911 Porsche Carrera DME Relay and ECU DIY

Here is a how to fix you DME Relay if you have a crank no start situation or if it takes your car a long time to start you may want to clean the ECU and check the relay. I always use 99% rubbing alcohol and a new tooth brush med bristle then rinse with distilled water. This is a how to video if you brake parts or your car I am not responsible.

My hero. 924s no start. Checked the solder joints on the DME relay. Resoldered the cracked one. Car starts, saving all kinds of grief, aggravation and money. Thank you. I should figured this out myself as it's the same issue as the fuel pump relay on 240 and 740 Volvos!

Have you tried putting power to it directly to see if it has the same problem if so the solenoid might be getting weak and probably needs a rebuild or be replaced.

nice video. I have a 85´ 911 3.2 carrera. The starter does not operate every time i turn the ignition switch. in 2 out of 10 times the starter operates and the engine fires. Any ideas?

Hello I have a 964 1990 with a bad pump where is the pump ! and do you have a photo on it .

It is located by the ECU under the drivers seat it takes a 10mm to remove.
