    The design details in the home are really clever. The double doors to the bedroom, pocket doors to closet and en suite. Also the beautiful flooring in the kitchen/garden is a really clever design element. And the price isn't too outrageous for it's location. Really good to see other homes like this rather than the usual white box. Thank you

    Hats off to the very talented couple that refurbished this house, this has got to be one of the most beautiful homes I have seen on this channel. I would not change anything in that wonderful home , having said that just one change would be turning the shower into a steam shower in the principle suite. Im gonna have to use that colour in my home in some rooms here.

    It's like they opened an account at Rockett St George and got carried away. It's amazing how the postcode affects the house prices so dramatically. If this house was located about 5 minutes down the road it would be more than double this price.

    Amazing price for London, Shepherds Bush is close enough to London Central, but far enough away to get a stunning home for 1. 8 million. I would want this home decorated exactly how it is. These owners have impeccable taste. It's cozy, classy, and chic. Beautiful property with the extended kitchen and skylight. Perfect! Can I hire these owners to decorate if I were to purchase this charming home?

    The entrance IS original as you can see from surrounding houses and the cornicing in the ceiling, you do notvget that quality of cornicing on the exterior entrance of ANY building. The interior second door has been added to act as a weather shield against draughts from the front door, quite clever really. The crittal doors to the garden are NOT original. These are a modern addition to the house probably done by the owners. I wonder if any of these people have lived in a real house with original features? If they did they'd spot original from more modern additions like the marble fireplace which is too plain to be original. Having lived in houses of this era I can tell you that any marble fireplace were a bit more ornate than that.

    Beautiful home. I like the layout in the primary bedroom connecting to the en-suite. The downstairs flows very well and feels consistent with a good connection to all the spaces. The kitchen is successful in being "un-kitchenly" (if such a word exists). I like the idea of two dining tables and no island. The seating around the back garden window is brilliant, as it pulls you into the garden. Overall nothing to dislike. Very cosy, glam, functional.

    If Victoria were alive today, this is what a modern Victorian interior would look like. Would've gone with lighter wall colors, but then that would've gotten away from that quirky Victorian vibe. No hollow creaking floors I trust. Nicely done rehab.

      For that price bracket, you won't be getting a fully furnished, detached, late 1800's Victorian house in London and would be lucky to find a semi for that price. Detached versions of this house type are quite rare in London. I'm sure you could comfortably buy a detached, newer build in London for that price, but they'll most likely be smaller with lower ceilings, no basement and thinner walls.

    Looks great but a little 'over done' in my opinion! But still very nice of course!
    But lets face it, once the current owners move out and take all of their interesting artworks and furniture,
    its not going to look quite as nice when the new owners fill it full of their cheap IKEA tat is it!!

    • @snowball1988
      @snowball1988 Рік тому +3

      I also find in these videos they often highlight the objects, artwork and furnishings but all of it would be taken with the current owners - apart from the flooring and window coverings!

    • @charlesjay8818
      @charlesjay8818 Рік тому

      What makes you think a person who has £1.8M to spend on a house is going to fill it with Ikea furniture? I'm sure the new owners will furnish it with the same expensive high end funiture but in a style of their choosing

    • @ifitistobeitisuptome
      @ifitistobeitisuptome Рік тому +1

      @@charlesjay8818 Just because someone buys a £1.8M house, that does NOT mean they have £1.8M in CASH to do it!! They almost NEVER do it with CASH!! They need to get a MORTGAGE!! And when people take out a mortgage they usually want to MAX OUT their buying ability! Which usually means they end up being BROKE for the next 10 years at least! Obviously when people are stuck paying a HUGE mortgage (BROKE) they will have very little spare cash to buy high end furniture & Art!! So yeah, I'd say there is about an 80% chance this house will end up being filled with IKEA tat!

    • @charlesjay8818
      @charlesjay8818 Рік тому

      @@ifitistobeitisuptome hahaha people who buy a £1.8M house using a mortgage are broke????? haha yeah sure, find me that person, not EVERYBODY will max out like u suggest. It's not going to be a 1st time buyer at £1.8M is it? it's a wealty person/couple who are climbing up the ladder on their 2/3/4 home, probably in their 30s/40s/50s even. Trust me they will have enough cash to buy good furniture, or will already have the decent funiture from previous homes. Your figure of 80% is STUPID. What world do u live in. Try to think logically like i do. Your thinking of a 20 year old university graduate or 1st time buyer maxing out taking a mortgage of 90% value to buy this £1.8M property who is broke with Ikea furniture hahahah. THINK LOGICALLY

    Should have just called it The JUNGLE ROOM! Love Victorian homes as I used to live in one built in 1897. Some of the details in this home are just a wee bit over the top for my taste but then again I do not have that kind of cash ...lol The black and white flooring is way toooo much for my eyes to focus on. It carried on a lot more than needed to the outside. The outside garden space is lovely but that floor makes your eyes focus on it instead of the greenery. I'm not sure if I like or dislike the dark paint everywhere, especially the ceiling in the master. To me, that makes the ceiling seem lower than it really is...All in all this house is fantastic because there are bedrooms and bathrooms on each floor. It gives the idea of privacy! If I had the money, I would surely buy this one.

    I really love it. But don’t believe the interior to be timeless, or maximise space.
    This is because of all the black ( which, except for very small areas) minimises the size of the space. The animal print and all dark tones with only accents of lighter tones, is very modern, but fashionably modern for this past 5 years or so. Ultimately it will become overcrowded looking with the collection of things that accumulate. It is also very hard to transfer to private spaces. If you want to make some money on it.
    The separate park as a major asset seems very first elitist, and not worth it as far as I’d rather have my own space. Or pay the difference to live near a beautiful public park like Hampstead Heath.
    Over all the interior seems two young for those who will afford to live there. The resale value would actually go down because it’s so nitch.
    And the man showing the house, knows very little about what interior design pieces are worthy of discussion.
    He knows space, but not a tempting sales man in my opinion.
    Just think if it’s beyond “ showing off wealth”, to try and sell this space like this is almost foolish.
    Perhaps others feel different . But I have staged many houses. And this is to particular to believe one would get maximum value, or views
