Several coal trains and intermodal trains are seen at the huge railroad bridge in Kenova, West Virginia. This video is Part 2 for the recent video posted a week or so ago. It was hot on this day which was the first day of summer. Don't miss the special outro with additional trains that are passing on the bridge and don't miss the Live Action Pets.
Filmed Friday, June 21, 2024 in 1080p with 60fps. Thanks for watching!

A sight for sore eyes, an empty coal train going back to reload. We in the UK saw the very last load of coal run to the very last coal fired power station at Ratcliffe on Soar this week. The power plant is on standby mode until final closure at the end of September. End of an era! Coal was what led to the building of the railways and now for us it's all over.
Makes it even more enjoyable to see that 110 car train rumbling along. Definitely envious of you seeing all that black gold still going by rail.
Thanks for another video at one of my favourite bridges. Just a pity N&W 611 wasn't on the front! Can't ask for everything though.
I suspect that the UK will one day regret the decision to abandon the complete use of coal. Time will tell....
Wow, that is sad but that is where we are headed also. To me it seems like we might have more coal moving this year than in the past few years. I love seeing the coal trains. I hope you saw that video I posted the other day of a coal train going over that bridge with 2 DPUs in the middle and one on the end. Anyway, thanks for watching
@@kenster865 I suspect the UK will benefit its decision to free up railroad use for more profitable commercial applications.
The UK is going coal free to save the world from global warming 🤣🤣 they think the rest of the world is with them one tiny little island is going to save China 🇨🇳 Russia 🇷🇺 India 🇮🇳 and The USA
From floods and fires 🤔😇
Wow! Excellent catching all the trains in Kenova, West Virginia, I like them, they're awesome, @JawTooth, thank you very much and have a wonderful weekend.
Thank you too!
My aunt died today, and this is the first thing that influenced me to feel a little normal. Thank you
I heard that sound loud and clear! What an awesome video with the coal train passing underneath itself!! Well done my friend 🧡
Start the video Mr. Tooth...
Thank you very much!
Come across the bridge steady but slow. Then with your partner to the left you must go. Keep banking that turn and go.back below. Add for all the waiting fans you gave a great show. The national square dance convention is in Milwaukee this weekend so here's to calling in the coal train. Thanks for that nice detailed map including the coal handling terminals they go to. I forgot to thank you for the walkthrough on that bridge under the CSX but it'll be hard to walk next to your girlfriend hand in hand as it is narrow. Your shot today looking across it indicates there were probably two or three more tracks Once Upon a Time. Great domestic Intermodal plus the mixed Freight had its boxcars. While it had TTX flats and Center beams as well as autoracks yet NOT a single TBOX boxcar. Excellent video now back to the coàl trains
thanks for watching and commenting Paul!
Now THAT'S a trestle!
Wait till you see the one I filmed that goes from Rock Island to Davenport. Built in 1895 over the Mississippi River. I filmed a train going over it and I filmed the bridge up close
22:26 Clickety-Clack stops when they hit the welded rail! I thought something was wrong with my sound it got so quiet! A very unusual catch and another classic JT production. Thanks for enduring the heat for us!!
Great video JawTooth
As always 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Thanks again!
That thing sticking out of that coal hopper is one of the braces on the inside this broke.
Thanks for the info!
JT you need to get you a straw hat to wear. You will be surprised how cool that thing will keep you and also get that blue gel pack that’s made to fit around your neck and you throw it in the freezer at night and take it with you the next day and put it around your neck and it will keep you cool, but anyway, my friend another awesome video and as always you stay safe out there and watch your back and we’ll see you on the next one. Oh and have a good weekend too my friend.
That is definitely a great hotspot to watch trains plus it was hot that day
Huge hugs for JAWTOOTH
Awesome coal trains great locations great video thanks Brian
Wow. That is quite the steel land bridge.
I would love to recreate this on an N scale track!!! I love you JawTooth as family!!! Keep up the amazing work!!!
Absolutely beautiful. You are perfecting your art.
Thank you for the fabulous video, JT! I enjoyed all the trains and the pets. They never disappoint. Thank you again, and we'll chat soon. 😃😃😃😃😃❤❤❤❤❤
Thanks! More gas money
PLz keep the ❤'s coming, they mean a lot coming from the *VERY Best* Rail Fan channel of all of #UA-cam 👌
Wow, thats a huge help! I will use that on my next trip. Thanks for the big help on the gas fund I really appreciate it! thanks again!
