Thanks for your reviews on these BBQ's. I recently bought the Napoleon Prestige 500 RSIB (Ambience Edition) upon watching your reviews and reading the comments from your viewers. Originally set on buying the Genesis CSE-335 (for the Canadian market only) black enamel version. The advantage for the Napoleon is its versatility in cooking. What swayed me to the Napoleon was the infrared sear station (stainless steel in the Ambience version), larger warming rack (again stainless steel in the Ambience version), infrared rotisserie burner with rotisserie included. The rotisserie spit (rod) is 6" off the grid. No need to remove grates. I like the hood design, easy to roll up, and the handle is not too high in the up position. The updated warranty is lifetime for hood, aluminum castings, SS cooking grids, SS burners, all else is 15 years. About the same price for both bbq's here in Canada. $1659 CAD for Napoleon Prestige Ambience, $1599 CAD for the Weber CSE-335 black enamel. Advantage for the Weber would be 9mm SS grates vs 7.5mm for the Napoleon, but I find the 7.5 mm grates to be sufficiently robust. The door handles on the Weber is steel, not plastic as on the Napoleon. The Weber also comes included with the iGrill3 for the CSE-335 model here in Canada. I was a little worried about the Napoleon in that the doors don't align properly as seen on some UA-cam videos, but that can be adjusted without too much difficulty. So far, very happy with this Napoleon. Better than I expected. Only time will tell if this Napoleon will hold up to the elements. Just a note: There is just no best BBQ for everyone, but just try to find the best BBQ for you. Happy grilling.....stay safe!!!

Do you think maybe you had a plugged orifice on the weber, seams really odd to have nothing if there was a actual flame? Have you every had issue with depth of the burner. I had a weber for 20 years, bought different bbq and burnt it on first use. We are looking at going back to the weber for a few reasons. 1. Depth of burners, deeper so less flare ups. 2. Wheels, we move our bbq around and the two large wheels are a huge bonus for that. 3. We actually like the tank on the outside with the level indicator as we live out of town and if it is low make sure we take it as to not run out. I do like the reviews and would like to try a Napoleon but am scared I may not like it. Thanks for the reviews
I wish that was the case. The Weber we used in this video was brand new and never used. Sounds like the Weber is the right move for you since no other grill has the propane level indicator. Thank so much for the support!!
I work with grills as a living and I can tell you, those Napoleon hoods, burners, and flavorizing bars are much more inferior compared to the Coyote ones. I would've easily put the Coyote as #1. The quality of the steel used for the Coyote is top notch and flavorizing bars are great designs and quality. And yes, those burners are some of the best you can find. Much more efficient and reliable, burns evenly even after long time use, easily detachable for cleaning and repairing. All the components in the Coyote are very similar to expensive brands like Lynx and Vikings. The size is great also. Only being able to retract on one side for the Napoleon can get very annoying very fast and one little mistake of over burning will stain those "steels" forever.
I'd be interested to see how low you can get. I never grill on high and just completed a 4-hour smoked (with smoker tube) spatchcocked chicken (3 chickens) cook on my Weber Genesis II E-325 (Ace Hardware exclusive) and was able to maintain a constant 225-275 degree grate temp throughout the cook. I'm guessing most of the others would be too hot with the burner setups. The Napoleons have double orifice rows on each burner, so more gas burning all the time. The others have even larger burners, so doubt they can get as low as Weber. My opinion is less is more with grill heat, particularly if you're interested in the versatility to be able to smoke on it. Great vid and thanks!
@@dank9288639 Yeah, since the date of that comment, I did get a vertical smoker and use that for all my low and slow smoking. Only use the Weber for standard grilling and searing now.

I have a big joe, pit boss lockhart and a blackstone griddle. Im really thinking about adding one of those napoleon 500 grils with the light up knobs but would really like to see on in person. There are no dealers around me that carry them and ordering one and not being happy and wanting to return them seems like such a hassle
It might be that gas glow to the middle burner was blocked somehow. It looks like it’s on, but the flame is really small. This has happened to me. Then I turn off the gas and back on and it works. Sometimes have to re-attach then tank.
