Cole, whether you rent or buy, make a roll-in-shower a priority. Charisma and you both deserve it, and with a baby it will make everything so much easier. If you can get a ceiling mounted lift that would be the icing on the cake. I have both, and they take a lot of the work out of caring for me. They also give me the independence to be safe when I'm home alone and in the event of an emergency. I'm trying to move to SoCal just for the weather. What you said about being able to go outside and the effect on your mental health is so true!
The deaf community stuck it out, made a movie, and won an Oscar, so Cole your community will too, it's just about patience. Keep enjoying the sunshine in LA.
As someone who doesn’t have family around when my wife and I had our child, get help. You will need it. If family can't come and stay, hire a nanny. Babies take a lot of time and energy and no matter what, you aren't prepared for it. With that being said, I know you two will be wonderful parents.