@@JawTooth WC 😊
That coal trains looks like it is pulling up hard.. I don't know what that unusual sound was. Wow!😮 What a long train over that bridge.😊You always give good information..We always learn something from you. Always sweet fur babies at play. Enjoyed this very much. Thanks Mr JT❤😊
This is a great Part 2 video from your 21 June 2024 trip to Kenova, West Virginia, Jaw Tooth! That was a clever idea on your part to go up on the trestle when the empty coal train stopped on the trestle before proceeding. You were able to capture the last part of the train as it finished crossing the trestle. Then you were able to capture the same train as it headed in a westerly direction under the bridge. I was pleased to see that you and the other railfans who were in Kenova on 21 June 2024 were standing in the shade as you captured the trains going across the trestle at the end of the video. (30 June 2024 at 1848 CGT)
I realised this is just down the road from Huntington! I visited family there in 2012 and went out preaching in Huntington. I was always surprised at how willing the people were to talk about the Bible compared to my home in England, although the noise of the coal trains running right through the residential areas sometimes made it a challenge haha
that is awesome! I think the people in this part of the state are very friendly. There's not as much coal moving through Huntington today as compared to 2012. Thanks for watching!
Awesome video. When you moved up on the embankment, that was a good spot! It really showed the length of the train and the bridge. I hate the summer, easy too hot! Thanks for the video Brian stay well roll on and stay cool
Thanks for the gas money again Mark! I really appreciate it and might be putting it to use tomorrow. I am on the fence about going to Davenport, Iowa to film the Canadian steam train. I keep going back and forth but I think I am going. Anyway thanks again!
JAWTOOTH ROCKS FOREVER!!!
Great over under action.
8:50 am Thank you JT. Glad to see that train.
Thanks for watching!
Awesome...this is the video I was hoping you would make from this location with the same train passing over then under the bridge. The maps gave great context too. Also liked seeing the wye on the elevated terrain just past the trestle.
Pretty cool Jawtooth, good one!
Hey, thanks!
The coal train was doing an awesome/under thing. I really liked that! The intermodal was cool 😎, too. Thank you? 😃😃😄😄❤❤❤❤
Awesome switchback loop around train video
Thanks for watching
That was cool. Love those coal trains. Enjoyed the video
Thank you very much!
What a neat video!!! Thank you....
Glad you enjoyed it!
Great video, rain may have had to stop due to the block ahead was occupied!!!!, love your videos sir!!!👍👍👍🇺🇸
Thanks 👍
I always love the "live-action pets" segments, Brian. Your dogs are simply marvelous and they are lucky to have you and your family as their masters. Cheers, my friend. 👍👍
More great catches at such a awesome location Jawtooth!👍
Glad you enjoyed it
Amazing videos Jaw Tooth keep up the good work
Thanks a ton!
Hot in Arkansas as well. Love the open boxcar. Man slow running coal train. But the next two really sped up . Love the bridge shots. Be cool to have a drone shot after the first train makes the turn
Awesome live action.
Great video Jawtooth!! Love watching them from Wisconsin!
Thanks for watching!

Thank you! Will do! Happy Birthday also!
I still think of the times you had shoestring on whenever there's an open boxcar door to. That fellow sure liked you. 😊
Hey jaw tooth cool trains. The 1st coal train did a big circle. If you drove to center for bridge you'd see where they would load it by river. Cheek google maps you'll see coal pile by river. Have a great railroad day 🚂🙋♀️
Cool….er, hot video! Thanks, Jaw Tooth.
Thank you too!
On with the show.
Good morning Steve!
Thanks Jaw Tooth for a great video. hope you have an awesome weekend, my friend.
Thanks, you too!
Good video Jawtooth
Thanks!
Come to southern West Virginia in the Bluefield area you will see coal and freight trains go by. Plus McDowell Co. West Virginia between Welch and Northfork you will see trains their as well. Great video of the trains on the bridge and under the bridge as well. 👍👍
Not sure if you noticed, but the crew of that coal train switched engines around when they stopped on the bridge... 7650 was leading as they crossed the bridge and 44664 was leading when they headed under the bridge... Great video as always.. 73 Jim, K4QDF from Florida.
Correction... My error... Jim...
Nice shots.
Thanks!
I gotta check out this trestle in person sometime. I’ve seen it from a distance driving by on I-64, but not up close.
Awesome video JT . I miss the trains running through my back yard growing up. I live by the ocean now.Your videoes bring back great child hood memories. Keep up the good work. From Tim in Nova Scotia Canada
Everything on that coal train came out loud & clear JT! Awesome going really slow over the bridge that creaking sound it makes is amazing before it stops. Then again when it starts back up. Cool the steps are still there for you to walk up onto the bridge, great filming all the way down the bridge. Yes we got the coal BOOM! Shoestring would have laughed if he wasnt in the gondola at the time! That train makes a lovely sound coming back under the bridge awesome JT. Its a relaxing sound to go to sleep to. Beautiful intermodel those coloured cars look stunning against the brught blue sky. Fab video thanks JT! 😊🤩❤👍
110 coal cars
Summertime railfanning....always bring plenty of water. Especially here in Houston, Tx! Great video!