Decided to get the Coyote 28” for our second home, looks like a great bargain for a professional style all stainless grill. Thanks for the suggestion and first look at the brand.
Great channel man. The bread test is brilliant. I was leaning towards Napoleon based on my own research and even what you showed in your other videos. But the almost-full-coverage heat on the Weber sold me. The one thing I hated all my life on my previous grills were those pieces of meat not cooking cause of those cold spots at the front, back. Seems like something I can put in the past with the Weber!
i like BBQ'S but WTF its like most grill manufactures completely fail to under stand how food is made and use thin metals, most grills have hilariously uneven heat zones with metal plates to heat up and create even heat... how about you get the grill to actually function before you add 6 or 8 valves and still fail to have even heat, if i was to design a grill the fire would cook the food.. not a heated piece of metal... its like a very inefficient type of gas coil stove.. make a hydroformed rectangle burner to fit the whole area of the grill drill holes every square inch or more to cover the entire surface area with little flames and then make the burner raise and lower like a smoker, and then you got even heating
Just bought the Napoleon Rogue 525 Special Edition (Black). It has this 15 year limited warranty that you mention, but I think all of the parts that really matter (the burners and searing plates) are of the same quality right? The parts that have the longest warranty (15 years) on my grill are the exterior parts. The hood, side tables etc. Anyway... this thing feels _solid_ as a rock man !
I have an old aussie 4 burner stainess / full cabinet plus side burner grill. Been great for 15 years or more. But I am ready for a bit more quality. Your 500 to 1500 range works for me. Love your videos. I have been eyeing the Napolean Prestige 500. But with Napolean announcing the #PHANTOMRISING. That puts the phantom prestige 500 above the 1500 dollar mark. With the price increase of the Phantom edition would you buy it or get something else in that price range?
It will be tough to beat for sure. Napoleon has really gotten ahead of themselves though. As now they pushed back the date until august. Which summer will be almost over by then
@@embersliving That is good to know ... that will help me make a decisions. I do wish they would add lights on the phantom series of the prestige series. I will watch for your next series on the top 5 premium grills. Thanks for all you do.
I have a napoleon prestige, it's alright. I wish I had saved a bit more and went up to another level of grills. Something about the cheap feeling handles bothers me! Also they packed damaged parts into my box, so at least I know the warranty/service department was alright. I literally had to wait a month until they were making another batch of napoleon prestiges to get my part made, but I got it eventually.
Yeah that's what we recommend a lot of the time, get the premium quality! Napoleon is typically pretty good about warranty issues! Glad they took care of you though!
Quick question...should I buy the prestige pro or wait for the phantom? Esthetics would be the sole reason for the phantom...not sure about "cast" stainless steel either.
I bought a prestige from you guys a year ago. It flairs up way worse than my old weber. Probably selling it and going back to weber. Kinda sad it performs so poorly with fatty meats
I had a weber for 20 years then bought a nice shiny Black & Decker. I burnt the heck out of it first use. I think the depth of the burners is a big factor. We are probably going back to a weber for this reason. I think this is likely your issue as well.
I love the Napoleon BBQ, recently I just sold my Napoleon LeX 703 which i have for around 10 years, it was as good as the day i got it, my only dislike about it was the lettering around the knobs rubbed off within a couple years but no other issues for 10 years and was hands down the best BBQ i every owned. I just purchased a new grill, not delivered yes, its the Napoleon Pro 665, I had no interest in other brands, only looked at the Napoleon because we were that happy with the LeX 703, I hope im just as happy with my Pro 665
@@embersliving Thanks for the videos. I am looking for my 1st Gasgrill and so you are now in my UA-cam recommendations. ;) I ordered the Napoleon P500 Phantom today. Partially also to your videos. Greetings from Germany.
