This is a great 👍 video and I enjoy hearing the coyotes in the background it would’ve been a great surprise if a couple of dd40ax was cut into the middle of the consist or at the end as helper units and I will be subscribing
Scott, I like the audio you get from your microphone. The wail from the lead Ge locomotives in very effective and about halfway through you can hear the EMD helpers afar and the wheel squeal from the wagons immediately in front of your position. Great video. Mike
Thanks Scott - I'm well, dodging the heat as our Australian summer passes. As I said earlier, keep up those images please so the 'starved viewers of your work' can see more of the Montana and west rail regions.
+Dave O'Callaghan Thanks Dave. I should have waited to get the head end there. After MRL extended the siding you see here last year, the view up at the top cutting is now much clearer and the old Iron Ridge tunnel can be seen too. Next time !
Beautiful Scott! Did we get to this spot, looks familiar? Will send you an email soon, have been flat out at home since I got back. Cheers mate. Gregg.
+FishplateFilms Yes we were here Gregg. Remember when we had to wait for a train to move as we were stuck at the crossing? I believe another train was having air problems and the one at Austin was stuck right in front of us? That's it buddy !! Good to hear from you.
Boy that is some whine there...and what is that... That didn't appear to be so prominent on the other vids you have. Plus the helpers sound as bad as they ever are and without the wicked whine of the leaders. Still great stuff and are loving to see more Sir.
+Todd Brown Thanks Todd. More than likely that is a bad traction motor on the leading Loco. You can hear something similar on my video "SD70MAC led coal train climbs Mullan Pass" only on an EMD.
+Jonathan Savoy The guys in the cab apparently have lost their hearing by now or...just go with it as the railroad has to get those loads over the passes and out to Spokane or points beyond...Imagine this skull splitting sound in the tunnels....its just nuts...
A fantastic video, GE and EMD sharing the load. In Europe, the can`t believe these amazing trains are every day occurrences.
+shnimmuc Thank you shnimmuc. I appreciate you commenting
That GE 44 sounded sick, but those SD70's made up for it! Nice video, Scott, thanks!
Awesome sound, this train! Well done.
+Nicola636128 Thanks Nicola

Great catch my friend.
+chris shoulders Thanks Chris
great video.
Fantastic . Just a bit short is all . Would have liked to see the head end through the top cutting
Thanks Bud. "mail on way".

+Scott Hiddelston could be the rotor rubbing it in a way that makes it whine like that but I agree that the sounds is definitely off a great deal

Thank god for earplugs lol I'm sure the cab is muffled out from the engine though but with that whine you definitely would hear it!
