Fair review. I just got one and had a lot of trouble getting it figured out out of the box. It's not a professional drone but for the price point I was quite surprised how well it worked. Mine stabilized much nicer than this out of the box. I was flying on a fairly windy day too and it did good. Compared to other drones I've flown the fact that I could let my hands off the sticks, set the controller down and walk away and come back to it later and it's still in the same spot in the air was huge. Pretty much anybody could use this thing. Being able to move the camera up and down is a sweet feature too. For the price range, so far I would recommend it but you better be a directions reader. Don't think you will pull it out of the box, charge battery up and off you go because it's not happening. You will not figure it out on your own. Mine came in nice case with two batteries and extra blades.
Definitely the best Mavic pro clone ive seen to date I believe, and for less than 200 its really hard to beat for a beginnner or first drone for sure. My first was a phantom 3 pro... I took it up my very first flight, what was supposed to be a great maiden... At 50 foot it just fell out of the sky, directly on pavement..... Exploded basically..

Thank you for sharing this review. I'm new to drones but... I don't think those connection problems you had are a big deal as long as one is used to doing troubleshooting with electronics. A restart is most of the times the solution to any device's problem. Thanks again!
Exactly like the phoenix yes. Like spot on without the Vivitar logos. I love these little phoenix drones. They move pretty decent and are just a fun little quadcopter

I flew mine on basically no wind and it was always sliding around even after i re calibrated it. I used return home feature on a school oval and it flew 100m to the right into trees.
I just want to start by saying thank you for this clarification. I just bought my son this drone but it's with another name. PhoeniX GPS foldable video drone, DRC-LSX10. I was looking for a place to buy replacement propellers which is very hard. Once I put in the name you had I found the parts on Amazon.
Michael Barron Jr it is it’s the same thing a lot of these companies will remake a drone and put a different number on it and put it every name on it and market it somewhere else several several companies copy MJX bugs stuff... like jjrc... jjrc is mjxrc
I bought this drone first time I've ever touched a drone I'm doing okay with learning to fly it but only being able to practice 15 minutes at a time makes it really hard. we've had no issues with the video recording I guess I should have bought a spare battery because by the time the battery charges I forgotten half of what I just practiced so far I think it's okay
Hi Ready Set Drone - I will have to agree to disagree on your comments about the mew 4-1 drone. Other experienced drone flyers that reviewed drones did also fly the mew 4-1 and praised its abilities an spoke highly of it. You seemed un-sure of yourself, I noticed and was a bit surprised as you have been reviewing for a while now. Your the only reviewer that said quite a few bad things about this drone. This really frustrates me, because I think its a great drone for the money and a worthy buy. I don't believe its as bad as you make it to be. Your very critical & judgemental of a pretty solid drone that is a little different. Disappointed with your comments!! There's not many things wrong with it.
Would be nice if the battery charged like so many other things.. your concerns about the remote, hmm... Yes it's very similar, but like getting into different brands of cars, trucks or equipment.. most are very similar.. some even identical.. why?? Because that's what people have learned to use ... I bought Phoenix vti from wal mart last week, it looks just like it! It does ok, but the record settings is terrible snd it wont record? I got lucky the first time i flew it and got some video of our farm. But now is showing out and not recording? You cant set none of the settings on it. I dont like that.
I actually like it when drones DO NOT have a 2/3 axis gimbal , cause it gives you a better sense of flight/speed . Not ideal for filming , but looks more realistic for FPV ish footage.
Your so critical, but you say you like MJX RC drones, and I actually have this drone & some very experienced drone flyers that review like you, nothing but praise this drone the mew 4-1 and a bit puzzled by the way you present this review . I've had a great fly with mine and is very powerful more so than say the bugs 5w drone, it can fly up to a kilometre as I have done (does say 800 metres) so I can fault it. All the functions work perfectly. So I'm bemused by your review. And if you find it hard to read the manual or writing get your eyes looked at as you may benefit from wearing glasses. I do look at your reviews and I like them, but this review is wrong I'm afraid unless you got a lemon. And lots & lots of companies copy each other, it's called business !!! So sorry but all the top drone flyers like I said praise MJX for the mew 4-1. What's your thoughts on your own review. You don't see organised properly with this review. The props on these are like bushhog blades..if you strike something hard, it gives by swiveling the blade, minimizing impact..less damage on those brushless motors that way..

They should have put MORE EFFORT into a BETTER CAMERA + picture ( and improve latency) 🤔 than trying to replicate the DJI and Anafi 1:1. Would have added more value to the drone.
A Chinese company ripping off another Chinese company.. Oh the irony... And they are available in the US under the "Phoenix" by VTI. It's the same drone just rebranded here in the U.S
App doesn't work anymore. Good drone but it's basically just a camera less drone. App has been down for over a year and no signs of fixing it. I tried a different app but the camera still won't work.
I flew one of these, and the feet are definitely made cheap. It's also sold as the Vivitar Phoenix. It is a toy, with a cheap camera. Great fun, but still chinsy..
Interesting but not for me. I am currently a typhoon H 480 owner. As of now I'm content with it.so for me no matter what drone you purchase what manufacturer they all have problems or will have problems. I know I have had my share of problems. Reminds me of my Parrot AR Drone 2. The picture quality is better, but still looks like a camera was attached to the back of a bee. Still like my Inspire and Mavic Pro😊
Just on the button you say doesn't do anything on the top of the controller on left at top. Well if you press that it turns motors off when you press it when landing. Not about yours a bit strange !! The mew 4-1 that is.
A Chinese manufacture try a fusion of a Mavic and a Anafi drone... Result! It doesn't get close to a bebop drone. Nice review... But it seems disappointed. Cheers mate

had you actually read the manual instead of thinking you know everything about each drone the glitches you had could have been avoided and your perception of this drone may have had a totally different outcome. That 14 year old you mention in one of your replys also needs to read his manual as well. Not a glitch from day one and for the price and for entry level a very nice drone. The (Vivitar) VTI Phoenix is the same drone and comes with two batteries and a nicer case. From Walmart

I have a drone called VTI Phoenix Drone. Its very similar with that. They lolk the same. Are they named different?

When it all comes down to it save you money and get a DJI Mavic-2 Zoom or Pro.
You will have less regrets.

I have the Vivitar version, it only likes 32GB or smaller SD cards
App doesn't work anymore. Good drone but it's basically just a camera less drone. App has been down for over a year and no signs of fixing it. I tried a different app but the camera still won't work.
Also the company won't stand behind there warranty in any kind of system malfunction...

it´s a cool drone, but its dissapointing for many reasons, i preffer for that price a H501SS Hubsan, even Standard Kit
