What I love about the British folk showing their homes is that they don’t waste time. So many of these home tours are so long because everyone wants to tell us about everything on every table, every shelf, where they bought it, how much it cost, etc. The British are like, “Here’s my book collection. Here’s my wall of photos. Shall we now move to the kitchen?” 😂
What a lovely down to earth lady she is. It was a pleasure to hear her describing her choices in her home--which is sooooooo cozy! She shows that you don't have to spend a fortune and jump onto trends in order to have a home that is put together. One of my favourite Homeworthy tours.
Thank you so much Laura! I've done quite a bit more since than video was shot too - my home rule is everyone should feel comfortable enough to put their mug down without a coaster!
@@annaehart I meant every word:). You have achieved the look/feel you set out to do (not an easy task). I for sure would feel very comfortable having a cuppa in your home (without darting about looking for a coaster:). I wish you and your family a VERY HAPPY NEW YEAR, may it be filled with good health & much laughter. You should feel very proud , you have made a home anyone would be proud to call their own:).
Her home looks normal but better lol. I can’t explain it😅. It’s like you know someone with style and taste lives there but it’s still cozy. Idk but I love it lol
What a delightful home. Unpretentious and unstuffy. No mega expensive items to show off vast wealth. Just an easy lived in feel with stories behind their furnishings that you actually want to listen to. One of my All time favourites
This home is absolutely lovely! There is something to be said about separate rooms, it’s like each is it’s own little world but still cohesive with the overall design. If elevated cozy is a thing, this is definitely it.🏠💕
Anna wins as the most well spoken lady ever on Homeworthy - she WINS my self-appointed contest of who can guide us through their charming abodes with the fewest "I love this" --- thank you Anna for sharing your life and home with us all - such a very gracious person making me wish the world was filled with more Annas!!!!!!!!!
I LOVE that this is a comfortable, lived-in home. It's light, comfortable and has all these artifacts from the family's travels. There's nothing more interesting, as a guest, than to learn about these things. I can definitely see enjoying hours of music and a nice bottle of wine in that sitting room. But the best part, for me, was seeing Dotty curled up on her bean bag in her window-space. ❤😊
My upstairs sitting room is my Christmas room and there really is something special about having a room for that and cosy film sessions and to feel away from everything and cosy and relaxed with candles and a fire glow.
I love this house, one of my favorites of all time. The decor style is just beautiful and comfortable/homey looking. My favorite rooms are the kitchen and the huge bathroom. Just lovely ❤
A wonderful abode! A combination of the old and new, and a space that's lived in. :) On another note, there's a fashion blogger named Peony Lim who resides in London. I hope one of these days you can ask her to show her property. She has a stunning home!
Anna is a delight and her home totally feels like it truly reflects her style and famil y Love it. Really nice to hear her mention future changes \ updates - that's the reality of owning a home - it's always evoling. I think it's important to note this home works well for all the changing seasons in the UK really enjoyed this .
I Love how this couple has filled their Home with such practical and Beautiful pieces where every room easily flows into another. It’s a Home that invites relaxation with its lovely soft welcoming colors. The owner is also Lovely. TUFS
Loved this one. I actually follow Anna on instagram but it’s lovely to see a full video house tour. So lovingly decorated. So inviting. Obviously Dot stole the show!
I so agree with you about candles aren't they amazing!! I think things that were in your family are important and I have included them in my home too. Gives you a sense of continuance and respectful too. The children love all that.
Adore the lounge and thank God you kept the fireplace as so many homes haven't and I don't understand that???? Beautiful calm room and neutral tones that are soothing.
I love jute and the green is just the right tone and the fern prints look so good and I adore maps which you have on one wall. The tray on the centre ottoman is lovely and those old features are amazing. How is it people take out rails and cornicing that is the character of the home so well done on restoring it.
Your home reflects a happy, cozy, and loving family. Miss Dolly is adorable and the star of your house. We have a Miss Kitty who rules our house. Keep the cushion in the window because our precious fur babies are a gift of pure love from God. I love the accents of William Morris fabrics. I would like to have at least one wall of one of my favorite WM prints but have not done that yet. I do have pillows and placemats with Strawberry Thief in blue. Please paint your closets doors in a lovely blue, you will love the color in that room. Thank you for sharing your lovely home.
