Probably my favorite version of the Biddle I've seen. I prefer the idea of handing the spectator the first half of the deck then putting the rest of the cards on top. Holding the cards distracts them a bit but also welcomes them into the performance as your trust them with your props. Then they can spread the cards at the end and reveal for themselves. Loved the mentalism aspect, tho. I've never seen that connected to the Biddle trick
This is my go to impromptu effect! A nice justification for placing the packet on the table is to explain to them that you have no idea what the card is, but you have an idea of where it is. “I know it’s not on top so I can take away a few of these cards. I know it’s not on bottom so I can remove these as well”. Not only does this make sense, but you’re putting cards on the table for a reason. Just a little touch I’ve found effective after performing this thousands of times. There will be those people who ask you why you’re putting down half of the deck. Anyway, nice tutorial, Alex!
Excellent tutorial, thanks so much! One thing I added is, after I know their card and it's "lost" in the deck, I cut the deck and "psychically" figuring out which half their card is in, and put that half face down on the table. I tell them I'm narrowing it down, but really I'm justifying why I put half the cards down. I then go on to do the 5 cards out-jogged, and go on from there.
I like to go trough the deck in the beginning and then put down half saying: i dont think your card i here. This give me a reason to put half of the cards down. I think thats a good Idea. Try it. Its fun!!!
Nice job Alex, as always. Really enjoy your videos, and I appreciate how much importance you place on all "the little things" that go into making a good trick great.
The Idea that the spectators helps you is golden. Love it. Thats great thinking. Your not mr. Magic. Its like were doing it together mind set. Great!!!
Fantastic trick!!! Very powerful and I love the fact that you can add so many of your own touches and so many variations. Thank you for all your content. Appreciated more than you know!!!!
Why didn't I think of using a key card and letting the spectator shuffle the deck? For ppl watching this video I'm 100% sure they know what the Biddle trick is. But that's a great subtlety that you've shared. Absolutely going to use it the next time I show the Biddle trick to someone
I do this trick in way so I secretly control their card on the top and then I split the deck in 2 and I do magicians force to make them pick the top half where is the card and I take take top 5 cards and show it to them like that.
Love this trick so much that I have to comment a third time. You could at the end if the card was force let it appear anywhere by using a duplicate. Just wanted to add that.
You know that feeling when you hate someone because that someone does something you just like so much ?... well, either you know that feeling or not that's how I feel it right now... And be sure i'm still totally a fanboy of those Pandreic moves. Oh well, thanks once again, sir!
Can you think of a justification for only setting half the deck down? Other than that this is a very good trick. Never mind. I figured it out. Do the biddle move with the full deck and set it down. Then do a turnover pass to reveal the facedown card in the middle. Feels very natural.
heeey great video but what do you do when your forced card is after the shuffle one of the last of the deck since you said you want to out jog it second
Hi, the elmsley count for the most part is used to hide the third card but the point is your returning the first card to the pile your counting from and just not pushing over two cards, basically your not trying to conceal a card just trying to make it appear there is an extra one. Hope that makes sense
Amazing Tutorial as always, Alex! I struggle with a case, where the spectator card - when I out-jag them - is at the bottom of the deck (faces up) when I do it. As I should have it as the second card out of the 5, it would be either strange or even impossible to make him the second card. How would you solve such a case? Thanks for the amazing tutorials!
1: it's a really rare case tho, so don't worry dude 2: well just take the 5 cards (with theirs) and since their card is not in the correct position, literally move it. Grab the cards as you say like "i dunno, it's harder than it looks like ya know" as you say this move the 5 cards in your hands placing their card second. Or you could just cut the deck a few times by swing cutting as you say "al right the devk is shuffled" 3: yes it took me a year to answer you (if you respond I'll be like really amazed)
I always use this gag: "Did I ask your name?" when they reply: Susan or John I say: "I didn't want to know your name, I just wanted to know if I asked."
hey man if you are eager to improve your visual magic i am creating a course on how to improve your visual magic ..my 2 year experience and what i learnt from other magicians check it out

@James Watts nice!! A nice touch would be for them to cut the deck. Then pretend to sense which half it's in. A bonus effect!
I learn this from DVD How to do street magic by Brad Christian.
Such a great nostalgia.
Btw thanks alex this tutorial.
Amazing
I do this trick all the time!
It’s amazing :D
Excellent tutorial, thanks so much!

I do it with a twist, the card is shy and disappear itself when you take it.
As BEBEL does it (It' s in french but ... Magic is universal)
I'll have to use this trick actually, seen it before but never ended up using it somehow
thx for video Alex
Yo yo yo guys, watch Alex kill it with his version of the biddle!!!!
How have I not seen Biddle before? I likey. I handle cards like a walrus, but I think I can pull this off.
Cool. Awesome 😎
That was awesome
Nice !!! Back to Back ..... Loved it very much.... ( Want some more of these vids )
By the way Lots of love from Bangladesh. ...
You can biddle the count instead of using the emsly count as well.
Good job

heeey great video but what do you do when your forced card is after the shuffle one of the last of the deck since you said you want to out jog it second
Frigging awesome
Can you please make a tutorial for the "think of a card prediction" thnx 😊
Muy bueno, felicidades crakkk
Cool!
How does the part where he counts 4 as 5 work? I looked up tutorials for the Elmsley count and it only shows how to hide a card.
Hi, the elmsley count for the most part is used to hide the third card but the point is your returning the first card to the pile your counting from and just not pushing over two cards, basically your not trying to conceal a card just trying to make it appear there is an extra one.
Hope that makes sense
The only thing i would change is to put their card 3rd or 4th just to be more difficult to see the layer difference when you make the move
Awesome
*thanks Alex for making my wish and showing some street magic in ur last vid u really care about ur fans thanks man!*
