I work for GM as an auto mechanic, been busting wrenches for 13yrs. Apparently there’s always someone who can do it faster, cheaper, better.. etc.. The poeple who appreciate the work we do, admire it and thank us for the work. It’s the ones who have no clue or claim to know everything that seem to crawl out of the woodworks and just talk nonsense.. Keep up the good work guys.
Those that know are probably comfortable with a wait time, I don’t see anyone else matching this level of craftsmanship or attention to detail

if your filmer, films all the builds it could be an awesome idea to offer the customer a video of their car being built like this one. Maybe for a small fee or for free if you filming it anyway why not? its something I'd love if I was getting my car built this perfectly

@@Michael-jq5pf Just bay. The paint is a little shot on the car in places and there’s a few dents over the place. My original engine went out on me back in September. So it need a new to the car engine and some other work done.

As someone from the West Coast of Canada the likelihood of me getting out to your shop isn’t very high. I absolutely love the effort you put into cleaning up, restoring & simplifying the Skylines that pass through your doors.
As a BNR32 owner myself who has done most of his own maintenance during my last 15 years of ownership there are some things you do that I would like to also do now. Just curious, do you the sell parts for some of the simplification? Like the modified p/s pump or the ABS delete lines? If not that’s all good as it is what your business offers. But I just thought, why not ask.

Yes as a BNR32 owner as well some of those bits are interesting, being in the UK and owning a skyline since 2004, still some of the cleanest GTR's I've seen. Been to Japan 8 times and in the national geographic vid on the launch of 35. Its a testament to such a good job they do here. Of course Aki's BNCR33 looked after by Prince dealer in Tokyo and Mines is the best car I've been in but he is anal about it in a good way. I go to the states often trying to find a way to go and see this shop
100 percent you should release build videos like that for every car you do. no music. no commentary. just raw sounds of the shop and the build progress. absolutely loved that. was super interesting and relaxing to watch

You guys do great work. I just wonder why no fender covers when working under hood. We were forced to use them at the Mercedes dealership I worked at, and I didn't like them at first, but they saved me in a few instances.

I had wiring specialties build me my own spec Pro harness straight to a Haltech elite 2500. No jumpers, with oil pressure, fuel pressure, map sensor, flex fuel sensor etc. So stoked for my 2.8 build to be finished at the machine shop to use all of this cool shit! Love the build videos! You guys do great work! Wish I could afford to have you guys build my R33!
Honestly more videos like this... This is like ASRM for me, it's absolutely gorgeous to watch a build video. The precision and work that goes into it from a technical and knowledge point of view is just expert.
The camera work was top notch too, not invasive and gorgeously documenting meticulous details. These videos scattered here and there, no music, maybe some light chatting from Josh on just what he is doing and why here and there would be god tier content.

I enjoy the customer build montages. I personally would like to see more of those right along with the typical showings that there have always been.
not only do you get a sick car built. the customers also get to see their car getting built. super reassuring to see the shop's quality if your investing that much money into a car. look how dustin williams car was from the other shop for example.

its not our call. have to draw the line somewhere. customer has a budget and we have to stay as close to that budget as possible unfortunately
As what the OGs of early generations would say “respect the process” alot of people get the misconceptions of builds and it takes alot more than just a overnight session. Things tend to happen and its always going to be inevitable to be patient in what you want to be technically “perfect”. Im happy that clint is working here because he did great work in the midwest especially IOWA out of all places (we dont get alot of recognition) and that shows that people that dont need to show off all their content to impress people. These gentlemen are mastering their craft and its a blessing to see things being shown instead of 10 years back when social media was just slowly exploiting good builds. Happy to see where tommy is going with this and i cant wait to be in that type of group aura to enjoy what we all love. Cars

The funny thing about the pocket watchers is that they have never had enough money to have a car built to Tommys level of detail and have no idea how long some other shops take to build a car.
Smashed the like for the blue car. Putting a nice clean car together, is so satisfying. Its almost therapeutic! I have a couple cars, and I have OCD about them being certain way. Soon I'm going to blow one of them apart, paint it, and slam it full of parts. It's not jdm legend, but its an american legend! A 2.4L ~350whp/420TQ GTX3071R. The kicker... its a frickin dodge SRT-4 neon! Not a hater, but dang!!

What type of clamps are those on the intake piping on that gtr that has what looks like a color matched valve cover and red oil cap? The one with the strut brace that looks titanium rainbow colored.
Obviously I don't know much about the JDM stuff but I really enjoy watching your videos and seeing how clean you do things. I try to do my builds to a similar level I work on jeeps though. I don't really see many people doing this level of quality work on the stuff I work on but I can relate and get good ideas from watching you guys. It takes time to do your quality of work I think you guys are actually pretty quick.
Josh is a good tech. Saw him using that razor blade to open a harness. Game changing tool that will change your life. A seam ripper. It’s used in sewing and you can buy em just about anywhere. Cuts any tape with ease and has a ball end on one side that helps to prevent cutting into wire insulation. Buy a bigger one cuz it’s easier to hold/use without wrecking your hands.

filming all the builds is a fantastic thing to do because then you can offer the car owner a dvd or usb stick with the build footage for documentation for future sale or appraisal.
