I can trust Dazzle Dry to be dry enough for the talent to get into wardrobe after their nails are done with virtually no problems! Bravo Dazzle Dry!
Using proper terms is important for understanding. So the spirit of understanding, the cuticle is the dead skin on the nail left there when the nail grows. It is not attached to anything but the nail. So you do remove the cuticle. The Proximal nail Fold is living skin and a guardian barrier. (I didn’t see this gal removing the PNF, but it should never be clipped or removed. Clipping and abusing of this living tissue will cause it to grow thicker due to the body trying to protect itself. You can also get bacterial infections.) Water is the most damaging chemical there is to nails. It is best to avoid exposing the nails to water as much as possible. Obviously, we have to wash our hands and it’s good to clean under the nails with a gentle brush once a day. A lot of gals I know wear nitrile gloves with hair ties around the wrists in the shower. Takes getting use to and it can be hard to tell when your hair is clean, but totally worth it. No way should a manicurist be soaking nails in water. If the manicurist wants to soft up the PNF, they can use oil instead of water. Cuticle remover is acidic and dissolves live as well as dead skin. It also stays active until it is rinse off with water. So you do have to use water, however, a wet cloth or a spray bottle will remove cuticle remover. If the Dazzle Dry cuticle remover requires soaking in water, I would recommend a different brand. Never, ever buff the top of the natural nail with anything! Buffing will remove layers of nails. Most people have up to 50, so not a lot. It doesn’t take much buffing to remove a couple of layers. The only exception to this is if you have peeling nails. Then you can use a nano file to gently remove only the nail that is peeling off. You avoid the healthy nail. According to Doug Schoon (Google him if you want), a chemist and nail research scientist that use to be principal of research and development at CND, nail products have gotten so advanced, most don’t need buffing.

@@jode68 You are welcome! I am a picker. If there is skin to pick at, I’ll either pick at it or obsessively think about picking at it. What greatly helps me is using a chemical cuticle remover like My Bliss Kiss’s Simply Smooth or Sally Hansen Instant cuticle remover once a week to remove the dead skin stuff on the nail. Once you start keeping the live (proximal nail fold and lateral folds-the skin on the sides of the nail) skin around the nails very hydrated and your skin recovers from being picked at, you won’t have much to pick at. It does take a little time to get to the stage where your skin isn’t peeling and stuff, but you definitely can get there. Keep in mind that the picking and any other abuse will have caused your body to grow touched, thicker skin. So it will take time to soften this skin up. Just stick with it. Ana Seidel from My Bliss Kiss recommends putting the nail oil pens in places all over your house. That way there will be one close to you to use when you think of it. Aim for applying it as often as possible. Absolutely after washing your hands and any other exposure to water. When you have lose or shredding skin, clip it off very carefully, but do it right away before you can peel it. I can’t ever let lose skin sit or I’ll start picking. I have to gently get rid of it right away and the right way. Another thing that helps me is to carry a travel kit. I bought one from My Bliss Kiss, which is one source of my nail care information, but you can make your own. Carry tools you need to take care of nail/skin emergencies. Things I carry are infant size nail clippers (you can’t clip off a bunch of live skin with infant size clippers), a fine grit nail file, oil, and I bought a small, 5 ml empty nail polish bottle and out some ridge filling base coat in it. I wear polish, but if it chips off the tips, I’ll start picking the remaining polish. Picking polish off the nail is bad and stands a good chance of take a little nail with it. If I touch up where it chipped with the base coat, I won’t pick at it. Then when I get home, I touch up with the colored polish. Good luck with your nail journey!!
Yes you can 😊We suggest using it like you would any other lacquer, just be sure to apply Prep, 2 applications of Base Coat, 2 applications of lacquer then sponge. Allow to dry for a few minutes and seal with generous coat of Top Coat 💅🏼
Why use all the lotion and oil beforehand? Seems like it is creating extra work to then remove all of that before painting. I hydrate cuticles everyday and reserve the intense moisture treatments for in between manicures.
I've used this product twice in the past month. My manicure has chipped after just 2 days. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong? I follow the instructions to the T and watch the video as I'm doing it.
Same. Put it on at night and when I woke up it looked like shit. Even capped the free edge. My other polish lasts better than this... love the fast drying though.
@@Maria-sc5jo they get great reviews. This shouldn't be happening. A local salon does the Dazzle Dry manicure. I am curious if it would last longer if done in a salon.
@@heatherlundquist-buffalo I thought it wasn’t good to cut cuticles. That’s a state law in IL that nail techs are not supposed to cut cuticles. I got an infection from a nail shop like that.

I am a bit disappointed in the buffing segment. Buffing in not necessary. The product works well without buffing. Every manicure being buffed would be thinning the natural nail thus taking away its strength. Otherwise absolutely love the Dazzle Dry product.
I used without buffing and it held for a week on my super thin nail plates. I was thoroughly impressed given that I can't generally wear polish and I'm a manicurist so I'm in remover alot.
I’ve seen a tech use a carbide drill bit before as natural nail prep before this application. I prefer Vinylux. I’ve used this product years ago and just don’t like all the steps involved. Beautiful colors though. Good for new techs ! :)

@@jode68 I know she said no alcohol but I cleanse w it. Two base coats. Wait til it looks mat; 2 color. 2 top. My clients get from 2 to 5 weeks

Didn't know the Nail Prep has hydrolyzed wheat protein (which contains gluten). Good to know, but not good for those who have to be gluten free.

I agree with what you're saying. But a very gentle buffer was used. Also ONLY the new growth should be buffed. Not the entire nail each time b
