I'm sure I'm wrong. But I think NOC stands for "nothing, only colour"
Matt Cruz haha you got that from the magorthodoxy
Could it be "Not Ordinary Cards"?
I beleive it is someone he went to lunch with last name, an abbreviation
Yeah I’m pretty sure it means that
NOC, NOC. Who's there? It is the mail man with a deck of cards!
...which decks? ..um..noc..noc..I already asked who's there ugh. what? 😅
Alex Pandrea
Hey!! Would you be willing to donate some decks so I can practice my slight of hand on the kids I work with @ Hillbrook Detention Center in Syracuse, NY
You mean a box full of wood
I fell in love with the idea that NOC might actually stand for 'non official cover' which is usually a term used for undercover feds. NOCs have really been the underdogs in cardhandling imo but have nonetheless become some of my favourite cards to use in performance because of their minimalistic design and unique handling.
oh and gz to 11k my dude
haha ya I was watching the movie the recruit and they had noc in there I was like wait what this is a thing lol
I think NOC stands for "Not Overpriced Cards" and I thank you Alex for that. Deck prices are getting out of control so it's nice to get something simple and stylish to use without breaking the bank.
thats really important for me! thanks for the kind words.
Name one card
No other choice
Not only cards
No ordinary cards
No only color
No one cares
Nothing only color
I just showed this to my mom and brother and they really enjoyed it! They thought it was marked, and I let them examine the card, but they couldn’t figure it out! Thanks Alex!
Loved the video, had no idea that the NOCs are marked xD. NOC= Number One Cards
Hah! Did not know about the marking system until now. Thank you for all your content. Love your stuff! Awesome at explaining and breaking down moves. 🤘🏼
No Overall Cares;
I know that this is most likely not what NOC stands for, but when I think about cards and when I play with them it brings my mind to ease. It can also relate to not caring about having a fancy deck in hand and being content enough with a simplistic design. I've actually never picked up any NOC's but I've always loved their simplicity. Kudos.
N.O.C.
Never Overestimate Color
A simple and understated motto for the beauty of bold colors.
My fav card ever introduced,Alex
I really love the look of the new tuck cases, look so slick!
Loads of good suggestions down here in the comments, NOC could stand for many different smart things, I think I'm gonna suggest Not Original Cards, because you knew some people were going to criticise them for that, because they were "too simple" so why not secretly call them that.
I like the way you emphasize the importance of the performance instead of just straight up methods!! Also, I remember someone once told me that NOC stands for Nothing Only Color.
i remember now Magick Balay from Tannens Magic told me
My fav card ever introduced,Alex
Hello from Germany!
I like your channel and this Cards too. Maby NOC means: Not only cards, because they are more than ordinary playing Cards.
I'm about 38% positive that NOC stand for "Neutron Oscillation Continuity" which is a VERY obvious reference to card magic and sleight of hand.
Have never own knocs but i like the look of the old way of opening it .
Ummm.... "Not Ordinary Cards". Works for me and thanks for sharing.
I think this video was awesome. Dude your great. And as for NOC, I think it could stand for "not ordinary cards" lol because they definitely aren't ordinary but I doubt that's it.
why thank you 😊
nothing only colour noc, really enjoy your vids, you should make more of these
bought your brick pass video and it's really helped me out! (absolute beginner here) looking forward to trying this out
amazing trick I think they are called noc's because it stands for knock because your new line is caled noc out and that kinda sounds like knock out
Noc stands for Nocturne, which is french and means nocturnal. Nocturnal is a deadra in Skyrim. The sister of Nocturnal is Azura. Thanks to her you get azura's star. This is an item which can trap souls like other soul gems, but unlike other soul gems, azura's star does not get destroyed, after using the soul. So you can use it as often as you want to. This concept is the same as from the NOC- Cards: You can buy them and use them as often as you want like regular cards, since they are not expensive.
Since this is without a doubt 100% correct, do I win now?
I think the first time I saw a Noc deck it was a black one. And I thought maybe it had to do with Noctis meaning night in Latin and how there was nothing but darkness and black on the backs.
