I’m over 1000k in with my inov8 Parkclaw g280 same colour too and I just love them, best shoe I’ve owned. So comfy and grippy and surprisingly responsive, they’re easily the most durable I’ve owned, lasted twice as long as my other pairs. Done lots of trail and road stuff plus trail marathon in them and they held up great throughout. Planning a 100k trail ultra this summer in a second identical pair as mine will probably be dead by then.
Thanks for your comment! What a great assessment. 1000k is an insane number (both for your and the shoes). Don’t you love it when a shoe just works? It’s so rare!
I have the tecton's. They don't feel super bouncy but they 'support' the pace you're going and feel very stable. I find them very comfortable and haven't had any grip issues.
The Zegama is not full ZoomX. It's just the core that's ZoomX and it's encased within a stiffer carrier foam ( called SR02 I think ). Surprise, surprise Nike don't really advertise it in this way !
I wanted to like Hoka Tecton X. The heel counter is super flimsy. If your running tech it almost feels like your heel is sliding and your not at all locked in. Also, brand new out of the box I was having grip issues compared to slab ultra 3 or pulsar pro I would wear them any day over this shoe. Tecton X would be decent for flowy non technical stuff but not a big mountain or technical trail shoe at all
I 100% agree. I really wanted to love it but I wouldn’t dare take it on anything too technical. It felt like my foot was sliding around inside the upper.
See I had the parclaw 275, I found the grip meh and didn't like how my heel would try to slip out And yet I love the tecton x, did my first proper ultra in them. Guess what I'm saying is it's all a bit personal.
@@briancifreo3214 What kind of shoe are you after, the more trail are cushioned but not springy, I use them when I need looking after on a run The tecton x are fast and springy, but you lose some cushion so depends on how far you plan on running. What are you looking for exactly?
i think there's a place for each of these shoes in my rotation. parkclaw for more technical stuff, tecton for faster trails with gravel, and nike for gardening (when the lawn isn't not wet).
Great comparison with these trail shoes, appreciate the in-depth perspective.
Thanks for your comment! Really appreciate it.

Thanks for your comment. That’s good to know. I’m sure lots of people will like them - I just never found them to be as good as I wanted them to be.
@@Nivek_Fartswamy I haven't tried those, so I can't tell unfortunatly. You mean pressure from the upper?

You’re exactly right. If anything, they promote the full ZoomX idea!

I would definitely agree there!
so I guess I need to try on the NB more trail V2.., because I just don’t know about the Zegama
My friend had the prototype NB More Trail v2 and was a big fan of them…
I have a pair of those coming, already have tecton x, Olympus 4, speedgoat 4 and the mont blanc.
Should make for a nice comparison.
@@Huxley555 care to give a report on all those? I’m looking at all the trail options.

Ha ha! Well said. :)
