Oh your little 'un melts my heart every time he says "like your side" Great to see you tackling those awkward jobs with confidence, skill and professionalism, I could not have done any better with all my 38 years experience behind me. Never heard of Crealy's so you have officially educated me. Wishing you and your family all the very best for Christmas and the new year, stay safe too.
I had my first RORO training yesterday with my local council. Usually I drive the bin refuse Dennis lorries and now I’m being trained up on the RORO. I have worked for a local skip company before I joined the council. I found it hard to get used to the RORO controls which operate the arm etc etc but it will come in time I guess. The driver who was teaching me said my driving is spot on and I’ll be ok with the controls, he’s going to get the council to put me through my class 1. Can I ask a question, do you run out of scope ?? I didn’t yesterday , but usually do driving the bin truck, hopefully I’ll be ok to drive out of scope this week as I’m back in the bin lorry but if I’d been on the RORO at the beginning of the week and didn’t use out of scope I guess I’d have had to carry on driving the bin lorry in scope which would mean I’d have to drive under the EU rules
Impressive skills getting the roro skip off such tight driveways Chloe. I have a question - regarding a usual 20yd skip, what would the weight capacity be? Would it be suitable for heavy waste like block and stone or is it for a lot of lighter waste instead? Also, how do you know when to drop the rear axle to assist with lifting - is it just a visual assumption on how heavy the load is? Brill vids. Cheers!
I thought she'll never get that yellow thing out of this frontyard without squashing a car - but it worked. Wow! Stay safe and happy Xmas from Ludwigshafen!
Hi from Australia hook hifter are a good gig i have steered a couple in Australia i have to ask what is with the spazzy axle at the rear hey kid never walk behind the tail gate ever when you crack the latch even if it takes you two minutes to walk around please don't ever do it again we dismissed anyone that does it no second warning stay safe
Yes it took me a while to get over how scary it is 😂 even now there are some jobs that get a little scary! Hope it’s going ok?! Thankyou and Merry Christmas 😊
Hi Chloe, I recognised that road to your yard from Creally, you aren't far from ASD Parkin there! I can sympathise with your cold after the vaccine, I had my booster last Tuesday and on Wednesday I had the sore arm and flu symptoms for the day then on Thursday I was fine again. Have a great Christmas and New Year and see you in the next video 😊
Would love to do this kinda work would you recommend it for a new class 2 driver just got license 🙏 seems like good job from all the videos any advice would be greatfull love the vids👌
Hi yes I would definitely recommend to a new driver, I started from passing and have learnt so much, I’ve noticed it’s helped me when I jumped into the artic. Hope that helps. Thankyou 😊
@@SkipChickSW that's a good question 🤔 maybe a live stream a Christmas message to wish everyone a happy Christmas to those following you on UA-cam keep up the good work 🤣 #tagskipchicksw
You're a star for helping your fellow driver. However, I sort of disagree. I think you should have talked him through it instead of doing it for him -- he would have learnt far more. When you're learning to drive HGV's your teacher doesn't do it for you, he/she teaches you & you do it & learn from your mistakes. Like I said, you're a legend & deserve loads of kudos for helping your colleague, I just disagree with your method 👍👍👍
Yeah I totally agree with you there and that’s what I would normally do it. however in this circumstances the driver was already in a state of panic and had pressure from cars both sides. So I offered to go through it with him and he wasn’t happy to continue so in that state i offered if he would like me to get him out of the situation which he was grateful of. Hopefully that helps 😊 thank you
Maybe once you wreck a truck by “forgetting” to drop the tag or lowering the stabilisers you might start remembering. I’ll tell you something else, it sucks when you are behind a truck that’s spewing out rancid water especially as a motorcyclist. Try letting that all drain for a few minutes maybe ! The road is for everyone. Sorry my comment isn’t some suck up to the pretty girl type thing that you are used to, i’m not wired like that i’m afraid & i take road safety very seriously.
Thanks for the comment, not sure what your on about with the tag axel as this truck was fairly new to me at the time and unfortunately everybody makes mistakes and since then I have learnt a lot… fair enough with the water I get that, but I wasn’t aware how much water was in there at the time, but it is something I take seriously and where I can will let it drain. I’m not expecting everyone to suck up to me, I appreciate the criticism as I’m certainly not perfect and always something to learn, maybe don’t watch me if you don’t like what you see 😊 thanks for calling me pretty 🤩
Great video. Thank you for sharing
Thankyou 😊
Awesome!