Your videos are excellent, but there's no way that weber center burner was performing properly. That deserved a full inspection and followup video. You can't just drop that in there and pretend it's how the grill works. And I don't even give a crap about Weber! I just don't want flawed conclusions from a faulty experiment, and this one is highly suspect (without examination and extra info)
Just call them, they tell you. The phantom is painted black and has a fancy badge. So compared to the dougie/prestige it's the same product, just a fancy paint that will eventually fade or peel off due to heat. That's why it's cheaper. Just buy a regular one and enjoy not burning yourself if your skin hits the hot black from being in the direct sun or excess heat from the color. Personally, I don't like weird things like skeletons or ghosts or horror movies; yeah my phantom is on the deck. No thanks..
Want to know the difference between the Weber mentality and the Rogue mentality? The Weber door snap in place with 2 pins on each door. Quick and easy. Rogue uses a pile of cheap screws and some annoying brackets. The Rogue doors never line up as nicely as the Weber doors.
Your videos are informative but please get some good lighting installed for your videos. Half the time I can't even see what you are referring to/talking about. I don't want to see shadows, I want to see the grill.
@@embersliving I noticed a revised arrival date is now 2022. What happened? Very bummed. Was hoping to have it installed for this year's Parade of Homes (Sept/Oct 2021).
Which would you get: 1. Weber Genesis II S-335 with cover, iGrill3, and 4 meat probes for $900 2. Napoleon Prestige 500 with cover for $1300 When you compare a S-335 and Prestige 500 at normal price, the Prestige 500 is the clear winner, but I could save over $400 with the S-335 and that makes my decision much tougher.
56 seconds into this video, which was titled the Best 5 Quality Gas Grills , you state you cannot make a "Top 5". WTF In Canada we make statements and stand by them. Why can't you do the same? Regards, Kevin Tischer
By the way, having the filthy grill at a grill store is gross. I clean my grill when I am done cleaning and clean the top and side tables till everything is perfect. And I have an aussie 400 dollar grill. But its a pride and food maker.. so it needs to stay clean. Clean your grill man.. its just pride in cooking on a grill.

Ugh! We are so sorry we couldn't help you! Thank you nonetheless for still supporting the channel! We appreciate you!
The middle burner on Genesis might be off. What is the other video that you do the toast test on the weber?
I think it’s in our rogue video or the one with the blue genesis, we double checked that ourselves and the burner was for sure on
@@embersliving I'm sure you double checked but that's really weird. Also I noticed that the knob was on 10. On my genesis the higher setting is on 9. That's why I assumed that it might be off.
Thanks for the nice reviews!
Great Reviews. The question I have is WHY did they get away with the ceramic disk or rocks to even out the heat? I believe MHP has them, what are your thoughts of that grill?
check out our premium grills video they have those options on there.
@@embersliving Great, Thank you!!
Don't hate on a dirty grill! A dirty grill is a loved and used grill.
Haha you're right! It has definitely been loved and used!
Can you please review the new prestige phantom...I'm definitely thinking of buying it as soon as it becomes available here in Canada.
Yes we have the review done already. We are not allowed to post until April 8th. Make sure to subscribe to see!
Quick question...should I buy the prestige pro or wait for the phantom? Esthetics would be the sole reason for the phantom...not sure about "cast" stainless steel either.
with a Weber you can get parts everywhere and online.
true
Cool video!
Thanks!
I think this is likely your issue as well.
good to know
Yea I've read the flare ups are terrible on the Napoleon Prestige and Pro series.
I just purchased a new grill, not delivered yes, its the Napoleon Pro 665, I had no interest in other brands, only looked at the Napoleon because we were that happy with the LeX 703, I hope im just as happy with my Pro 665
would be nice to put lights on
ha sorry about that, they were
Excellent video. Thx
thanks for watching
You need way more light for this kind of video and in this location.
yeah, its really tricky to shoot in the fireplace side of the store. We got some lights and new cameras since.
I just don't want flawed conclusions from a faulty experiment, and this one is highly suspect (without examination and extra info)
we did redo it again the same result
Great information video. Love the content
Appreciate it!
I’ve never enjoyed grill reviews so much.
Awesome! Glad you enjoy our reviews!
