I asked Stuart’s daughter Kirsten to please sing this song and she did. Her version is beautiful. I prefer the live versions as I love the “too many ghosts” verse and I think Stuart’s accent is more obvious in the live versions. Gorgeous song. ❤

This is a prime example of Stuart's awful nasal voice he adopted after The Seer. Totally ruins beautiful lyrics with his whiny phrasing. I much prefer the 'real' Stuart voice.
His Scottish voice he matured whinny not 😝🤪.Stuart lived in florida in the 90s .late 90s nashvile he was getting in to different music meetings new musicians. Getting new music ideas from.watching usa news reading books and even getting in to the country scene. .he matured his voice .he still spoke Scottish in later interviews. And at the final fling at the barrowlands. Soon as harvest home kicked in you hear he's still got his accent .songs like were not in kansas driving to Damascus wouint work him singing like 1980s . Voice .they all mature there voices .look at u2 bono is the same compared to the early 80s .I'd never knowing u2 songs like lemon fly he don't sound Irish like he did
