Chester's death broke my heart and darkened a good bit of my world because another a bright star had faded from it's sky. Seeing you doing your own thing and thriving helps brighten that sky again. Thank you for continuing to gift us with your talent. Thank you for stepping up and out and being the star we needed. I will always love Linkin Park. Y'all were a part of my life growing up and well into adulthood. I'll follow you and the others until the day comes that y'all retire or I go deaf. Whichever comes first. LOL! Again, thank you. Carry on!!
LP got me through countless struggles during my late teens/20's. I spiraled when we lost Chester and my life fell apart at the same time. Mike and Post Traumatic pulled me through it. Thank you. Your music has literally saved my life.
Thank you for sharing something so personal, Ryan. LP's work saved me from a pretty dark place too and Post Traumatic has helped me work through some very difficult hardships. Hope you're doing good, man. It can get rough out there, but you keep going if it does, and I'll do the same.
I don’t think I can say in succinct words how much this album has helped me since the release. I’ve survived 2 suicide attempts this year. I am a lonely and deeply flawed person with not a lot of support. This album has helped...immensely. I have connected so deeply with so many of the songs, I almost feel like I commissioned half of them personally. It allowed me to feel joy and smile and dance along at a time when it was just me in my head in a dark place. I know you are likely to never see this, and that is fine. You gave me something I really needed, and it helped beyond measure. I am still alive because I chose to listen to your music and feel better when I had absolutely nothing else. I just don’t feel I can thank you enough for that. If you continue to make music or not, I will be here to support you as you have done with me.
Hi black smoke... I could relate to u. I had a rough life growing up with no dad around and my mom drinking and doing drugs and she's been gone a year and three months.plus I lost my aunt and baby sister at age 12..so all my depression lead to dark days that linkin park music helped me with and Mike's music does the same. Thank you for the reminder of Mike and LP. God bless them

Dont be afraid to be alone, in time you will find someone that truly cares about you. Just let things happen, enjoy the up and down of your life. So much good things in life wasted if you die, for example this song. Dont care about small stuff like no friend, no gf/bf thats just the part of your life, theres alot of people like you out there having the same problem and they dont give a fuck about that lonely stuff XD. Start to enjoy yourself first!

Can someone please take notice of his talent and give him his credit which has been overdue ever since he started his music career.. This guy never seems to stop evolving.. Amazing talent of this generation.. RESPECT.. 🤘
Don't listen to the media. If anything of what they were saying was true, this album wouldn't have so much heart in it. We all wouldn't have been able to feel the pain that Mike felt when we all lost Chester. This is literally the best response he could have given to them.
He didn't produce everything- for the first 5 records they worked with professional producers and he just helped, in THP and OML Mike and Brad both produced. He's still great though!
@@Ariel_thenotsolittlemermaidna they had producer credits but Mike wrote almost every thing and put together the beats. The hybrid theory clean sound was against the wishes of the record label.
It wasn't just one. They made it together. All of them. They all wrote Lyrics. I think Brad wrote Sharp Edges for example. But often Mike took the songs and worked it out to a Linkin Park song. This is why Chester started Dead by Sunrise. (That does'nt mean that chester didn't like the way Mike worked. He just wanted to put his feelings and lyrics in his own sound) But yes Mike is the "Brain" of Linkin Park.