Funny, now I think about it, the only Nocs I'm missing are the Black and Red (the two you used). I personally didn't like the old EPCC stocks. They did well with packet flourishes, but I didn't like performing with them. Thanks for listening to our feedback. Are the new ones on the crushed stock?
Thanks for the comment! They are not on the crushed stock. We made this version as basic as we could so we can keep this important price point. The NOC Outs are printed on Bee stock which is a little better IMO - but crushed stock is def an idea for other versions coming up!
Great video Alex! I wonder if NOC refers to 'knocking it out of the park' ? Which is what you do when you pull out a deck of cards as stylish as these.
ohhh snap haha nice
What I espected at least is, that the nocs are marked! Really nice markingsystem!
Love the channel, Alex! Quality content.
I think "Not Only Color" cuz they're marked too. Nice video
I'm in love with NOC
I am sure nobody figured it out yet, but it has nothing to do with colour. NOC=NUNS ON CRACK 😂😂😂
I do love the videos though. Keep up the great work
jk
Something like Never Overlook Color ;)
The little hint you gave about the pronunciation got me thinking...it could be something like"Not only color" or similar as seen in other comments, but I bet that it's more like NO.C. (i.e.two words) "Not(hing) colorful" maybe?? 😜
I really like these decks when I do a color changing deck trick
I think NOC stands for This Channel Is Great!
haha i'll take that! :p
Ok, so I'm assuming this isn't about accuracy but you are looking for a good storyline.. Here's my go at it.
I'd say that the first trick you ever saw was when a magician had you pick a card. He took that card and performed a miracle that blew you away as a young lad and that is the reason why you became a magician. This card happened to be the Nine Of Clubs and this has been your favorite card ever since... You love it so much that you even have it tattooed on your chest right next to your heart.. The irony that the 9 of clubs being so close to your 'heart'..
Lol so damn funny I today found ONE card on the street with its back up,ofc I had to turn it (before tried to guess,I gone with the J of clubs) and it was 9 of clubs.
Didnt know itwas Alex' favorite card, and that he has a tattoo of it on his chest.
Knowing that,it is actually VERY probable that NOC indeed stands for 9 of clubs
That would be a cool story for Daniel Madison though!
haha awesome story
Also, Nine Of Clubs, NOC...
u are awesome !!!
Love these cards.
I believe it is highly probable that it means Nine Of Clubs.
Love the channel so far! I'm going to guess NOC stands for "Notice Only the Card" for its simplistic, minimalist, non-districting back design.
Loving the channel man! Im guessing NOC means something like Not Only Cards but a long shot in an attempt to get my hands on some of those sweet looking black cards! Keep it up man, i know i really appreciate the time you put into this :-D Peace
Hey Alex- I've been having issues with my NOC deck order. I ordered some decks about a weeks ago, and have emailed House Of Playing Cards support 3 times since then with no response whatsoever. My order has just been sitting as "pre-shipment" for days. At the very least, professionalism would dictate a courtesy email in response to the three that I've sent in.
Hey! Just bought s pair of noc’s had no clue they were marked! I think it stands for normal operating cards haha
::takes out purple NOC deck, realizes marking was there whole time - FACE PALM:: I appreciate you sharing this as I was unaware my existing NOC decks had this marking system in it. I just bought one of each color of your new USPCC-printed decks and pumped to have them show up... yes I am one of "those people" who prefer USPCC feel.
Yeah, it seems most people prefer USPCC, which is fine, but I'm one of those weird ones that like the "cheaper" feel so much that I just bought a few decks of the Taiwanese off-brand version. They're called "PURE Playing Cards", or as I like to call them, the "NOC-offs" :) As a beginner, I just love that they bend so easily to my weak-ass hands, making a lot of cardistry moves and sleights easier, much like the Keeper decks. I can see why Alex prefers them, but it still makes sense that most people prefer the USPCC since it's what they're used to handling.
