I bought a $15 Jewelers Loupe on Amazon to inspect my cards before submission. It's a great little tool, you can see all the little specs and fibers you can't see with your eyes, it's helped my gem rate quite a bit. Loved the inside look at opening day, hope you had fun even with the cold air and you got a W!
How are they "terrible", they both take your money, put the card in a plastic box and give it a random number... Both companies are just as good or just as bad as each other 🤷@@livelycardcollector
Most people such as myself won't ever consider buying a cgc card. They are ugly and you lose most of the value. I'd rather have a psa 9 then a cgc 10 in my collection or store
sent in my first PSA, 2 jeter 93 topps draft pick cards base. Your video helped me out a bunch feeling confident enough to have a clue on what to do. waiting 45 days is going to feel like forever
Heck yeah!!!! Nothing better than hitting a nice pub or brew house before a game and saving money on having to buy food and beers at the game. When I go to Dodger games I stop at a Yard House and get their happy hour prices on beer and nachos.
Sorry man, that was a tough batch. I am new to sending cards in to PSA and have learned a lot from your videos. I'm averaging around 66% on 10's vs all submissions and know I need to be above 70% to really make this work financially otherwise I'll just buy the cards graded. What's killing me is the number of 8's I'm getting as I'm erring on the side of caution but still getting back at least one 8 per order. Do people consider cracking the cards when they get an 8? Keep up the good work and congrats on approaching 100K!
Series 1 was horrendous with what I would like to refer to as micro dimples. The QC looks amazing at first, especially the corners, being that we all expected white corners for the most part. However, the dimples litter so many cards. I feel like that is the main reason why series 1 has seen so many 9s.
Getting back into this hobby again and now that I have a bunch of older and now the new cards. How much was it to send in that many cards? I have never sent anything to be graded before.
STRYKER!!!!! WE HAVE A TEAM!!!also went to opening day. have a big PC collection on Kerry carp and Riley. first time going to opening day tho and its simply a Dif enviornment, was electric. prob go to 10-15 games a year its just not the same. Def going again next year. eat em up tigers eat em up.90-72 on the clock
Just got 21 card submission back. 16 10's, and 5 9's. The best looking card of them all was this scintillating Gunnar /25 Orange Galactic from cosmic. That ended up being one of the 9's. Some of the 10's were for good players, but i also submitted during the $15 dollar per card with a max value of 499. I wonder if they took that into account and just gave it a 9 because of that? The last sale on the PSA 10 was 669 when i submitted.
Just frustrating that if you would have sent the same order to PSA a week later or earlier and got a different grader on a different day, your 9s would probably be tens and your tens would possibly be 7s lol. Thanks for the vid either way. Keep on keeping on Stryker, and thanks for the Sterling Jeter jumbo patch auto 2/5 the other day. I received it and it is BEAUTIFUL!
Awesome video! Love the PSA returns. The Eugene emeralds (Giants High-A) play at my colleges baseball stadium so I went to opening day for them! I got some great autographs and the lineup card from the game. The emeralds won 1-0 on an Onil Perez walk off double. Detroit opening day looks a lot busier 😂
Stryker if you dont mind me asking but what would you rather prefer Corbin carolls Bowman Chrome 1st sapphire or would you go for the Topps Chrome Sapphire
@MyFernandezYTaccount i thought it looked decent, but the top is a bit rough, like it wasn't cut perfectly. Maybe ill do it with the April special. I have a blue foil Jasson Dominguez at PSA right now, I won't hold my breath on that one
I am done slabbing with the monopoly of PSA. It is obvious they are grade pop controlling. Thank you for your great content Stryker! You have great content even when PSA gives you 9's on star rookies & 10's on prospect rookies. ❤
It seems like the grader(s) are taking into account not only condition, but also rarity and player/card desirability? Like… an Elly that’s #/50 will be graded more harshly than a more available card of a less tradable player? That seems a little weird. I think the grade should be based solely on condition. Grader notes would definitely be helpful. But I’m new to all this, so that’s just a Newb’s perspective. 🤷♂️
@@1982cmfHi, I would say to utilize only a regular penny sleeve (as long as it is a standard sized baseball card) and then that is what slides into the card saver. Then, depending on how many you want to submit, you stack them in order and in between a couple pieces of cardboard with rubber bands. Quite a few videos on youtube lay it out with much more detail. But only a sleeve into the card saver, no top loaders involved

I pulled that No team, no name , true variation of Nick Gonzales!
The PSA serial number on the HFA Elly is crazy…crazy 8’s! 😂
I pulled a green Elly /499 and was going to grade it but could see the serial number from the back coming through on the front.
Chilly opening day for sure 🥶⚾️ looking forward to some sunny games.
I appreciate what you’ve done on here! Thanks for all the entertainment ✌️
I was at the game too Stryker . Didn’t feel as cold as last year sitting in section 336. Had some good wind block where I was sitting. Go Tigers 🐯
Prime example why I switched to CGC. Honest grading without the influence of who is on the front. AND better pricing. Give it a shot Stryker.
His entire PC is PSA. He's not going to switch.
CGC is terrible lol
CGC is cool if you want to cut the card value in half