You got that right!
Houston could be renamed Sauna, Texas. Toasty enough for you?
@@jameschristiansson3137 I remember when I was a little kid visiting my uncle in Texas and it was hot. The last time I was in Texas was May 2019
@@jameschristiansson3137 lol you never get used to it. It's tolerable.
Kenova and Jaw Tooth. Quite a combo. This was unusual and very enjoyable too. That bridge is amazing. Thank you JT. You are the best! ❤
My pleasure!
Don’t know why it stopped two times but I would say around 107 cars.
Great video. Never realized that bridge circled around and under. Pretty neat. Awesome view from on top..
Thanks 👍
Awesome Video, I think Hobo Shoestring would have said great stuff.
I think so too!
Nice job catching those trains jaw tooth keep it up please and be safe while Railfanning out there please
Thanks, will do!
Good video
Yeah! the big Kenova Loop!
AWESOME
Thanks 🤗
Thanks for pointing out those last 2 heavy-duty flat cars, I had missed them. They were cool! Also like the 5 bay rapid discharge hoppers in the first train. Not as common as they used to be. Yes, I like rolling stock. Thanks for sharing. 👍
We Rode the 611 on its first trip out of Victory a Station a Dream Come true my Favorite Locomotive since I was a kid
I love that locomotive also. I rode it on 5 trips when NS ran it
Fabulous...! That bridge is immense - when was it built...?
This has to be my favorite spot you visit. Would love a house near here xD
Good morning Ja w Tooth.
Good morning!
How beautiful this all looks JT. How beautiful what you do showing the trains that have brought Progress to many towns to this day but unfortunately in some parts they have been left aside. This formation, as a slow but firm friend says, is wonderful to see. I didn't know that charcoal has been left aside, although knit is used for many things, but like everything, its stage is always ending. But what day is that for me are the best days. I send you a big hug jt I always follow you, sometimes I don't open the videos at the moment because of my work or what I'm doing but at some point I open them and I like them.❤
Merci beaucoup pour cette très belle vidéo ! 👍🙏
Kenova, West Virginia, might be a good railfan retirement city. Low crime, low cost of living, plenty of rail activity. There are homes trackside near where Jaw Tooth hangs out.
Looks hot...Great vid.
Thank you 😋
sounds good thks my friend
Thank you too
Try to stay hydrated while catching those awesome trains. It has been quite warm out lately here, too. Awesome shots of that big bridge, tho.
Thank you very much! I did really over heat that day
But wait, theres more! There always is!
Marquette, Michigan, has an ore dock that is interesting to watch.
Have you ever visited Bailey Yard in North Platte Nebraska? I feel like you would love it. It's genuinely awesome.
I am still looking at the Kentucky side and the West Virginian side for real estate. NSX is my love yet I can support the Northfolk Southern definitely. I am a Hoosier originally. You find the best spots
A great morning to catch a first train to go man what’s the hurry son!
Thanks for watching Connor!
Try to get one every day you can also get one on Independence Day !! Fourth of July coming soon
😅today is the trainstation Amsterdam CS locked down, for new rails remove 125 useless wissels, its a very big job for Prorail.😅
Hey my bday 🎂in August
Sloooow as it goes
I miss shoe string too bro
speaking of cars with extra wheels. not far from me on a siding was a long blue tanker with 5 axels. ever seen that?
Counting the locomotives I got 112 cars on the first train
It's hot here in Alabama as well
I saw hobo Kelly in the open box car that went by
I love watching your videos! Do you have any of the cars being loaded or unloaded? That would be interesting!
Yes I have a video of rock being unloaded from side dump cars. It's in one of my CCET playlist. It was being unloaded in Sardinia Ohio
There was 110 coal cars that's how many there was
Jaws show where the train comes under the bridge?
My favrite steam engine is Frisco 1519 it does not run but it on display at a railroad museum in enid oklahoma and they do allow people to go in the cab
You still have to go to Talkeetna Alaska
Cold in Minnesota today 67 degrees out
What? only 67? Wow, I didn't know it was that cold up there
Wish I could be out there being only 67! We're getting straight 90s here in Illinois
@@TrainmanRay it’s been a cold spring and summer here for me anyway 72 was the high today. 71 tomorrow lows overnight 40s and 50s.
Need to count the number of conrail cars. They are going to be around many more years.
