Dude, you are one of the best players I've heard on UA-cam. Your phrasing and execution is impeccable...It goes to show 80 to 90% of what makes a guitar sound good is in the players fingers. I've heard a lot of other players on $2,500 guitars that don't sound half as good as you.

Congratulations, your the first to properly demonstrate it's sound up and down the neck instead of banging away with distortion which doesn't allow for a real idea of it's range or capabilities. Thank you.

Such tasty playing. So cleanly executed. I love Teles with Humbuckers. I still have my Yamaha SSJ-550 HR (bought it back in 1987!), and it still plays great, though now it has DiMarzio's in it.

Gorgeous guitar and instrumental playing. I have two Harley Bentons with Roswell pickups and neither needed any modifications which is unheard of in the price range. If I bought the squiers instead I'd definitely be upgrading at the $100-$150 price range.

Jonathan, I always listen to your reviews of Harley Benton guitars for one thing you can make the guitar do what it does best and if there was a problem with it you would say it. Plus you are in my opinion one of the best lead guitar players in the world but you are so humble you would never wear the crown but you could take it from most that are out there. Love your reviews cause I get to hear you play a pleasant song not a head banging riff with feed back. Thanks Bruce from Michigan

Ha Jonathan I did get the TE-40 back into the shop for a better set up and I am extremely pleased with the results this time. You can split the coils on this beast, I don't know how Hi-Tech did it but he did. Bad news on the neck it turned out to be a lot worse then anyone thought or found up to this point, I'm kinda in trouble and are in need of pray they is a growth on my brain stem so Gods got this.

Finally got my TE-40 this week and I was shocked at how great it is. I've had a Harley Benton CST-24HB TOL Tobacco Flame for about 3 months. I don't really like the CST C shape neck and I've had to carefully file down the sharp frets. The TE-40 has better machine heads. The CST cost $208 compared to the $130 TE-40. The CST weighs a ton (Les Paul weight almost) which is surprising for a semi-hollow body. The TE-40 doesn't have the split coil but that is the only disadvantage if you want to call it that. If you're considering a PRS style guitar against a Tele style from Harley Benton save yourself $80 and get the TE-40. It's as much fun to play as my 91 Strat Plus Deluxe and I don't have to worry about it getting scratched or dinged....it's only worth $130 not $1700. The body contours on the Strat and the TE-40 fit you like a glove. (I wish the TE-40 had a tremolo bar). ****I bought roller string trees - Thank you for the tip Jonathan. Great video as usual.

Thank you for your review, Jonathan. This is a beautiful guitar after about a week I did notice the bridges had a little bit of an issue. I rotated the bridge having the tension reversed on the pins and this corrected the issues and improve the intonation and pins popping. This is a great guitar and a bargain at the price.

I came for the review... quite good guitar for a beginner who likes T-shape and HH mics.
But I watched and rewatched the video for the tune you´re playing. Some parts... licks... put my jaw down on the floor. I´d give an arm, or two, to play 10% as good as you do. Well, it would be even harder without my arms, actually.😁

Fantastic playing by Jonathan. I love his reviews, he is so talented, helpful, and extremely modest. Keep 'em coming, Jonathan. Think I am going to get one of those TE-40's. I have a couple of HB guitars already. Not 100% perfect; the ST-62 had a poorly cut nut and the CST needed a little set-up work. But for the money? Ridiculously good value. Way better than any Squire or Ephphone I have tried (many).

I bought this one, but I must of had a bad pickup or something as it rang like a bell. Every touch seemed amplified and if you knocked on the body you could hear the springs through the pickups. I didn't keep it, I sold it as returning it from Canada for replacement was as half much as the guitar itself. Aesthetically though.. it was beautiful, and felt nice to play.

I've always been a fan of Humbuckers and i do love Les Pauls, but there's just something about a Tele body that does it for me.
Been looking for a guitar that would give me the best of both worlds but need both my arms and legs. I have an Ibanez gio H.S.H and was looking at buying a Tele body and neck and fitting the electronics from the Ibanez to it. But they are Ibanez , so ....
Then i saw this review and for the price of this H\B, I'm going to save myself time and money and go for it.
Have watched so many reviews on Harley Benton guitars and believe that price wise, they are probably the best on the market today.

Greg T I got a HB rosewood tele and couldn't live with the flat radius. So I took out the old frets and made it to a 10 inch radius. And put the old frets back in. Guitar plays like a dream ☺

Greg T bit of work yes but not that difficult really. I put the frets back in the other way round so they could bite back into the fret board with little bit super glue at the fret ends and the center. The frets took to the heavier radius pretty well. Cleaned it all up levelled frets etc. I would hesitate in doing this to a more expensive guitar. But was a cheap good learning platform to practice and I got 100% good 😊 result.

Very impressed by your playing throughout this demo, great video! And the guitar sounds pretty good too. The brightness of the humbuckers is surprising but I found it brings up the telecaster character to this dual humbucker guitar. At some times, I really thought that you had a split coil. But a bright chimy sound out of a tele is not too surprising I guess.

I was wondering if you will ever do a re visit on this guitar? Did you ever put in the graphtec nut? I did! Looks really slick all black headstock and sounds better.
