  • Join me for the premiere and I'll show you my updated manicure process that I've been doing for the past year using ‪@DazzleDryOfficial‬.
    Today's video is a bit different for my channel, but I get a lot of questions about my nails and today I'm sharing what I've been using since 2022. I can't go back to any other brand after seeing the results for the past 13 months! This is a more expensive brand, with a lot of steps, which may not be for everyone! But I will not go back to regular polish. The results are that good.
    Note: You do not need two coats of Transform! Since filming this video, I just do one now. It's plenty to get that very smooth look!
    Dazzle Dry has changed my nail health and manicure life. Check out the brand here: bit.ly/czdazzle

    I LOVE Anna. Have followed her since January. Love that she knows the science and reasons behind what she teaches. Once you know about the terms "proximal and lateral folds", hearing folks call them "cuticle" really makes you squeemish. As a beginner at doing self-mani's in January, I found I liked the suggestion to pain your thumb last on each hand. It really helps me not worry smudging it on on my other hand when i'm painting. You have really nice long nail beds. Beautiful!!

    Cathy, THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU for introducing us to The Salon Life and to the Dazzle Dry System! I have NEVER been able to keep nail polish from chipping drastically after one or two days, even with a base and top coat. That says a lot…I’m 69.
    I tried The Dazzle Dry System and have had the polish on for 6 days and no chipping! The OTT light is great to use when I do my nails, I craft almost every day and I intentionally did not use gloves when I clean just to test out this system. It works like a charm.
    I have also been keeping up with using oil on my nail everyday and it’s really helps the dryness I used to have with the skin around my nails.

    I’ve watched this tutorial several times… I’m obsessed. 🤩. It’s so relaxing to watch and listen to you. You’re a great teacher. I used your links to order a full kit with the gorgeous blue called Checkmate plus your two favorite pink colors in the minis. I did my first manicure tonight and I think it looks great… like a gel manicure. I think it’s the two coats of Transform ridge filler. I’m hoping I will get a week’s worth of wear. I’m giving up gel nails because they haven’t been lasting 2 weeks for me and I can’t repair them until my next appointment. A regular manicure, even if professionally done, lasts 3-4 days. The very best part of this system is that 5 minutes after the top coat my nails were totally dry and hardened. 🎉🎉🎉. Thank you so much for sharing. This may be a game changer for me.

    Love the walkthrough of your process, Cathy! I just recently started using DD and I am in love with the results. I was a long-time O&J user, and I was excited to take the plunge into DD for the chip-resistance. I actually like the additional steps compared to having to wait what felt like forever to feel sure my nails were dry. I haven't tried the transform yet, but I am definitely going to give it a go now that I've seen it in action!

    • @czdesign
      @czdesign  11 місяців тому

      See, that was the thing… i just got tired of waiting SO long for the O&J to fully dry, especially with the pale pinks, which I had to do three coats to get them opaque. Plus, I had this issue in the summer… where no matter what i did, the manis with O&J were not smooth. So odd. I really did know how to use their polish!

    I only just found your channel, and timing may have been perfect! I was about ready to give in and just go for gel manicures (even add extensions) something I swore I would never go back to, but I am so tired spending the time doing my manicure only to have it chip within a day.. I'm all about the health of my nails, and started doing my own manicures during covid, (but still enjoy my bi-monthly pedicures:) looking forward to trying this product!

    • @czdesign
      @czdesign  5 місяців тому +1

      Yes! It is seriously an amazing product, at least for me! It takes a bit of time to get the hang of it… you know, having to warm up the base coat at first seems like just one more step, but… the lack of chips is crazy! My daughter just did her first Dazzle Dry mani and was shocked at the results. I will very likely not paint with another brand again. OH, and it does not stain your nails at all!

