As a manual wheelchair user who is able to manage stairs and regular bathrooms accessibility is a perk but I don’t worry about it to Much cause not afraid to ask for help if needed

Thank you for all your videos. I watched it thinking it was interesting how Cole was living with his disability. Little did I know how important your videos would be to me. I was diagnosed with acute Transverse Myelitis, a fancy way of saying inflammation of the spinal cord, a rare condition that affects 1-8 in a million. I went from walking Friday night, not walking Sunday morning, and admitted in the hospital Monday morning memorial day 22. I am partially paralyzed from the waist down with little feeling. Your videos helped me cope with this a bit better. My doctors, hospital neurologist, and therapist all think I will fully recover since it was found quickly. With TM most recovery will be in the first 6 months with minimal recovery after 1-2 years. As of right now I am able to walk supposed but In a wheelchair most of the day. I want to thank you again for sharing your life with us.

@@lauradonaldson3269 you are welcome Laura! I’m in New York and there are a lot of work that still need to be done. In my neighborhood I noticed recently that some of the side walks are now wheel chairs friendly.

By way of suggestion, anybody taking photos for google maps and similar, should include pictures of ramps/ similar facilities at the same time or mention the lack of. Do the right thing by your wider community.

I think the bathroom door was a little hard to turn the knob and push open. the should have automatic handicap button you touch and the door opens.

Love you guys ☺️ I remember back in the day before technology when deaf people in the drive through would just have to come through the drive through or dine in and have to write down everything back and forth. Luckily many fast foods in the states have been accessible for years and I had many wheel chair customers.
I’m so happy to see you doing this, I didn’t realize how many places aren’t accessible until I could no longer walk through the door without a rollator or wheelchair

I’ve lived here all my life and I’m a native Californian and we have plenty of wheelchair accessibility especially when it comes to public transportation. Like if you were to take the metro bus any metro bus there’s a ramp the driver will put down and you roll yourself up and they will lock your wheelchair in place if you take the train you can roll right on and there is an area for accessibility for wheelchairs. If you go to the movies
There’s a spot inside the movie theater that is especially for people who need accessibility for their wheelchair. If you go to a restaurant they gonna accommodate you by moving one chair out of the way so you could roll up to the table there is plenty of parking spots in LA depending on where you go that have handicap parking and you can get a handicap lacquer to put on your car on the rearview mirror so that hangs so when you go to park your car you’ll be all good to go. So I guess there’s definitely plenty of accessibility for wheelchairs and people who use walkers and people who just need accessibility. When I was using a wheelchair for 12 weeks because I broke my left ankle my boyfriend would we’ll meet you the bus stop and we get on And when we got off at the stop that we were getting off it it was no problem you will write down the ramp and you proceed to where you wanna go so yes there’s most definitely plenty of accessibility for wheelchairs as well as disabled young adults an elderly males and females

I am disabled and I consider bathroom doors that do not automatically open Or at the very least have the closing mechanism removed not accessible.
Love the directions are very accessible that is the most very important thing but the desserts very very nice wow

This video is great. I hope you keep putting these restaurants to the test. Keep them honest. I live in NorCal and can't think of the last time I went to a restaurant that didn't check the boxes. Barring historical buildings which can't be changed from their original state I am hoping my state exceeds the standards. Oh, the placard is great. All PUBLIC parking is free.
I live in Long Beach and was quire surprised at the choices of eatery. Greatly "Njoyed " the informational post. God is pleased at the positive vibes you guys are putting out in the universe.

You could mention on your restaurant review( first one) that the place add info about street parking avail for disabled at no cost. Here in South Australia if parking says 2hrs( paid & unpaid) disabled cars( with same hanging sticker you have) the time is automatically doubled

Hello Cole & Charisma. I love your video's and learning more ways I can go about having more accessibility. As always, an awesome video! I just got back from camping with 2 of my grandchildren. I enjoy camping with my kids and grandchildren. We always get a camp site that is handicap accessible. But this year it was booked. A couple of days into camping, I learned the people that had the handicap site, were not handicap. We did book alittle late but I was still upset they gave the site to people who did not need it. I could understand it if they booked it on this past Thursday. But I felt they didn't want to chance losing money and rented the site to a non handicap group. Do you feel I am wrong for being upset over it? Do you think it's right for them to book handicap sites out to non handicap people? Please let me know your opinions. God Bless!
