Bill, thats quite a rock collection. I don't see any working on any of your stones. No chipping, pecking, flaking, seriations, grinding. Also there is no evidence of being used, no wear patterns, patina. The Native Americans knew which rocks to use to leave a sharp edge. The material they used would leave conchoidal fracture, from there they would use pressure flaking to shape into the artifact they wanted.and then finished by secondary flaking to put on an edge add a flute or two and set a hafting area. Materials from your area used for tool making are: Agate, basalt, chert, flint, obsidian, petrified wood and quartzite. the Indians were artists and when you see a well worked artifact in situ you will never forget it. If you get a book you can see the differences between Axes, Celts, Adzes, Hoes, hammerstones, metates, grinding stones.

I believe they had tools that were not ornate. They did nit carry all tools from place to place. So, it's likely they had lots of tools left where they used them. Think about hiw many tools I have in my kitchen. Then how many my husband has in his garage.. In life we need lots of tools today and years ago. Thanks for your thoughtful sharing.

I have noticed something on all of your videos. You have a great collection of stones, but none are genuine artifacts. These are called geofacts. They are stones that resemble something by their natural formation. These are not Indian artifacts though. Still an interesting collection of rocks.

Geofacts is a word given to stones that look like artifacts but cannot be because they disagree with the theories and ideology of the mainstream archeologists/geologists. Another term used besides geofacts is "natural phenomenons". This term is used for objects naturally formed in a unique way that cannot be explained, except for one minor explanation, they cannot be artifacts. Really? Formed through erosion from water, wind or ice or....or.... man? No not man. Why? Because it does not fit the ideology of these experts. Ideology is forming an idea or theory where all study discovery or search has to conform to the idea already established. If it does not fit the idea then it has to be explained away even if by calling it a "natural phenomenon". Like being judged guilty without a chance to prove your innocence and no matter how much evidence you have to prove your innocence it would have to be labeled a "natural phenomenon" because nothing can be accepted by the Court except the evidence that would prove the idea of your guilt. What ever happened to "innocent until proven guilty" or "Theory until proven fact".

if you believe something is an artifact, that's all you need. i have had rocks lay around my house for 10 years and suspected but could never prove. now i have absolute proof, and it's mind blowing. archeologists have a long way to go in this respect. i have been watching your vids with interest. i bet you feel these people are reaching out to you for recognition and respect.

    Mr. Shira,
How do most of the Archaeologist in Arizona differ so much from your type of Archaeology? I agree with you about your stones being tools! You have shown us evidence :How each is held, the usage of each and more. Unfortunately, when I show some stones comparable to yours, most Arizona Archaeologist will say that most of my stones are just natural, with the exception of a few (some go as far as saying to throw them into the garden. Also, the tools that I have found, were near the canals that the Hohokam Engineers had designed and built in their ancient world and the serpent(called the Avanyu which is horned or feathered) has been embossed onto these tools. This Avanyu was part of the Hohokam culture which was retained by the Hohokam after separating and arriving in Arizona. So now, when I look at my tools and find the serpent, (snake,Avanyu) it makes me confident that what I have is an Ancient Artifact. My belief is that when a snake can be distinctly seen in the form of a bird or another creature(known as morphing) or just a snake itself on a stone, it is definitely a real Artifact .
Moreover, I feel Archaeologist today stick to such a strict criteria concerning what is a tool, effigy etc., a negative atmosphere is created for anyone who tries to give a different viewpoint concerning stones presented to them. If the Scientist Galileo was such a follower afraid to share his own opinion, where would we be today?
I would like to read some archaeological opinions with diverse answers concerning what has been found in the fields of the Southwest.
    Can anybody share a name?
    Thank you.

To become an archeologist you would have to take classes that teach the same theory in every university in the world. They have already decided the origination of man and if anything disagrees with that theory then whatever you find cannot be an artifact and oddly enough they will discard it without any careful or interested examination. I like your example of Galileo. For an archeologist to do that though would be career suicide. Thanks for your interest and keep on searching.

A lot of it has to do with the fact that there are millions of hammerstones and grinders and nutting stones and unless it's an exceptional specimen it probably is going to end up in a flower bed. Now personally I totally get what you're saying I keep all mine in a lockbox and I wish they did care more about them, and the one saying they're natural just don't care enough to really look into them or want to push a different narrative.