I'm thinking it's because they are "Knock" offs of the ESP trick you bought over 15 years ago
When will there be new blacks in stock? These cards are the BEST!
I love your work on effects Alex the way that you make them so interesting when it's just a simple force or a double lift. Keep doing what you do Alex. Hello from Greece! I think that NOC means "nothing, only colour" but I could be wrong of course.
Nice video, I like my NOC 3 more now lol maybe it stands for "never overlook color"
Hey Alex I love your vids. Keep up the work.
I think NOC stands for Not Only Color.
Mostly just wild guess because they might me more than meets the eye.
maybe it stands for Nine of Clubs cause its your fav card? or its No Other Color cuz it has only one color beside the white border :)
I'll make a wild guess and say that NOC is short for 'nocent' because it is such a badass deck.
Nice trick! I think noc stands for nine of clubs, because its tattood on you nody and its you favourite card
haha I don't have a 9 of clubs anywhere on me. I think thats Madison
Alex Pandrea damn, im getting magicians mixed up 😂😂😂
I'm sure it isn't what you mean, but I always think of a nock like on an arrow, maybe like it is a tool to help you with your craft? :) Great video, and a cool trick that I just tried with another marked deck I have! thanks AP!
It was a lonely night, the sound of standing trees was the only companion of me, as the moon walked away from my eyes, a lightning appeared from where she left and came to me, and gave me a deck of cards. Then everything went dark, and the whisper in the wind was all that remained... "Noooooooooooc'ss... "
I think it's short for nocturnal. When you dont pay attention, you dont see anything, but when you start concentrating, you can see the details of the night, or in this case, the details of the marked system. That makes the night from plain dark to a beautifull scenery
Great video Alex, all the best for you and the "new NOCs", could it mean "Not Only Cards"? #probablynot hahaha Great stuff, keep it coming!
Does it stand for, 'Not Only Colour'? Since despite them looking simple, there's quite a backstory to said cards. And thanks for the tutorials!
I bought them I love them . I struggle with a one handed shuffle, these cards make it easy
Hey, I've seen the NOCs before and where never really interested in them because I thought they would be like those other expencive cards and I thought I would just rather get those. But then I found out that there only like $5. So I'm guessing pretty soon I might pick up some decks to use while preforming. Anyway I think NOC means that these cards were a "Noc Out of the Park" If ya know what I mean.
I can't wait for more vids and keep up the good work :D
Nice efect buddy, love NOCs playing cards. And I think NOC stands for "No Ordinary Cards",maybe (?)
It could mean anything. Nocturnal is a good guess, from a lot of people. But since you say it's an obvious guess, i really don't know. But yeah. They're great cards! I'll say, "not only color"
Alex, do you want to have illustrations on your cards?
Naaaaah, Only Color.
Nice video :)
I think it means "No Odd Cards." Keep up the good work!
the video is really entertaining alex :D and i've been loving noc eversince i saw them, i think NOC stands for uhhh "Not Only Color"
I'm sure a lot of people googled what the NOC's stood for, and I'm sure many got "Nothing, Only Colour" from magicorthodoxy, so let's roll with that?
Few years ago I just thought it stood for No Ordinary Cards or Note On Corners, but hey it would be awesome if you made a video explaining the name and the story and all. But then again its fun to keep it a mystery :D
Anyways, loving the YT content! I like how more and more magicians are starting to upload YT videos! Have a great week!
I like the corner thing never thought of that 💪🏻
Just saw your IG story and found out the black NOCs are sold out! Any plans to restock?
can't wait for my brick to arrive :D
Going to go buy some nocs now.
Does it mean 'not other cards'?
By your story, it could be Not Our Creation.
Btw.. I like the EPCC NOCs... I wonder how the new USPCC cards will be.
I like EPCC too - the quality for me was great but thats just my opinion. USPCC have gotten much better and the NOC Outs are on Bee stock which is very good
Alex Pandrea That'll be great. I ordered inspire and some new NOCs but will be delivered at a friend in the US.
I'm meeting kickboxer Holzken in 2 weeks and want him to sign NOC out decks. Won't have them here by then because this friend will send them later on.
