Calf pain is one of the most common presenting symptoms in a busy orthopedic opd. Here in this video, we will take you through the most common causes of calf pain. Calf pain can be caused due to a number of causes ranging from muscular, arterial, venous, and neurological. The top 10 causes of calf pain are described in detail in this video. Leg pain is very common. Calf Pain can also be due to deficiency of calcium and vitamin d3. We should check calcium, vitamin d3, and vitamin B12 levels in all patients with calf pain.

Thank you sir . Please I've been experiencing calf pain since childhood and I'm 29 years now. At times it can be so severe that I can't even walk and I feel feverish anytime the pains get severe . I have been having calf muscle pain since few month Did Dopplers test there is no DVT but I find it very difficult to sleep in the night The pain is very excruciating and it really kills you There is lot of tenderness and bone pain on the calf muscle I have got varicose vein issue also. My pain now starts from behind the knee and it goes till the shin. When I am awake and moving around there is no pain but once you sleep the pain can’t be controlled Cam you help me what I should do. Sir 3 years ago, I got hurt while playing basketball and since then I have pain in my left leg calf area. Thanks. But how does one identify the actual cause out of 10 causes you have suggested. Since a very long time, I have calf pain during walking. If I walk very slow, pain doesn't occur, if I jog, it doesn't occur so it is a deterrent to me for walking everyday and I usually walk around the stadium frequently where I stay at Noida.
I could relate it more to the Cause No. 5 " Arterial Block", not sure, also have back pain but that's not a long term thing. I was a badminton player in school and college days.

Good awareness. But my discomfort/ pain mostly surfaces after going to bed. Achilles tendon is also very tense. Calf muscles give feeling of cramps and are tired. Calcium, manganese and vitamins not working.

In my tests everything comes normal. While my entire body muscles are weak including legs the most. Also my knees, ankles and spaces between hand / foot fingers produce extreme painful popping sound. Also I can't stand still as my legs use to start shivering. Sometimes massage helps but rarely I ever get rid of it. I don't usually masturbate or involve in any sexual activity but if I do every rarely I feel super weak specially in my leg and hip muscles.

My husband suffers from chronic leg pain. This happens when he is resting so mainly at night when he goes to sleep. He has gotten tests done here in Canada but nothing and he still keeps suffering. @@JC-eg3rz sory didnot see your comment. Lie on normal back position while sleeping,place the hot water bag under the calf, switch between both the calves alternatively after few minutes. This has helped me a lot. And another way is I place 2 stacked pillows under my feet.