One of my top 3 favorites! Love the colors, textiles, and overall comfort level in this home. Beautifully inviting! (Where can I find the tree fabric on the pillow that sits on the orange chair please?)
What a delightful woman and home. Soft, relaxed and joyous. Small request can you ask her to turn the elephant, on the mantle piece, to face the door or window. Elephant ornaments need to know they can leave. Extraordinary xxx
Piano! This is the first one I have seen that is like ours. It was my husband's grandmother's, an 1892 Steinway. Yours is slightly fancier, with the pilaster trim on each end of the upright backboard front above the keyboard It is probably just a year or so later, I'd guess. You have a lovely home. Kudos on achieving your relaxed aesthetic.
Beautiful. Anyone would feel comfortable in this home. One of my previous comments on mainly the American homes is that they look like something from an interiors catalogue. All brand new not a crease in anything and the owners dressed in their Sunday best. However I do like the American homes owned by men. Full of character and interesting. Just my opinion for what it’s worth! Thank you Homeworthy for finding this one.
Introducing a third color to a perfect two tone is a challenge! The pistachio and white are in perfect harmony. And it suits her personality because she is the conservative mumsy type. You are either left working with a neutral (beige, grey) or going completely against the color scheme (with a bold pattern/print like a Leopard print or a complimentary color like in reds or corals) The muted blue /Petrol is doing nothing. The rooms look disjointed and hastily thrown together. I have had the same issue in my own apartment (with a perfect blue and white)! It is hell to find the right third tone! It requires time - or big big balls!
Anybody that’s a George Harrison fan is my kinda person! Love Love Love this house. Please tell me where the living room chairs are from, the green velvet ones.
So lovely to see and English home and like the kitchen but feel the NY poster and mirror were too modern for it and we have such lovely old finds that would make it more English and you have a great personality. My daughter likes Slim Aarons too.
A very calm relaxed home. I wonder if, in that huge bathroom, did they try to fit in a toilet closet? As it is there is no privacy & it appears to be the only bathroom in the house.
She mentioned it’s from John Lewis (a “middle class favourite” high street department store in the UK) so yes, probably very affordable. If you’re interested, they also have a good website.
Sage espresso machine. Breville markets its products worldwide using its namesake Breville brand, except in the UK and Europe, where the Sage brand is used
Very tasteful, very nice ...and I'm bored. Where is The Art??? (Keith Haring hardly counts). Even the botanical prints are uninteresting. (When she said "This is where we watch a lot of sports.." I twigged).
It is always suspicious, when someone says he/she loves Music sooo much and there is no Turntable, no Speakers (the Marshall BT Speaker is just rubbish) no Records no nothing. Where do they listen to music? I do not make my living out of music but everyone who had visited me since I am 14 years old at once stated: you must be very into music… to be honest, if she said „we both hate music“, I would believe her more
I am a music lover from childhood on. I always had music in my homes, but for the last 20 years or so I don't listen to music in my home like before. I love the quiet moments when I'm at home. I sing in different choires, I have friends who play instruments and we do make music together and I listen to music in the radio in my car when I drive to or from work. But you won't find a turntable in my home ( although I still have all my records-)...... Greetings from Germany 😊

Yeh your right….😂compared to American households who just want to talk about themselves endlessly, kinda shallow mostly,..all showing off their wealth
Yes I totally agree lol so many times I kind of zone out with the lon winded tours lol
Haha, thank you!

Lovely home, I love how “lived in” it feels plus all of the personal touches. Well done!

Lovely home tour and her friendship is welcoming. Her dog, Dorothy just the cutest especially how she stole the show sitting in her favorite spot. 🐕
Very charming home and such a lovely hostess -- plus Dorothy is a gorgeous wee soul!! Love that music is so much a part of their everyday lives!

Beautiful decor; such an inviting home and a lovely hostess, thank you for the tour.
This is well put together and very comfortable. She was a gracious hostess for the tour and I love her little dog, as well.
Love this. She has just my style. Eclectic and homey( or homely as the English say).
Absolutely delightful! The home and the hostess. Cozy, livable and honest. Thank you for sharing your home with us, Anna! ❤
Love everything about this house and the way it is decorated
Breaks my heart that you found that beautiful Victorian fireplace in the street so great that you rescued it.
Oh, this house is just perfect. So relaxing, cozy and yet polished. And the hostess, of course, is a gem.

the Matisse print over the fireplace, beautiful...don't mean to be crass, but is such a print affordable??
