- The Saffron Milk Caps certainly grow big in South Australia. This is a video of our mushroom foraging adventure from last Autumn (2022).
We are so long forward to the 2023 mushroom season.
Mushrooms featured in this video:
Saffron Milk Caps (Lactarius deliciosus)
Greay Knights (Tricholoma terreum)
Laccaria
Thanks for sharing once again! We're also very excited for the season... hopefully it's a long one with all this rain we've been getting. Good luck and happy hunting :)
Hey Mitch. All this rain is really exciting. Hopefully the season starts earlier and stretches out longer.
Greetings from Cyprus. Good harvesting year for milkcups also😊
The season is a little late in Australia this year.
OMG saffy fashion parade!!! 🤣🤣🤣

Hi. Thanks for watching our video. It is so great that the same kinds of mushrooms can be found all over the world.
Awesome. How did you go in December. Kuitpo got a second flush and it was groovy to have fresh safrons for Christmas :)
Unfortunately we didn't get a chance to head out in December. But yeah saffies are always in abundance.
This looks like a great spot to take the kids for a walk, would you mind sharing what trail this is? I don’t pick just admire I’m not brave enough 😅
There are lots of nice trails in Kuitpo. This one is called Bone Gully.
Hi..
I have picked hundreds of Red Safrons from Mount Crawford. And plenty plenty of Slippery Jacks ..thy bruise easy once you touch the gills.... so the white ones are okay to eat..because I think the ones with the wavy rims are no good to eat or is it the other way around..
Where did you buy the mushroom knives..?
Cheers Tony
Hey Tony. All the mushrooms in the video are edible except for the red one (Fly agaric). We sell the mushroom knives for $25 if you are interested.
by the way.... What zone is it in Australia?
I'm not sure what you mean by zone. Do you mean climate wise? We are in the southern end of Australia.
@@FruitsOfLife001 I meant what part of Australia it is, and thanks for replying.
