Oh Whitney, I am so sorry that you have not been making more tutorials. Your clear "viewing"and vocal instructions are amazing! This has been a lifesaver for me. I will definitely be watching it over and over until I get it down pat. Thank you for taking your time and effort to do this for us.
I'm brand new to knitting machines (I don't have an Addi... I have a Sentro). In fact, I just got my machine today. So far, I've made 2 hats and a scarf, all from "tubes". I've crocheted for 40+ years and I've been using a knitting loom for about a month so I was kind of able to fix dropped stitches and other "weird" stitches, but this video really helped me identify the potential problems BEFORE they happened. Thank you so much!
Again again and again I view your videos. Love, loved, love your tutorials. Thank you for taking your time and effort to help us. Looking forward to seeing more of your videos.
I continue to use this video when I encounter a problem....you've done a great job on the video and saved me countless of headaches with these issues. Thank you sooooo much.
Omg, your a hat saver!! Lol thank you so much I’ve been taking my hats apart for the last 2 days because I keep getting gaps and dropped stitches. I’m so glad I found your channel!😀
I can’t thank you enough for making this video. I have owned my Addi for 4 months now, and finding this posting is a god send. Thank you Thank you Thank you 😊
Your video is the clearest and most helpful that I have come across for fixing problems without too much fuss. I am now confidently handling tucked and dropped stitches without resorting to starting the project again. Thank you.
I just got my Addi about a month ago. I needed help in figuring out how to fix mistakes. Wow! You have helped this girl out! Great job. I know this video is 5 years old but I have had it on my computer screen for about a week now, referring back, as needed. Thank you. Great technique.
OMG!!!! Thank you so much for this video, this stuff happens to me so often and I didn't have a clue about how to fix it. You just made my life so much easier and my addiction so much more enjoyable! Thank you again for taking the time to show us this stuff.
I only got my knitting machine recently. I don’t knit that much with needles. I’ve always shied away from complicated knitting stitches. This video is wonderful. You have covered so many of the errors I have encountered on my knitting machine. I now have the confidence to fix many of them. Thank you so much.
Love your tutorials!!! You are a great teacher. I get my Sentro on Monday. And I’m sure I’m going to watch your videos over and over again. Thank you so very much.
This the best video for beginners!! Tha j you so much is was getting very frustrated with my mistakes and I have no clue how to fix them till now!! You're awesone!!
Wow u have a remarkable comprehension of the mechanics of how this works. I have a hard time with visualizing such things but really want to understand the needles and going backward and forward etc. You helped me so much. I have a knock off version right now I just want to make pieces of knit to play around with dyes, and I will re-knit it by hand. I have found I have to be SUPER gentle with worsted, the first machine I had lasted an hour and the gears got stripped. Then I read that some folks on amazon have similar problems with Addi also, but you really have it down. Thanx again, I shall look forward to more videos from you.
Great tips - thanks so much for showing how to fix in such clear detail. I have had my Addi just about two weeks and had encountered ALL the problems you highlighted so this video was a lifesaver! Many thanks from the UK.
am so glad I found your channel am brand new and have been frustrated to tears-- I had dropped stitches and split stitches and just messed up stitches-- to the point I was wondering why I ever got the stupid machines... I have saved this video so I will be watching it over and over so I have an idea of what to do in the future... Ty Ty Ty for this , as I really needed somebody to show me what to do....Have subscribed so I will be watching you th again so much
Thank you for sharing... I am a new to addi knitting machine and i am glad i found your video.. My mom and i had some of the problems you have in this video.. Gives us a good way to fix our problems. Thanks again for all the tips on it
Your video was the best description on how to avoid tucked and fix stitches. Thank you so much. Will you be doing any other videos? I think your content would be amazing.
you are a lifesaver. thank you for saving my art. this is a wonderfully put together tutorial. I have had these very same issues in my projects and experienced so much frustration as I am a professional fiber artist. thanx again.
