My name is Gibson, I was named after the guitar that my dad wanted and could never get, the Gibson J45, he now is getting one soon.
That's pretty sweet. I recently got my first Gibson and there is just something special about it.
That's awesome!
Kit fisto
That’s great but this is a Wendy’s.. I mean a bass video
that's very cool dude
I’d never played a Dingwall until recently. They are annoying, once you play one, everything else feels like a toy. Such great instruments.
I have a dingy. Can confirm.
The best thunderbird clip on the internet.
I dream of owning a Dingwall some day. It's the Dingwall for me boss
Beautiful basses for sure!
Thanks bro! Love the way you dig playing different chops and tones across the genres.
Oh, I wish I could buy 100 basses!!! I'd love one of those Dingwall basses but *_dang_* that price tag! Sounds amazing.
being able to hear all those pieces of music you love come out of your fingers, plays a big part in the love I have for playing an instrument.
I keep replaying this video because I'm not sure if I love or hate what you did with NMCC
😈😈
Whichever doesn’t make the headstock bury itself 6ft under whenever you let go of it.
😵😵😵
It's an easy fix if you use an acoustic guitar loop for the head and basically use three anchor points on your strap.
I want the bass that looks like it is from futurama!
Tapping nmcc? Damn. Respect
🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
I like the Dingwall, personally.
Doctor feel good was actually on a PJ Spector with a Tbird style body.
My active Ibanez does jazz beautifully but in the same breath does Royal Blood 👌🏻 technique
I want a dingwall
Man, the way you deliver Dr Feelgood Ian... that tone...
:chef-kiss:
You are a monster player man
Ah cheers man!
Thunderbird was the best I ever tried! Wish I had bought it in 1977 bicentennial lol
Dingwall
Dingwall🤘🤘🤘. But I also love the Gibson.
I'd stil go with the Dingwall. I mean that is just so versatile instrument that it boggles the mind.
Man I want one but that's like an arm or both legs.
But number 2 has my heart ❤️
Wasn’t Sweet Emotion a Fender Bass VI?
I prefer the Gibwall
Perhaps the answer is the same than to guitars, it is the head guided hands, helped with electronics.
dingwall no cap
The Fender Jazz bass is the all time winner.
🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻
I’m a T-Bird lover all the way. No matter how similar some basses may look or sound… as Coca Cola used to say, you can’t beat the real thing!
Gibson 🔥
Answer, both.
Both are winners 🙂
Dingwall hands down
You cant ask this. Dingwall of course! Actually Dingwall gives you +55 in Physical Damage
This is an unfair comparison. The fanned fret and longer scale on the Low B for the Dingwall is unparalleled
Yes but it doesn’t have that classic vintage vibe like the Gibson!
@@IanMartinAllison true, but the Dingwall wins out for me, cuz I want one!
Never about the bass. All about the fingers and execution. Plus a bit of a graphic equaliser...
I’ll stick with my Thunderbird
💜💜💜
To make a fair comparison you should play the same riffs side to side, because I couldn't feel much of a difference with the Firebird
Sounds like fun dude!
Like for Meshuggah! 😅😊
🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
Because there's more that goes into a bass tone then just the instrument.
The dingwall is chinese. Ill go with the gibson
He’s playing a D-Roc custom which is all Canadian. It’s the D-Roc standard that’s made in China. You can tell by the wenge fretboard and the bridge (the Chinese one has individual saddles and a pau ferro board).
Of course the phone I’m typing this on is Chinese but yeah, still find it hard if not impossible to buy a Chinese made bass.
Bought an combustion 5 some days ago.
I just don't have about 4-5k in € to get myself an all canadian one.
And to tell the truth: I was able to compare it to a lefay just a day ago.
The lefay is definitely the better instrument but for about 3 times the price.
My teacher used my new cb5 and was impressed how good Chinese quality set up and controlled in Canada could be.
Tone is in the fingers. Doesn't matter what instrument you're playing, only how well you play it.
That's just not true. Player has a lot of influence on the tone for sure, but different strings and pickups objectively change how a bass sounds. Jamerson didn't use a P bass with flats for nothing. Metal players don't use distortion pedals for nothing.
@@AL-ry5ly I've seen people playing heavy metal and thrash metal with upright acoustic basses. Don't even start.
@@flamu9183 You can play anything on anything, but it won't sound right on the wrong instrument. Metal on an upright bass is the wrong instrument.
@@flamu9183yeah but you can't get distortion on an upright bass 😂
@@mrseaweed88 use a pickup and plug it into a distortion pedal