Mike, I think of you often! Not because I’m a huge fan, but because you’ve shown, the most strength I’ve ever seen in the music world. I am still destroyed over Chester, but Linkin Park wasn’t just Chester. It was Mike, Phoenix, Brad, Chester, Joe and Rob. Always remember that!!! From what I can see of your personal life, that you choose to share with us, you are an amazing human being. Period. Again... please remember, Chester was not Linkin Park. He can never be replaced, as we all know, but you and the guys can not just give up on Linkin Park. Find a way!! The rest of you are amazing talents in your own rights. Find a way!! Change the music a little, add a member... idk, just don’t let 17 years worth of hard work and love slip away. This album you made, helped every one of us out there. Thank you for that.
You know what, I thought about this just before reading your comment, and I really think that a chapter has ended with Chesters passing, I don't know how I would feel if an other singer replaces Chester, or even if they go on with Mike as the only lead ... Linkin Park was an amazing chapter of our lives, for some it was even more ... Now it's time to build something new, a new group infused with Chesters and LPs memory ... At least that's what I think ... Oh, by the way your text made me cry 🙏❤
LegacyL97 LegacyL97 that’s what I said.. Chester can never be replaced. And no one would ever think of doing that. I said add another member, as a suggestion. To me, that is not replacing Chester, it would just be changing sound a little. The original LP will never be the same, but those guys are family. They are amazing talents, and again.. Chester was not Linkin Park. And this is coming from someone who STILL will watch the fun videos they made and cry. I’ll still cry about Chester 2 or 3 times a week, sometimes more. I got a new puppy that was born three days before he died. His name is Chester Bennington. lol But I was also a big fan of Brad’s awesome solos, Rob’s amazing drumming, Joe is the crazy talented in a few things, Dave is just delightful all around, and there is nothing I can say about Mike. There are no words for how I think and feel about him. Brilliant mind, brilliant heart. Linkin Park was my voice for 17 years. I’ve been through Hell and back in my life and there was ALWAYS a song that seemed like it came from my brain. They are all just amazing human beings and belong together making music. I don’t care if they change the name to Linkin Twat, just as long as they come back. I’m writing a book here, I’ll stop. 😳
Péter Oláh not to be informed, but know your facts. Linkin Park had auditions for a lead singer. That is how they found Chester Bennington. Then they were refused a lot because people didn’t agree with the two vocalist concept. Been a fan since the summer before they debuted in fall of 2000. I have songs downloaded from when they were known as Xero, then Hybrid Theory... and then Chester suggested Linkin Park. #TheMoreYouKnow
I don't know the average talent of the artists this year, but I wouldn't nominate him either. I don't find anything interesting in his album. It is not bad. It just is where it deserves to be. Lost in the middle of an ocean of music. The last Queens of the Stone Age album, for example, might, I think, be an elegant sailboat sailing graciously over the surface of that ocean.
@@raphaelsmith120 That is just a lie you invented because why not. It is a good album, fans like it, and critics like it too. Welcome to the crew. Youre always welcome here. Im 32. Linkin Park came out in my teenage angst days. I was in the midst of the nu-metal wave at 12 when crawling came out. They saved me quite literally. They forever hold a place in my heart. Hope they stay in yours too!
These comments are really cool; it's nice to know there are other people who are still getting into LP now and who haven't been around since the beginning. I'm 19 and I found LP probably sometime in 2015, so I've been a fan for awhile, but I still feel like I missed out on a lot. At this point the band feels like home and all the music holds a really special place in my heart, so I'm glad that people are still discovering them and that Mike's still doing his thing :)
The difference between this and fort minor is outer perspective of what's going on around him..and himself now is all inner emotion and conflict and its beautiful to watch this growth.
I have spent most of my life living with a very toxic person. And even when I finally left, I felt like they were still right next to me. I had so much anger inside me. But this song helped me to realize that I’m free now. I’m still struggling a lot, but I know that they can’t bring me down anymore. So you can call till your voice is running out, but I can’t hear you now. Thank you, Mike.
This breaks my heart, I hope you’re doing okay. I broke with my family yesterday after a long time being treated as less of a person. And this song is on repeat today. I can’t hear them now
Sadly I feel like the music industry is completely ignoring one of the most talented and hard working people I've ever seen. Wish you were nominated for Grammy's this year, you really deserved it. But I know that's not what it's about for you of course. Just hope your great work gets the recognition it deserves.
I dont think MIke is underrated at all. I think he's got a Niche following of loyal fans who will support whatever he chooses to do which is a great spot to be in. It would be amazing to hear all his music on the radio, but he's already been wildly successful with Fort Minor and Linkin Park. I think with that level of success its hard to complain about any level of support thrown his way. He's defiantly on his own level when it comes to raw talent, most rappers don't come close. He's one of the Ace's up my sleeve when showing people new music they should listen to.
This is the most real comment here. I personally would love it if he was more popular as well but he's had his time with fame. Dude's got so much money he doesn't have to work another day on his life. He said instead of building a bigger audience on tiktok or youtube, he went into twitch, knowing the numbers are gonna be small. He's focusing on helping up and coming musicians and lots of charity work.
It might even be better to have more of a cult following than mainstream success because like this he doesn't have to try and appease the mainstream and can focus on making art
@@charliesmith4951 that's your opinion and I won't fight over it. I like the song and, I may be the only one who likes it but, I'm gonna tell my opinion the same way you did. ✌️

Chester was Chester. He'll never return to us. And it's too painful to tolerate such shock that Mike experienced. Mike is a talent. But the world is a cruel place where he becomes underrated continuously. 🙁
Underrated? Most lyrics are written by him and his solo concerts are booked out... don't think he is underrated. His voice is not as fantastic as Chesters was, but Chesters voice was unique in a billion, not many humans can sing like he was able to.

I know you'll probably never see this comment, but, Mike, you and Chester got me through some rough times in my life. Carry on!!
The best comment I've ever seen dude. I respect you. Same story here man
Wow great me too im glad mike doing his own thing
Follow until you die, because even being deaf, doesn't mean you can't feel the music, physically and emotionally.

Can't believe Chester died it's hard and if u understand this song like this
LP got me through countless struggles during my late teens/20's. I spiraled when we lost Chester and my life fell apart at the same time. Mike and Post Traumatic pulled me through it. Thank you. Your music has literally saved my life.
I'have the same think to you Ryan ! Enjoy the life now !

Don't listen to the media. If anything of what they were saying was true, this album wouldn't have so much heart in it. We all wouldn't have been able to feel the pain that Mike felt when we all lost Chester. This is literally the best response he could have given to them.
But what benefit would Chester's sister get by saying that about Mike?
Wait what hapenned? Did I miss sth?

It wasn't just one. They made it together.
All of them.
They all wrote Lyrics. I think Brad wrote Sharp Edges for example.
But often Mike took the songs and worked it out to a Linkin Park song. This is why Chester started Dead by Sunrise.
(That does'nt mean that chester didn't like the way Mike worked. He just wanted to put his feelings and lyrics in his own sound)

I agree with that but not with replacing Chester. He can't be replaced.
@@taraechok2376 excuse me for being a smartass but Chester was the 2nd singer in Linkin Park.

These comments are really cool; it's nice to know there are other people who are still getting into LP now and who haven't been around since the beginning. That's what's up
I dont think MIke is underrated at all.
This amazing singer can rap, make art, play the guitar, and play the piano. And of course, he's in Linkin Park (best band ever)
