We are about the same age and I was just talking about Bo Jackson since I just got in about 10 of his 1986 Topps traded cards. He was asking why I needed so many of the same card and all I told him was, "It's Bo Jackson"! I then showed him your video where you were talking about Bo and said to him, "See, I'm not the only one". Thanks for sharing!
Thanks for the note. Bo was like someone who jumped out of a comic book and I really don't think we will ever see something like that again. It felt like every time he did something you were asking yourself - Did that really happen?
Thanks so much for the note and honored to have you aboard. All of those cards came from packs opened in 1987. They were either stored in a binder or in card boxes for 32 years before I submitted them. I was definitely pleased with this return from PSA. Will see if I have the same luck with my Griffey grading submission that I hope to see by May!
I listen to these while im working, and half the time im positive im listening to Bill Burr do a PSA reveal. Great stuff, love trying to gem 80s stuff. Hard as hell to get 10s
Does PSA offer grading specials like this often? And how/where would I find out about said specials? I have tons of 80s cards like in this 2 part video. Allot are good enough to be graded ($25-$75 in value), but certainly not worth the current PSA pricing model. Thanks.
Thanks for the note Keith. They have a Quarterly Special link on their website and used to have pretty good deals here and there. There aren't any now and my guess is they wont have similar specials in the future but you never know. Worth keeping an eye on. I think the days of grading these types of cards are over for a while
once agin like the other vid I commented ... just shows how much psa plays games and controls..... sorry that 8 Jose Canseco and 10 bo Jackson had zero differences lol ...
That 87 topps set was the first baseball cards I opened, man they bring back memories every time I see them without fail. Tons of great rookies. Great video!
theyre literally controlling that bonds and Griffey market crazy right now. you could send in a flawless perfect fresh out of the pack perfectly centered in and they'll give you an 8. but then their big spender client can go buy a raw on ebay thats been passed around through 7 owners and it magically gets a 10
Awesome! Love the 80s stuff. 87 Topps was fantastic. Decent grades. No young collector will understand having 15 copies of a good rookie, and not a single one grading a 10. Everyone puts down the "junk wax". I love it. Finding stuff that can gem is an art form. Love the vids. Keep them up!
Thanks so much. I do really enjoy the 1987 Topps set and it is really hard to find cards in great condition. You really realize that when you go through 25 of one card and only pull out 5-10 that may make sense to send in. Happy Holidays
And it's hard to get a good grade on them old cards their quality wasn't the greatest back then and you know the quantity was good how to get a good scented card back then thanks for the video though buddy
Youre not that good with left to right borders. First issue they deal with. PSA gives a card an MRI. It can detect flaws easily. Uneven side borders make for bad first impressions. Nice Bo rookies though.😮
only reason gave a few 10s on the Larkin was cuz you sent in 11 of them that all pretty much looked the same so they HAD to give a few 10s on that run or it'd look blatantly obvious theyre playin games. crack that slab on a 10 send it back in matter fact ill even pay the cost lol ... guarantee it dont come back a 10 when you send that in alone by itself.
Thanks so much - you are the second person to say that but I've only heard it on this channel, never before in my life. I watched one of his videos recently and didn't really hear it but will check out some more!
Hi Dave, thanks for the note. A lot of the cards that I've graded recently have been sold but I still have a decent amount plus about 1,000 currently at PSA for different purposes IF they ever come back.
@@davearchbell9921 Since August I've been submitting every month figuring that I would have a steady flow of cards coming back to continue to liquidate a bunch and keep some cards. Unfortunately the flow back to me stopped in the first week of December. I don't think there is a way around the lead times so I would recommend you start and hope for the best. That being said, I am starting to sell some cards raw even though I had originally planned on grading them. In those cases I am making the decision that the additional value and wait time does not make sense. Hope the thought process helps.
You know, having watched a bunch of these PSA reveal videos, the one thing that frustrates me is the fact that most of you Tubers love to reveal the grades you received on your submissions, but it would awesome if you could show the graded avg. price. Most of us who don’t know the current values, would surely appreciate it.
Thanks for the note Victor. For the most part I don't necessarily know the values either at record/reveal time but perhaps I can try to add some graphics during the editing process on some cards that give an idea of the current market value. I'll give it a try.

Great job on those 87 Bo's! Those are very tough, and good value these days. Enjoyed the reveal.
Thanks so much for the note and for watching.
Tough? Are they more durable than other cards, or something?
fun stuff you crushed the 1987 topps cards. How did you come about those packs

Great video!
I opened an obscene amount of these during 1987. It really was a great set.
I didnt think PSA did .5's i though it was just all single digit grade
Yeah, they dont have a 9.5 but do half grades the rest of the way down the scale.
Nice Bo Jackson cards great player
Thanks so much. It was so great living through the Bo Knows years.
It sure was a great player in 2 sports

Feels the same with Bo. Very hard to get a 10 on his junk wax.

Let's hope so. :)
10’s on the 87 Topps binders is just crazy man! Nice return!
Thanks kind sir. I agree, guess those binders were safer than I thought.
Bo RC in a 10 is a win for sure!
Few things are better than Bo.
i love the 84-86 donruss design was the shizzles back then.. the 84-87 fleer design was nice. the 86 fleer i liked the pics as well.
Thanks for the note and your opinion. 84-87 was a pretty good run.
Yep, if it’s not a 10 in those years, it’s worth a nickel a card. PSA is terrible lately.
Yeah, am glad this grading order was from a few years ago
LOVE LOVE LOVE this vid, those Bo Jackson and Barry Bonds 87 topps is so awesome!
Thanks for the enthusiasm, I really appreciate it. Although it gets a lot of crap, the 87 Topps set was a really great one in the history of cards.
Fun I’m the same age miss them cards .i moves to hockey only three years later..
Thanks for the note, they are always fun to sort through.

Great reveal and cards.. Can't go wrong with slabbing some 80's cards. Nice HOF player cards
I agree, thanks so much.

Not bad for cards that sat in binder sheets for close to 25 years.
@cacsports not bad at all

Although the price increase is changing what I may send in for grading, I would probably limit the amount of the same cards in a given order.
Sweet Topps Bo Jacksons 🔥 🔥. That a Gem Jordan rookie??! $200k+ 😍
Thanks for the note. It is a Gem Jordan Rookie in the background, good eye. But I won't have it much longer.
I would love that card
Thanks for hopping in. There will be more giveaways in the future so keep your eyes peeled.

The 1989 Griffey is so tough I’ve opened a lot of 89 Donruss and rarely found one close to mint

PSA: Graded 5
That's harsh.

I didn't really like the Donruss cards in the 80's
I find that with Donruss in that era I either love or hate the designs
How can't you like the 84 Donruss and in my opinion the 85 Donruss that black with red stripes is just a sexy design very hard grade though.