Love the opening day footage! Eventually would like to get to a game at all 30 parks
Heck yeah!!!! Nothing better than hitting a nice pub or brew house before a game and saving money on having to buy food and beers at the game. When I go to Dodger games I stop at a Yard House and get their happy hour prices on beer and nachos.
As a Padres fan and San Diego resident just watching that made me actually feel cold. We are so soft here in SD :)
That Mother’s Day Henry Davis is an amazing card! There are very few things better than opening day baseball! You Rock Stryker!
Cool video. I know if youMichiganders were cold I as a Houstonian would have frozen solid before I got in the building!
It's still crazy to me how cold it is for the first month of baseball up north. Astros hardly play in it so I never see it
Loved that you were at the game brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr😊. And then a nice psa reveal what a cool surprise
Rafaela looks great! Not a bad guy to have..
I didnt know Carlos Pena did pre and post game for the tigers. I went to high school with him and we played ball together for a few years.

Dude it’s friggin snowin, Go Braves!

Lets go Buccos!!! Love seeing those 10s!

Wow, I'm surprised your Elly HFA Gem'd. Those RARELY gem, as you know. That's Hella nice!
Nothing better than some Stryker in the morning 😎
Love these videos as a fellow Michigander! Go Tigers!
Go Tigers!
Not a fan of grading but I understand why people do it, I like having the raw card in hand sleeved and top loaded

Submitted a Correa in person auto /5 from topps now (1st year twins card) and a in person Mauer rookie auto
I’m praying for a Correa 10 10
been waiting for a upload !! love the content

I like that aqua Rafaela
Evan Carter and Luciano are the 2 guys I am hitting in every color this year.
Pink ACUNA RC...wow
Stryker if you dont mind me asking but what would you rather prefer Corbin carolls Bowman Chrome 1st sapphire or would you go for the Topps Chrome Sapphire
Ha ha now I know it why I didn’t see you. You were dressed like an Eskimo. Still allot of fun even with the wind.
I love your videos
thanks for sharing
Go Tigers!
I have a Tatis HFA i was considering submitting, but I dont think i will since you say they are tough. I appreciate the insight
Yeah bro, the HFA cards are really tough to get a 10. But, with that said, having it slabbed, with a 9 grade wouldn't be the worst thing in the world
@MyFernandezYTaccount i thought it looked decent, but the top is a bit rough, like it wasn't cut perfectly. Maybe ill do it with the April special. I have a blue foil Jasson Dominguez at PSA right now, I won't hold my breath on that one
SOTO pink ...what .wow
What about the case break vs buying cards
It's on my list of things to do.
Which series has the orange crackle and is it in those monster boxes?
I think this may be one of the greatest PSA reveal videos of all time
Any idea when these will hit the eBay store? I pc Harris so that 10 is high on my list of must haves
I am done slabbing with the monopoly of PSA. It is obvious they are grade pop controlling. Thank you for your great content Stryker! You have great content even when PSA gives you 9's on star rookies & 10's on prospect rookies. ❤
What are you talking about? He got 10s on Soto, Ohtani and Acuna - biggest stars in the league..
the grader is a pirate's fan.. lol
great show
Lucky son of a gun,,man I'm a Baltimore fan but tigers and pirate's are both tough teams...great video strikeman...Riley Green gonna be good I think
I can figure it out, it was #’ed to 50 so its an automatic 9
Luv how u let the street preacher finish his sentence and then cut the video, Points homie!!!
do collect tiger baseball cards. if so, I may have some rare al kline you maybe interested in
I would looooooove a video all about submitting to PSA. As a newbie, it would be super valuable to see how a seasoned submission collector does it.
I made one. Search my channel
Anthem was sick. I wished the whole anthem was on here.
24 Topps is a tough grade 😖😖
DAM U SENT SOME GOOD CARDS IN....WOW
its because you cut up those pirates cards. lol serves you right lol
How much for the Rafaelas?
Grumpy grader?

Ouch 🤕
I see whats going on here lol
It's odd that all the Ellys were 9's and the lesser players were 10's.
That elly orange is the best looking 9 I’ve ever seen
Hello Everyone, when submitting a Topps baseball #ed card to PSA, do you use a 55 point top loader?
submit cards in "card savers" It's a thinner lighter card protector
Morning, So a 55 point, will slide into a standard card saver?
@@1982cmfHi, I would say to utilize only a regular penny sleeve (as long as it is a standard sized baseball card) and then that is what slides into the card saver. If you really want to know if, or what, is wrong with any of your cards (like that orange elly) just crack and send to TAG
starting to like tag more now with these questionable grades.
It sounds like a typical Opening Day in Minneapolis. Overcast. Temps in the 30s. Snowflakes.
Some interesting serial numbers on these slabs: 8888888
