My first guitar!! Im in love with the looks, plus the feel of the fretboard..!! The stock rosswells were too "dirty" for my likings so i went for EMGs' 57/66 set. Kept the gold accents too! Locking tuners, tusq nut ect. Its amazing ever since..!! Amazing value and a great base for upgrades! Probably the sexiest guitar body ive seen to date
A few months ago, to enter the Harley Benton world, I decided to buy this guitar, despite having read not so exciting reviews. I wanted a TELE with Humbuckers and the TE-40 struck me for its elegance (black with gold hardware) and, seeing the price, I decided to buy it. After eight months I'm very happy with the purchase because it's an aesthetically beautiful guitar but also fun to play.
This is among the best looking guitars in your catalogue Harley Benton. It's such a charm, like tuxedo style guitar!!! Have you ever considered making a new upgraded version of it @harley benton? Keeping the same looks, but bringing upgraded woods and hardware such as Tesla pickups, Roasted neck, SS frets, locking tuners and a better resonance body. Of course with a higher price tag. I would buy it easily. Who would be up for it?
5 months in still a great guitar, my main guitar at the moment when I'm gigging. it would do with upgraded pickups and although I've had no probs with the tuners they also could do with upgrading but other than that what a nice guitar.
This is my No1 guitar, i love it. I would give it 100% but i cannot. If the string-through-body holes were straight behind the bridge then it would score the 100%, but as the holes are stupidly angled, i cannot give it the score it needs.
I would have kept the classical metal brigde for teles cause give a cool metallic sound... My favourite pickups are P-90 and lipsticks...and i'd love this guitar had them... Being said that,is a cool guitar, good done guys...i like the way you go... I have about 3 or 4 Harleys...i use to change the neck for slimmer ones...and love this guitars...
Hello. I own this guitar model. It’s stunning to look at. The pickup,s is a bit “muddy”. Mine has a electrical backlash so the sound disappears all of a sudden. It is probably very easy to fix. A little sharp frets and that was a easy fix. I’m about to buy several HB,s more and one is a T-style with double binding and more of a classical look of this model. The neck is magical, it is so soft and smooth. It’s light but has surprisingly tone in the body without a connected amp. Okey have a wonderful evening and a Happy New Year 🎊🎈🎆.
Had mine for almost two years now, love it but yes the stock pups are muddy, change the bridge pu to a Dean Leslie West and it sounds Great. This pu works great for this body wood it adds the clairity and brighnes this ax needs
It's pretty. I would buy one if it came with Filtertrons. When I look at the aesthetics of the guitar design, it seems to be me it should have brightness and clarity of tone, and instead it's got muddy humbuckers. I think it could also benefit from an upgraded neck, maybe an ebony fretboard with lines instead of dots, or maybe a maple neck of some sort. But I know HB isn't going to change this, they've been making it this way for years.
Buy it and put in filtertrons, I think it has a great body style, nice contours, plus string thru, either way a great starting point. While an ebony fretboard would be nice it would only add $$ to the price, would be a nice option tho. Maybe HB could add a choose your option feature to some of their guitars?
@@johnanonomous238 Oh, I agree. The right approach would be to 1) order the guitar and see in person what it is like, and 2) decide if you want to add new pickups. In fact, after writing my comment, I spent like the next hour or so pondering my options online. lol HB isn't going to do any customization as they make their money off of mass production in China.
@@SG-js2qn Yeah I know, Unfortunately thats the way of the world. Guitar Maxx featured this guitar and while not a fan of the T style this guitar caught my eye and I pulled the trigger, GLAD I did. Only complaint for me were the pups but then almost every guitar I own has had the pups changed so no big deal, trouble is finding a set that works with the body wood.
@@johnanonomous238 One thing to note is that they changed the fretboard. The current one is rosewood, while the one that GuitarMax had a black fretboard..
This is a great guitar, don't know how it stands up to a real tele of this type but i played it at a gig this saturday and it held its own even with more expensive guitars i have. For £110 including shipping it is B stock, slight tarnishing on the tuners but otherwise mint. Im playing country rock at the moment and it sounds fantastic.
If you could order that with a coil split. It’s be the perfect guitar. I’ll bet you can and it’s a model I don’t know about because Harley Benton makes everything.
The modded one I have, has a coil split on the neck pick up and a coloursound bridge pick up from 1970's. The 3 way switch has been replaced with a balance potentiometer. Up and working, but I am going to do somethjing with the capacitors as well.. A very smart looking instrument.
It is a telecaster shape with gibson pickup spacing. It gives a higher volume for the bridge pick up because the bridge pick up is further away from the bridge than a telecaster, or a Gibson.
Still love mine after almost 3 years. It is not a Telecaster and doesn't try to be one. Someday I will probably spring for a lipstick pickup'ed Tele but it will have nothing to do with this guitar.
I've yet to see what must be the best sounding type of guitar, a bolt-on Tele with two MINI humbuckers (a la Les Paul Delux) A body like this with the ash top and the slightly warmer, but still not losing the top end as P90's sometimes do, chirpy and squawky pickups on a snappy Tele body.... Why do I never ever see these on offer for LP style guitars, let alone the Jeff Becky sound they get on a Tele. I did see a Seymour Duncan designed Tele type a few years back, but I've never seen mini humbuckers on a Tele style body where the sharper edges of the body give a sharper snap to the resonance affecting the pick/up sound.
I got this beast, ... love beasty fems, ... all the horneyness?, ... intensley true ... from Math Metal to any kind of Jazz, chops included, ... this should be the vlagship of the Harley Benton range, even without a pull switch, ... Adorable, you say?, ... this lady is an allrounder 💖💥💯
Hmmm, again chordplay only, no solo at all, no melody, nothing. Only used one single crunch and one single clean tone. The first is overpushed to be too dirty too. The guy played it as an acoustic. Just not how you present a guitar guys.
By the way...do you know theres no cheap lefty Firebird models? And theres almost nothing cheap for leftys with P-90 and lipstick (Harley is the only brand i know...). Thanks for your work guys...💜
Was my 1st Harley Benton !! I have loved it! ❤❤
@HarleyBentonOfficial I can't see It 🙄😊
They should do one in white with black binding.
Ice white pear with black binding! I'd buy to go along with mine.
and maple neck

nice! I have a santana neck pickup and a Korean bridge PAF clone and for a long time I wasn't sure what to do with it... until I found this!

Great guitar this is played it at a gig last night quite versatile.
Had one of those, and it was pretty damn cool!
I have a HB TE-90 QM and a TE-90 FLT. I do love both of them
Great playing on the Mayer (ish) lick.
Rock!
Have the TE-90 FTL in Sunbusrt, Incredible guitar and replaced my Squire Affinity as my daily driver. Bought the Les Paul copy and it was great too!

Me encanta esta guitarra. Es muy bonita y elegante. Ademas suena muy bien y sus características estan por encima de su bajo precio.
Dammittt!!! I just ordered a 25th anniversary tele. It's going to be here Monday. I'm going after the T-40 tomorrow....
did you go for the TE-40 after getting the te-25th?
What a pretty TELE!
