game Thefinals all competitve i have 0 problems with audio i can hear everything in this game its 100% a you problem mby change your audio settings
well I think I'll go back squashing some bugs on helldivers2...
You and me both
wats ur story?
The game is just another controller paradise hero shooter that has a cod fliter on it
Exactly😂 The game has no personality, it just has COD movement with BO3 specialists. What even makes this game original? Because it doesn't have SBMM? 😂
basically bo4 lite but idk about controller paradise AA is fairly low in this game
Bro you would literally say something completely different months ago
"A Ubisoft game" xD what did you guys expect. Ubisoft literally one of the most garbage game companies out there
I tried to give the game a chance but there’s too many gadgets involved in every gunfight to be enjoyable.
It was never meant to be original, it was supposed to have a old CoD feel while having modern gameplay.
The bunny skins will be a nice touch once they get the store up and running.
That title… so it’s perfect for Cod players!
This game more then likely just won’t be out
Invisibility just doesn't belong in PvP, one of the main reasons I don't really bother with The Finals is because of invisibility.
im curious for your thoughts on the out of action game only has a demo but i think its a nice fps feel with it, only made by one person too!
Ah, the spider bot that made me Alt+F4 and uninstall the entire Ubisoft launcher :)
Which the best fps game to buy or downloed plz ❤🙏🏻 and why
Couldn't agree more and it feels DOA
Looks like a cod mobile game. Nothing unique about it
I got bored playing xdefiant, like you say its pretty much a more unbalanced cod with abilities with a less smooth gameplay and other issues.
How do you rate BF 2042, if you rate XDefiant 5.5? 🤔
Why does every modern shooter have to feature annoying broken unfun to play against Le Epic abilities
Do you notice how a lot of 'Le Epic abilities'😆are what would of been considered cheats/hacks a good few (10+) years back.
I agree I played 2 rounds and then deleted it off my PC, really badly let down at how slow paced it was in my opinion!
It's not slow paced. Be honest you got slammed.
@r2smoke_ the sprinting in the game is pretty much like the walking. The game is pish! An I don't get slammed, I do the slamming! Just ask ur ma!
@shgdrums the sprinting and movement is super fast
Ngl I still want to play this on release
The sincere opinion is appreciated
I dont like x defiant because i cant prone and it seems like everybody can easily wall bang .
You can't hide in the back of the map or drops hot. You get shit on in 1v1 fights is what heard. You can barely wall bang anything in this game.
@@r2smoke_ cap . Wall banging is atrocious in this game. And dropshotin is basic movement. 😑
If you spam jump you win what a waste of opportunity
Playing this game made me appreciate The Finals again.
I played this playtest for about 15 minutes and its really Meh. I got really fed up of getting 1 shotted by every sniper rifle
They can always fix it in patch notes. It's a ok game but man I can not get hits on target to save my life. It's very clumsy feeling.
XDefiant is a copy of The finals. XDefiant should’ve just reversed back to the roots of what made cod not this Arcady like game that EVERY game is becoming today.
Try to make a simple fps game challenge is impossible in 2024
B-but ender it doesn't have sbmm that automatically makes it a masterpiece next to elder ring, domm etc
I just don’t why games like these get hype up then as time goes on. The games don’t get attention anymore. It’s like a waste of money and time to make multiplayer online games that won’t skyrocket from other well known games
Im having fun!
The lag is bad in this game. To me it just feels like an Ubisoft version of black ops 2
XDefiant will die just like every other new FPS game that recently came out. They missed their mark when CoD and BF were at their lowest. DOA.
Game not even out but already dead damn that must be some kind of achievement
They've made so many changes that it doesn't feel balanced at all. The hit reg is awful. The one-shot sniper meta is already old. The damage drop-off over distance for some weapon classes is a bit ridiculous, IMO. And character abilities just ruin games for me bc it's cheap, plain and simple. That invisible shit is annoying when entire teams run it. The game won't succeed. Calling it now.
2 shots in the chest like the fucking SVK of 2042 -_-
It feels like this game has no identity of it's own, it's just a mishmash of every Ubisoft franchise, they have borrowed characters and environments from other Ubisoft games but made it look more goofy than the games they're based on.
Honestly? If the game copies the good parts of another, and adds something new for it, it's already good for me
I played the first test. It felt Mid. People will play it because it's not COD and they desperately want someone to push Activision. But this game isn't it. Mid is putting it nicely. It is a generic hero shooter that does nothing exceptionally well.
exactly how i felt, mobile port vibes.
Im not sure how it managed to get worse, netcode is so bad for me
The takes in this vid are so weird.
Game is literally F2P when it launches meanwhile MW3 was DLC for $70 lol. I'm dumping COD immediately when this game comes out.
"The COD killer" lol
I don’t agree with most of the things you said. Xd needs work yes but correct me if I’m wrong, their first time they have a decent foundation. The game needs to drop and just be constantly improved, at this point. I enjoyed playing but it does need work. Games no longer come out complete it’s a shame but they have a decent foundation on which to build on. I think it’s it’s own unique thing as well.