Me either! This guy is awesome
You made me choose Weber.. by far the best performance.. Napoleon had the most uneven heating://
thanks for the feedback
Really need another video on that Rogue Phantom. Seems comparable to the Prestige and it's cheaper.
It’s coming. It isn’t though. No rotisserie no lifetime warranty, made in China, and not as good of a lid
No thanks..
Looking forward to the Phantom Prestige 500 vid as well. The cast iron/stainless combo looks incredible.
Awesome and helpful but why was buddy out of breathe the whole video start to finish ? hahahaha
bad mic setting
Want to know the difference between the Weber mentality and the Rogue mentality? The Weber door snap in place with 2 pins on each door. Quick and easy. Rogue uses a pile of cheap screws and some annoying brackets. The Rogue doors never line up as nicely as the Weber doors.
thanks for the feedback
Smokin Brothers for sure. Made 100% in MO.
ok
Your videos are informative but please get some good lighting installed for your videos. Half the time I can't even see what you are referring to/talking about. I don't want to see shadows, I want to see the grill.
It really hard to shoot in the fireplace section of the showroom. We also got lights, new gear, and a new camera guy since.
Chose my new BBQ based off your reviews (multiple reviews not just this one). Thanks!
Awesome! Thanks for supporting us! Glad we could help you!
Oh grilles. yay. Meh...
XL IGNITE BOLD. I’ll keep trolling. Lol.
Great vid guys!
Hahah i know we want the bold too! Wont be for a while unfortunately :(
@@embersliving I noticed a revised arrival date is now 2022. What happened? Very bummed. Was hoping to have it installed for this year's Parade of Homes (Sept/Oct 2021).
Yeah it’s not looking good. We may be able to fulfill existing pre orders but no new orders
Which would you get:
1. Weber Genesis II S-335 with cover, iGrill3, and 4 meat probes for $900
2. Napoleon Prestige 500 with cover for $1300
When you compare a S-335 and Prestige 500 at normal price, the Prestige 500 is the clear winner, but I could save over $400 with the S-335 and that makes my decision much tougher.
thats true, I still think long term your going to be happier with the P500 being you will have both grills for at least 10 years
He puts the asparagus back in the grill :D
haha
I was about to light this guy up in the comments section about the Napoleon over the Weber until he mentioned the side sear station.🤣
ha
Another video by Weber
no lol
I salute you
thanks
In that line of barbecues where would a Char-Broil
PROFESSIONAL PRO S 4 come
we would have to get our hands on one
@@embersliving please buy one I think I want one and I want to see what it's like from experts point of view
Got rid of my Coyote, a trash grill. Get you a Weber.
wow dang
I want to know why wasn’t that asparagus wrapped in bacon? 😂
dang good idea
bash bash bash
haha
56 seconds into this video, which was titled the Best 5 Quality Gas Grills , you state you cannot make a "Top 5".
WTF
In Canada we make statements and stand by them.
Why can't you do the same?
Regards,
Kevin Tischer
so sorry Kevin
The woebegone art interestingly delight because marble mechanically scrape sans a rustic christmas. flimsy, loutish ice
ha ok
By the way, having the filthy grill at a grill store is gross. I clean my grill when I am done cleaning and clean the top and side tables till everything is perfect. And I have an aussie 400 dollar grill. But its a pride and food maker.. so it needs to stay clean. Clean your grill man.. its just pride in cooking on a grill.
so sorry cayman
to much foreplay just get to the review brother
ha ok
Couldn’t even watch... just get on with the review already
thanks for the feedback
U Talk TOOOO much
So sorry
Too damn much talking, quite watching
Interesting lol... Thanks for watching and commenting none the less
you are too verbose.
thanks for the feedback
Tooooooo slow. Finish in under 2 minutes.
ok
I bought a Napolean prestige grill seems fine. Customer service is horrendous. Can you send me a phone number or email address that I can actually get through to have a conversation with a real person!!!
Sorry I cannot pass out emails, but I have used their customer service before and got a quick responce.
