To be a fan of Big Country makes you part of a special club....never forget that. YOU KNOW good music...good art. Stuart lives on because WE love his music. Don't be sad. Be proud and grateful.
Having seen Stu and the boys over 25 times live it was an absolute privilege and some of the most memorable gigs ever. Stay alive was the one thing the big man just couldn’t do. Still gutting to this day. Keep the music alive tho, keep it playing. Stu, Bruce, Mark and Tony a band on a different level.
When we lost Stuart we lost a beautiful person and an amazing talent. He left us with so much great music that we can listen to for the rest of our lives. For that we are grateful. But yes walesspiritof76 I agree with your sentiment completley.
A truly masterpiece written and sung by someone that to me is simply truly class, talent and genius at their very best...not a day goes by without me thinking of you my great hero, you that changed my life and made it so much better...will never be able to thank you enough...🙂🔝❤️🏴🎼🎸🎤
Youre a lucky person I think to have known him, I have some sort of a connection to him and the band. They are my favorite band, I am now 42 years old. I feel every hurt he sang of, I wish things could have been different for him and he was still around....he will always be a hero to me now and forever!!! Slainte, Ross
Big country are not some sing-along 80s one-hit wonder band they are one of the most truly beautiful blessings given to us by Stuart and a gang of awesome soulful human beings
Gone 18 years today.Still very much missed by family, friends and fans.Stuart,we all wish fate had been kinder to you.You truly deserved better than you got.Life can be...............
What a band Big Country were (still are). Them 4 recorded some uplifting music. Pity the public didn't get to hear . Shame on radio stations and crap management
This song is fantastic, Stuart of course sung from the Heart and I can always feel his emotion when I listen to his songs and this is a prime example... Love this Band FOREVER.....
Parole sante Dany, fa piacere condividere l'amore per i Big Country e Stuart Adamson, piuttosto raro fra gli Italiani e tanto più sorprendente in quanto donna....rare fra i BC fans
I love Big Country and Stuart very much but I'm not keen on country music at all. I'm more rock but this is lovely. Stuart was an amazing talented man who I wish realised how loved he was. 🏴
Davec, glad to see another Big Country fan who has discovered the brilliance and beauty of Stuarts last work. The whole CD is great and Private Battlefield is my personal favorite.Rock or ballads Stuart could do it all. What a talent. He will never be forgotten.
God bless you stuart for the music..A more humble man in music you will ever meet..In touch with the working man..never needed sun glass,s or had a massive ego...That,s why we loved & miss him so much...Thanx dany for the post...and making the memories flow again...TTFN
holala cette chanson j en suis tombé par terre la 1ere fois que je l ai ecouté c est simple lors du solo de guitare j ai des frissons!!!!! merci mon vieux stuart!
More of a country rock love song. Harvest Home, The Storm, Winter Sky, Wonderland are more in the folk vein. Here in the US we almost don't have any folk rock, but plenty of country rock.
The Raphaels CD is superb! It's on constantly in the car! Life is a church is my favourite! This is new to me!! Where's it from? I thought they ballard stuff they did was fantastic!
Danymailand, another excellent post on your part.Amazing how many great songs these guys created.Has anyone in Big Country land checked out Stuarts last project with the Raphaels.the cd "supernatural" is brilliant.Never met the man but I miss him.
(another) one of my favourites! Another little nugget, lying undiscovered by the general public. I feel quite sorry for them really. Ah well, life's unfair sometimes really init? Rip Big Man Edit added later.- it's just a great song isn't it? Quite marvellous in my humble. Just sayin, that's all..
Such a beautiful song
Stuart, you are so missed!

padraigmarcus, bloody well said my man, he is the Son of God.
With the Gods in our eyes, pity the mainstream never saw his gift to us all, mankind.
👍🏼
I'm proud to be a member, listen to them every day
2023 and still listening to Stuart every day ❤️ rest easy big man, if only you knew the talent you have and you are loved and missed big time.

Always nice to find a Big Country song for the first time. A class act, sadly missed.
Just done that 5 years later... how the hell does that happen?

Very similar for sure, and it's of no surprise because Stuart eventually moved to Nashville.
More of a country rock love song. Harvest Home, The Storm, Winter Sky, Wonderland are more in the folk vein. Here in the US we almost don't have any folk rock, but plenty of country rock.
A absolutely beautiful song, straight from the heart of an amazing artist.

Supernatural is brilliant! Although you may notice only around half the songs are sung by Stuart, Marcus Hummon sings the other half...
