Well, you may understand, if you take your time and sit in one of these and drive it. I mean drive, not just steering the wheel, pushing the pedals. If you know, what does it mean, you will have a smile on your face every time you push the pedal harder, or when its toe starts to drift. If you aren't the man who like driving, then you will never understand. The design and handling of this car is so unique and hot that is not related to age, or usage-just feels.
@Nontouchable ive got a 205 turbo too. just upgrading from a t2 turbo to a t4. but i was still making 178bhp and 180ft/lb at the wheels. that was with turbo technics pistons, rods, exhaust manifold, standard cam and megasquirt 2 ecu. oh ond a ported and big valve head and at 1 bar of boost

Het vermogen wat de laatste keer is gemeten was 405 pk aan de wielen, dit is GEMETEN met een Dynapack 4000 chassis dynamometer. Met het omrekenen naar krukasvermogen valt nog te sjoemelen, met het gemeten wielvermogen niet. De auto heeft die dag ongeveer 5-6 uur non stop op de bank staan draaien, nu weet ik niet wat voor competitie jullie rijden, maar gewoon voor een circuit is heet geen enkel probleem, de motorkoeling is in orde, de inlaattemp. is goed en de EGT +AFR is ook niks mis mee.
@nielsboex i think that's the whole point. i bought an old 309 with a good shell for £100, and a xsara VTS engine for another £100. with a few more bits i'll have a 180bhp/ton pocket rocket for less than £500. i see what you mean about spending big money but if you can do it for little money then it's a great cheap way to have fun.
Je mag wantrouwen wat je wilt, de 1e keer is het vermogen gemeten op de 4wd bank bij Verhoeven, niet de meest optimistische bank, toen kwam er 394 pk uit (filmpje staat ook op UA-cam) daarna is de boel goed afgesteld en kwam het op 466pk uit op de bank bij DP-Engineering (wederom filmpje op UA-cam). Hij doet het dus best wel leuk, alleen zit er nu een ander bak onder omdat de standaard bak het begeven had na 500km op 466 pk... ps. Ik ben de bouwer/eigenaar van de auto
@scratchyrice Might add I was avoiding a Vauxhall Nova (Opel Corsa) which was lowered and had 5 peeps plus loud music in the middle of an English backroad when I rolled it ;)

@EricYellow0031 Geen probleem op het circuit? Probeer maar eens een bocht te pakken met 400pk op de voorwielen, zonder een geweldig sper differentieel ga je alleen maar tijd en snelheid verliezen mijn gti met 150pk heeft al genoeg moeite om bij het uitkomen van de bocht te accelereren

I don't have anything against an original 205, I just don't get why anyone would spend a big amount of money on a car that costs less than the parts you put into it . You can get an old 205 for 500 euros .
0-100 is niet echt vlug, beetje last van wielspin ;-)) Ondertussen heeft het hok een complete spuitbeurt ondergaan, is alle verlichting vernieuwd, zijn de velgen zwart metallic gespoten en zit het vermogen nu op een goeie 466pk op de krukas. Oh ja, hij is te koop...;-)
@scratchyrice Looks like you need to learn how to control lift off oversteer as that's the killer for the twats who crash them. It's not much of a car and that's the appeal. It's a shoebox with as much power as ya like (Mi16 Turbo and you can touch 400Bhp with only 900kg of car...) which makes mince meat of most high powered cars. BTW I can attest to their durability. Rolled one, had an accountant pull out in front of me too. Neither time did I die...

the turbo spooled up and gave ot a good kick, he could have improved on that by making the turbo flaps stay at sharp angle and fit a bigger dump valve

actually a 205 1.9 gti in good knick is still about 3grand and a 1.6 is 1600. and the lil 1ltrs pulll about 700

Maar het is een S16 2 Liter blok. Niet 1.6 dus. Maar heeft dacht 466PK aan de krukas maar bij DP meten ze wiel pk's en die zijn 405pkaatjes dus :-)

because we have the money to spend on them, its like a big toy, most of us with turbocharged 205s have a daily driver aswell.

Blok is van Peugeot. Zoek even op '405 WHP' dan is het het bovenste filmpie. Hij heeft 515Nm.