This is a great video. You have keen insight into the working of the machine. Even after watching, I am not clear enough to duplicate the process from memory, but now know where to come for step-by-step reference when I need it! Thanks so much for sharing your knowledge with us mortals. 🤣With love from BanDana Gramma YT.
Thank you so much. This video is so much help for me as i just got the machine and i kinda get frustrated with the problems i encountered. The books are of no help either. Once again thank you so much
Your Awesome! I have had my Addi for over a year. Decided to organize my closet and realized I started knitting on it to try it out for the first time didn't know how to cast off so I put it up....the scarf is still on the loom lol. I could never find any good videos or instruction ... thank you so much. I'm excited to start using it . Hope I can find more of your videos.
Thank you so much. i let the kids participate in making my first hat but one of them missed few stitches and I didn't catch it till she got past them by a few more stitches. This makes so much sense to fix those stitches.
Thank you for this thorough demonstration!!! . Especially helpful that you knew the importance of zooming in on the needles you were talking about and working on. I've only been knitting on my Addi for a month but would have saved myself SOOO much frustration if I had come across this video back then. You need to convince Skacel / Addi to include it or a form of it with the sell of every loom.
@@rexlife6372 thanks, I've just made my first scarf, I had a problem with a stitch that wasn't right, I used your video to put the stitch right, can't believe I managed to do it, I usually have to start again when I make a mistake. Thanks again x
Thanks for all your tips...Love the video...Just a tip for you...I picked up a plastic dental pick? with metal ends at the 0.99 store and works great for getting in and grabbing the stitches...better than the red needle...try it...
Thanks for the great tips. I have a handicapped daughter who loves her ADDI, but often does not catch a dropped stitch until it is way passed the "backup fix" stage.
thank you for the clear instructions. I'm new to the Addi and the problem I'm having is it bunches up when I knit. It does it on different needles and I can't figure out how to fix it or what is causing it. Any suggestions you have would be greatly apprecaited
Thank you so much. I'm doing a blanket with unforgettable waves (roving). Once done. I wont be using any yarn higher than a #4 yarn. Thanks again. I can use alot of your techniques
Awesome video I have a prym large video I was going to say use so coating silicone when you said it started biting and squeaking it's probably full of fluff
I have a 22 needle addi and it always catches on the 20th needle. I already have the king size addi and recently invested in the small one and made about 1/2dozen headbands before it started messing up. I’m not sure if it’s the yarn or something wrong with that needle.
This is the best video and explanation so far and I wish I could do this but I get so confused when one needle is popping up and which one is which and how to maintain the others at the same time. ugh.
This is such a GREAT video. Could you do one on how to do ribbing on Addi? I watched 'Yar for Yarm' over and over and I am still confused. I can not find any other youtube video on how to make ribbing on Addi. if you could help by making a video or maybe you know of a video that is clearer than the one I have been watching. If not I understand how busy you are and I so appreciate this great video on fixing my mistakes.
To make an adult sized jumper... how and where do you make the initial measurements and then translate these measurements to rows and length? Maybe I am being a bit ambitious here as I have never used a knitting machine before... but making a jumper is my eventual goal. I don’t understand how to calculate the measurements (I have a horror of maths!). I don’t want to just make endless scarves and beanies on my new machine! Thanks for any help! PS. Your instructions are very clearly communicated and understood in this video... I would have probably given up on the whole garment if I dropped a stitch.
Congrats on the new adventures with your machine! Making a jumper would be a pretty big undertaking. Not impossible by any means but I would definitely get comfortable with your machine and the learning curves. I am glad my video has been helpful for you. Good luck on your knitting machine adventures!
For future Mae when she runs into this problem and returns to this video... 1:30 -for if you catch the fail right away after its knitted 2:39 -for if you catch the fail just before its knitted into the next row, slightly less frustrating. 8:10 -Fixing a fail after multiple rounds.

I had this happen when I was on ow 99 and had to unpick the whole thing, it was demoralising . Now I know how to do this now. Thank you so much xxx
Thank you so much for your clear instructions. You have helped me save time and aggravation.
