Patrick is an absolute genius. What an amazing pond, not only for people but to make sure the wildlife is not only incorporated, but to have their own areas.
I have learned more about wetlands and nature from your videos than anywhere else. Have yall ever thought about approaching schools about providing small ponds to their campus? Maybe a small pondless waterfall to elementary schools, small pond to intermediate schools and pond and stream to high schools. I live down the street from a science magnet intermediate school. It would be amazing if the students would be able to build one of your ponds at their school. They would learn about the wetlands and whole ecosystem in a fun, interactive way. Not every kid can afford a pond in their back yard, but it would be nice if they could be exposed to one at school.
Thank you for the revisit to this beautiful and one-of-a-kind water feature! I enjoyed the videos of the build, but it is so satisfying to see it as it matures and the fun that it is bringing to the population‼️👍👏💖🙋♀️🇨🇱
If community pools were community recreation ponds I would actually go. It would be interesting to see cost comparison for a standard pool to same size recreation pond since many if not most community/city projects come down to the bottom line.
I want to see all the gross neglected water ways in towns around Australia cleaned up and turned into something like this 👍 its hot here give the council an actual job to do.
The pond liner lasts 20 years how do you change it would that destroy the eco system and plants. Do the filters systems need to be changed long term, or is it all sand and stone.
Thank you for showing us this - and also linking to "budget" friendly options. It's breathtaking! Showing what's possible goes a long way toward convincing reluctant family members of the benefits of the aquascape lifestyle🙂.
What’s going on Gregg loving your pond is always. Your company is phenomenal. We’re just watching OFR about to have you guys go out and help them out with that back Koi pond. What is a much larger wetland had some gravel for the indoor pool❤
Where does the water come from? What is the power and maintenance cost? Is it possible to create something like this, without a river, that is self sustaining?
What is the electricity consumption per day in KWH on this RECON pond? Also what is the flow rate per hour and pumps used? Can you please give some stats. thankyou!
@@wildchildsweetlife2429 seems like it would be so much safer than having wet kids/adults running around on concrete to jump into the pool, etc. let alone the chlorine/chemical maintenance required.
I want to know what the approximate cost of this project was. Or what would a similarly sized project likely approximately cost? In the U.S. Just an idea or price range would be great.
This is what Shaq needs next, he now has big and bigger, it's just a matter of time before he wants biggest. Amazing lake, I don't think you can still call this a pond.
🎉that is awesome that they have that for everyone to go to to cool off...🎉I have a pond but it needs help bad... still have fish though....🎉.. Jonjon...
Beautiful! He said there's snakes of course. Well yeah, probably some of the first to arrive. Why I don't swim in lakes . I have a fear of snakes. My problem, I deal with it by swimming in a pool. Heard of snakes being in pools before, but at least you can see them. I've never had a snake in my pool. Only seen a few around the yard in the many years I've lived in my home. This is amazing. It looks so natural an on a huge scale. Thums up to all whom made it possible.
Patric's been nailing the australian water ways feeling. absolutely beautiful how they are creating these natural systems for everyone to cool off in. In the perfect world everyone has this everywhere
Want to go there! It is so beautiful, and great tutorial. My only comment is, can't you make the pumps less conspicuous? I know they have to be accessible, but they are just so rugged looking and hard. A stark contrast to the beautiful lake.
This is so beautiful and looks as though it has been there forever. Love the wetlands idea. Great job Aquascape Australia. Will definitely check it out next time we are in QLD. 😊😍

Amazing. I grew up swimming in Lake Michigan in the Chicago area. It wasn’t very clean then but I loved being in a huge natural body of water. I’ve traveled all over America and always look for a spot to swim. When I lived in California I had a pool but a working eco swim pond would have been way cooler and easier on the eyes and skin. Love these videos and I’m getting ideas for my retirement land and its development.🎉
All they have to for Penrith Beach is build a one acre wetland and 100kw solar array for the pump and landscape it and itll be an actual beautiful world renowned project 100% green yada yada
Lost me at "we have snakes"😂😂

What a wonderful design and ecology! Great Job to all of those who helped design and build this tremendous water feature!

Awesome and amazing!
MANN OHHH MANNNN, I WOULD HAVE HATED TO HAVE TO PAY THAT WATER BILL, SHOOOOOOT😂😂
Impressive. Wish we had these around the US.
Feel free to make one outside my door! Beautiful!
You can always count on the CAC team in Australia to create some jaw dropping ponds. In this case, a freaking lake!
So amazing!
What about wandering crocs and snakes? How do keep them out?
Brisbane and surrounds arent croc country
By eating them. 😂

pond liners can last longer than 20 years. With the lining covered up from the sun, it lasts much longer. My 20 year old liner if going on 30 years.

How much it cost to build something this size?.

I'm going to have one of these in my very large backyard one day!
Post video when you do it please.

I wonder how much this all costs, such a good initiative in dry areas!
Shhhhhh! Make sure nobody tells the crocodiles!
So good to see something from Australia, I've swum in this one, so refreshing!
I want this in my backyard but, um, I live in an apartment. Will it fit in a closet?
Wow😍 incredible work in Australia. Respect
Is there a video on you going over concrete vs liner ponds?
We have a few, ua-cam.com/video/olkkqy2tbyM/v-deo.html
Thais is an Awesomely Epic water feature. And it is so Natural looking 💙❤️💙
without telling the price for this type of build can you give a fork for someone that want something like this or 1/2 of that size? thx
By Far, this is the Biggest Swim Pond ever‼️😊❤️🇵🇭
Greg,
Looking at replicating something like this in my home town in Missouri. Very curious on specs and estimated costs
Depending on access 3 to 5 million
Wpukd love to know the sort of cost it was to establish this, don't understand why more people don't do this, amazing work in a beautiful location!!
I read about $2.6M which is totally worth it in my opinion

$3 million plus Australian dollars to build today so roughly US$2 million

my sentiments exactly. They have the Florida problem but on a grander scale

Thanks for sharing this! 💯 I have a wetland area that would be perfect to develop into a natural pond.
Imaging if a croc goes in there without them knowing
There are absolutely zero crocs that far south in Australia. They are only found in the extreme far north.
@@-paulmpthey’re actually regularly found in the Mary river not far from here.