    Ive been using DD for about 4 months and while I love it, my mani has not last as long as I'd hope for..longest has been about 3 days maximum before the chipping starts and that is with some capping of free edge, not for a long speech here but just want to say THANK YOU for creating this video because I was considering going back to gel which I dreaded the thought of doing, I will keep this video saved for reference being it has definitely been extremely detailed and helpful to see what Ive been doing wrong❤🌼🧡😊😊

    Finally got to watch this video after I got done playing around with my fairy/bonsai tree. 😉 I can vouch for Dazzle Dry. I can be impatient and this stuff is awesome. I do also like Londontown Lakur and Olive and June but I do find they have a strong odor compared to Dazzle Dry. Biggest difference I noticed was exactly what you mentioned, no yellowing of the nails. I also love Transform and use that with each manicure. I'm jealous of your collection! I've been "dipping" too & contracted a fungus, so now my "nails", or what's left of some of them are all free of anything! But I have 3 nails that are so cracked/split that it will take months to grow out plus the fungus nail that looks beyond gross...hoping it recovers as it's nasty. All very upsetting. DD looks really interesting and promising...down the road. Actually, I like the clear look and will probably not add color polish...stick with the basecoat/transform...and I guess a top coat?

I won’t have car in Vegas so it would need to be close to strip but I’ll definitely check around. One idea for you is try a polish corrector pen. I used years ago. I've been looking for a “gym/weight lifting friendly” nail system that's not gel nails. This might be it for me! I polish ny nails 1-2 times a week and I always worry about messing up my nails at the gym even though I keep them short.

    • @czdesign
      @czdesign  Місяць тому

      Well, I do all my own house cleaning, etc. and I rarely get chips! Although I do wear gloves when I'm washing dishes lol! It's really durable and you may only have to paint them once a week. My manicures last easily seven days and I get bored before I actually have to change my color.!

    I finally got a chance to finish watching your tutorial. I have ordered the system, although I started with the mini kits. Thanks for this. I do want to encourage you to use a paper towel or something to dab off your clean-up brush. The acetone is a harsh chemical and your skin is your largest organ absorbing all the acetone dabbed on it. I just worry about that.

    I have been painting my own nails since I was in 9th grade. So for a while now. My biggest frustration is bubbles. I'm going to give Dazzle Dry a try. Do you need to shake the bottles to mix the color? When you do your clean up with acetone, does it ruin the polish if you accidentally touch the brush to your painted and drying nail?

    • @czdesign
      @czdesign  11 місяців тому +1

      If you let the bottles sit for a LONG time, then yes, I would shake but most of them do not separate! And it usually does NOT mess up what I've already painted. Especially towards the end. I am always pleasantly surprised if i accidentally touch my clean up brush to the polish and it stays put! I get almost NO bubbles. And if bubbles start to appear, it means you need to add Revive to the polish. I just learned that from the director of education for DD!

  • @silvanahabedian
    @silvanahabedian 11 місяців тому

    A little tip…if you see bubbles in your Top Coat, it may need Revive. Also having good overhead lighting will help you see any air bubbles so that you can burst them while the Top Coat is still wet. ✨

    • @czdesign
      @czdesign  11 місяців тому +1

      Silvana??? It's YOU? I feel honored! Okay, good to know. I hardly ever put Revive in my top coat and yes to the overhead lighting. I normally do it in my bathroom under a clip on lamp light.
      This brand has changed my life. Plus, I have watched all of your videos, as well, back when I was first starting out in the summer of 2022.

    Having familial tremors, I can do my own manicure if I go slow and stick to clear. If I want color, someone else needs to apply it. Your nails look lovely after the Transform. Could I use a Top Coat after this step and call it a day, or does the Top Coat only work with polish?

    Hi Cathy I bought the small sizes of Dazzle Dry to try and it is as good as everyone says. The only problem I have with it is the price. • @czdesign
      @czdesign  11 місяців тому

      I know they do sales from time to time! It is pricey, but I will tell you, the stuff does last. At the small neighborhood salon I went to a few times, it's $60 for a mani/pedi. And that is for one. So I figure, the system really does pay for itself, and it lasts longer than a salon mani.

      No, they are not related. And yes, I used Olive & June for a good four years and loved it, but I did get a bit tired of some of the issues I was having. Mostly chipping, and un-smooth manicures in the summer, which sounds weird, but the polish didn't settle well on my hands in warmer months. Maybe it was my body was too hot! lol. And it stained the heck out of my nails.