Bought some orange NOCs now to be signed. NOC outs would have been more cool haha :)
Nice love your videos
I got the signature nocs ,which I heard are fully marked. Where can I learn the marking system?
ok I got a ? for you Alex. I have the red Noc V3 and my court cards are standard. Do the new original Noc have the same court cards as the V2 cuz I really wanted the different color face cards
I believe NOC Stands for Not Ordinary Cards.
Just ordered my nocs wahoo
So I have a red noc deck (I believe it is the V3 one) with the red back and black line between it and the borders. Does corners of the red part actually matter? I didn't see any pattern in them really.
Could stand for noctem , latin for night
Noc= knock out cards......hook it up kid I'm broke and needs these...# Respect!
Alex u just hit 1000000 subs
Do the summer nocs light blue version have this system?
Just bought 7 packs..
White,black,blue,green,pink,purple and red....
Hope they are as good as you say they are...
Thanks... and get more inventory of the "SOLD OUT" cards.... wouldve bought more.
Noc: nocturnal Oklahoma cats. Once Alex was doing a show in Oklahoma after he finished it was very late. He suddenly was lost do to the darkness he walks down an alley where he finds evil nocturnal Oklahoma cats that attack Alex. He sees colors before he passes out blue red yellow green and black
I never been to Oklahoma I don't think :p
Alex Pandrea lol
NOC obviously stands for "Nudes On Camera" 😂
Actually, when Kevin, from penguin , and Alex were blitzed one night the came upwith this idea for an unorthodox type of playing card. Since upc was taken they decided to call the noc Not Orthodox Cards. It just kinda stuck. This is true . . . even though most people think it means Nothing On Cover. Thats lame.
I think noc stands for "no clue" playing cards because so many people owning them have no idea that they are marked
NOC is the Name Of (the) Cards. Obviously that must be true! If i won't win the decks, would you let me win express shipping to Europe, please?
Because i've seen guesses below which I would have said, I'll say something different and say that NOC is just "CON" spelled backwards
I got super exited because you responded to my comment. Then I accidentally pushed delete. Now it's all gone. Sorry man. Thanks for responding!
Nice video, still it is hard to see the mark on the video, but I hope one day I can see them in in real life
About the NOC, I can't think of a good or funny story (a language thing, I guess) but somehow "name one card" is sticking around.
Not only color because many people don't think much of the simplistic design and don't know they are actually marked.
I'm going to go with New Original Cards. Named to distinguish your cards from all the others out there. Option two: No One Cares. It's just so cool and affordable that no one cares what it's called!
When you made the first prototype for the box you didn' have found a name for the cards already and so when you printed the box, in the place where the name should be you simply wrote Noc (Name Of the Cards)... you than liked it and so it reamined till today
never heard of the NOC playing cards only Bicycle cards for tricks. Dose NOC do a full range of cards including the blanks and strip decks
I got a few noc pro. Man your cards are perfect ! Nice handling, nice look (burgundy red), look so honest (but in fact no). Man theses are great card
NOC, "no other choice"..... meaning you had no choice. Make a living with magic , there was no other option.
Learning so much from your videos. Can't wait to get some NOC cards. NOC= nice opulent cards.
The are called NOC because they are Not Ordinary Cards because their simplicity stands out. (Also they are marked)
Hey Mr. Pandrea does NOC stand for Nothing only color. BTW I got this from magicorthodoxy.
Congratulations on the 10K subs! Well according to me NOC stands for "Not ordinary cards" I'm just saying what everyone is saying but it's difficult to think about anything else!😬
Enjoying the new vid series! As for the NOC's, not sure but how 'bout Not Overly Complicated.
I think, that NOC stands for Not only colour. BTW noc means night in my language, which is pretty funny :D
NOC...Nante Omoshiroi Card
I'm sure that it is not true
But I'm Japanese and I guess in Japanese
It means " what interesting cards!"
NOC... HMMM Something Cards... Maybe Natures Only Cards.
